Great experience using Census

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy Census makes it for us to transfer properties and attributes to Klaviyo. This really helps our email marketing team with customer segmentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it were a little easier to troubleshoot when there were run failures. We spent a lot of time trying to figure out what was the issue instead of actually fixing it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Census is helping us transfer our fields and attributes to other programs. It allows us to create segments and apply them to different tools across the super helpful organization. In my case, much of our product-based customer segmentation is easily transferred over to Klaviyo.

What do you like best about the product?
An easy-to-use interface where all integrations are easily viewable.
Intuitive set-up for new data integrations.
What do you dislike about the product?
When integrations fail during a sync it is difficult to determine what the failure was caused by and how to repair the integration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Census has solved our problem of connecting data to our vendors in a secure and intuitive manner.

What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility in setting up models, entities, segements and syncs with our Data Warehouse

Error messaging requires maturity but that's only because they've created a new connector for our specific business needs

Activating all our first party data, which we have only used for emails but givng our digital marketing team and beyond the ability to generate customised and personlised customer lists at speed

What do you like best about the product?
Census has helped us to use data operations easily and effectively with the help of data modelling functions. We are able to effectively use data and get insights out of it from various sources easily, which won’t be an easy task without it. The feature which I like personally is the analytics and reports which are provided and provides great understanding to the data and allowing data transfer across different clouds and sources.
What do you dislike about the product?
Implementation and set-up time is something which consumes a lot of time which we dislike and required a lot of times, another thing which I dislike is the compatibility with various data sources and limitations on functionality part.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Census helped integration of data from various data sources, allowing an easy and efficient Sync from all the sources integrated, helping us to get consistent and accurate data irrespective of large and complex data sets allowing to use it the way we need by easy transformations and reshaping.

What do you like best about the product?
I recently started using Census for my business and I have to say, I am extremely impressed. There are so many advantages to using this platform, and I wanted to share my experience in more detail.

First and foremost, Census is extremely easy to use. As someone who is not particularly technical, I was worried about the learning curve, but the layout is intuitive and the onboarding process was very helpful. Within just a few minutes, I was able to get started and begin transforming and leveraging my data.

One of the biggest advantages for me has been the ability to integrate Census with other tooling systems. In the past, I had data siloed in my data warehouse and it was difficult to get that data into other systems, such as my CRM. With Census, it was a breeze. I was able to quickly pipe my product data into my CRM and set up reporting for my reps in just a day. It was a game-changer for my business.

Another key advantage of Census is the support provided by the team. Whenever I have had a question or issue, I have been able to get quick and helpful support. The team is responsive and understanding, and they even set up a copy of my data to try and replicate any issues I was experiencing. I really appreciate the level of support I have received.

In addition to the support, I have also appreciated the ease of sync scheduling with Census. It is streamlined and straightforward to set up and maintain data syncs, and the documentation available is more than enough to guide me through the process.

The user interface for Census is another standout feature. It is simple yet powerful, and both technical and non-technical team members have been able to use it effectively. The API debugger within the UI has also been incredibly useful for quickly identifying and resolving any issues that arise.

One of the things that has really impressed me about Census is their willingness to listen to customer feedback and take action. They have built out additional functionality for me when requested, and it has been delivered quickly and effectively. It is clear that they value their customers and are committed to making the platform as useful and effective as possible.

Finally, I have to mention how fast and easy it was to set up Census and load data. Within just 15 minutes, I was up and running with my first data load. This has been a huge advantage for my business, as we have been able to move "FAST" with Census and replace several engineering-built processes with the platform.

In conclusion, I highly recommend Census to anyone looking to transform and leverage their data. The platform has so many advantages, including ease of use, integration with other tooling systems, quick and helpful support, sync scheduling, an intuitive UI, an API debugger, and a commitment to customer feedback. It is also fast and easy to set up and load data, and has provided valuable insights for my business. Overall, I have had a fantastic experience with Census and would highly recommend it to others.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have been using Census for several months now and overall, I am satisfied with the platform. That being said, there are a few downsides that I have experienced during my time using it.

First and foremost, I have found it can be difficult to make changes to syncs once they are set up. If I make a mistake or want to adjust something, it can be challenging to do so without setting up a new sync and deleting the original. This can be frustrating and time-consuming.

Another downside is the limited search and organization features within Census. It can be tough to find and organize models, particularly if there is a lot of activity on the account. It would be helpful to have folders or groups, or at least the ability to search for models by name.

In terms of the user interface and user experience, I have noticed that some features can be buggy or lacking. This can make tasks more frustrating than they need to be, and I have found myself having to work around these issues at times.

As a relatively new product, Census does not have as much documentation or resources available as other platforms. This can be a drawback for users who are looking for more guidance or want to troubleshoot issues on their own.

Another challenge I have encountered is the dependence on SQL knowledge. As someone who is not particularly familiar with SQL, I have found it difficult to work with some of the more advanced features of Census. While I recognize that this is a gap in my own skill set rather than a fault of the platform, it is still something that I have had to work around.

Setting up new syncs with Census can also be somewhat time-consuming, and I have had instances where I have been logged out while trying to save a sync, only to find that all of my work has been lost and I have to start over. It would be helpful to have a feature that allows users to copy and paste existing syncs for situations where the same sync needs to be set up for different environments.

Finally, I have found it can be awkward to view the configuration of large syncs within Census. It can be tough to browse through all of the fields to find the one I am looking for, and a search feature would be very helpful in these situations.

Overall, while I have been satisfied with Census as a platform, these are the downsides that I have experienced. It would be great to see the team address some of these issues in future updates to make the platform even better.

Finally, Census has helped us gain a better understanding of our data and how it can be used to drive success. The platform has given us greater visibility into our data and has helped us see patterns and trends that we might have otherwise missed. This has been invaluable in helping us make better informed decisions and drive better results.

Overall, I have been extremely impressed by Census and the problems it has helped me solve. It has made it easier for me to access and use my data, streamline and automate my data management processes, and gain a better understanding of my data and how it can be used to drive business success. I would highly recommend Census to anyone looking to improve their data management and integration processes.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy and intuitive interface with out of the box reverse ETL functionality. Minimum maintenance, variety of connectors and great uptime.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Lack of version control (like Git)
- Field based pricing model can get costly for certain connector types and use cases

What do you like best about the product?
I think the automated startup experience is the best feature. It takes very little time to get up and running.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't love how certain schema updates cost so much. With smaller companies that are constantly updating their database schemas, costs can add up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fivetran is just saving me time. Instead of me having to build a data pipeline to get production data into our warehouse, Fivetran does it for me. It saved me quite a bit of time and head ache.

What do you like best about the product?
Overall, clean UI has helped to manage the data most conveniently and reliably. The tool efficiently handles the whole organisation's data easily without any problem, on top of everything the tool is easy to use and understand and to get started with.
What do you dislike about the product?
They should work on reducing runtime as runtime is something which we disliked. Also more integations should be there, rest everyhting works fine.
