What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to setup connections and get up and running. The connectors are stable and the documentation is comprehensive and kept up to date.
What do you dislike about the product?
Managing spend takes some getting used to. You can easily end up spending more than you need to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fivetran has allowed me to centalise my data into a data warehouse for reporting.

What do you like best about the product?
It is very helpful that I can integrate multiple product with my Big Query.
Even though it is difficult to analyze the perfomance of the product, when Fivetran synced, I can analyze a lot of values via Big Query.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a little bit annoying that a lot of data would be synced and the cost would be so high depend of the service to sync. So, it is required to tune the table.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fivetran resolving the problem with data extraction of the service I use. Without Fivetran, it is needed to create API request by myself just for exporting data.

What do you like best about the product?
Our criteria were the availability of SaaS connectors and ease of use, because we only wanted one extraction tool for everything to keep complexity low. Fivetran had a few connectors that nobody else had and the setup was simple with UI and programmatic options.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing of note. Back in the day, the pricing was steep with heavy use, but that has gotten better since.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Syncing data from SaaS tools that our teams use to the data warehouse and analyse it together for richer insights not possible in those tools alone.

Simplifies working with multiple external tools

What do you like best about the product?
* Saves us from learning a new API when we consume a new tool. Was very useful integrating with Braze, Vitally.
* Dry run to know what the thing would sync is useful
* Log of syncs and updates works with us in Snowflake
What do you dislike about the product?
* When I accidentally try to sign in with Google instead of using SAML, the screen hangs.
* Would be nice for Census to remember my login email when I log in again
* I think some of our syncs are being counted towards our usage quota in our staging environment when I feel like only production usage should be counted
* It's hard to parse different pricing across our external tools. Braze charges by field update
* Sometimes sync failures sporadically and seem to be noisy
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about the product?
Census is an amazing tool for API aggregation that connects a wide range of data sources and integrations. With its user-friendly interface, it is an excellent choice for businesses of all sizes. It can handle both simple and complex data transfer tasks with ease. Additionally, it offers a broad range of native connections and guides, which make managing data transfer tasks more comfortable and faster. Its versatility and practicality are unparalleled, and its compatibility with different platforms is one of the reasons why businesses opt for it. Overall, Census is an essential tool for businesses that need to manage their data transfer tasks efficiently and effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only minor dislike I have about Census relates to the tiers they use for classifying clients. They charge based on the number of columns, not rows, that you sync. This means that you may end up using tricks such as combining columns from the data source, causing Census to count two or more columns as one, and then splitting these columns again in the destination. Another workaround could be creating a JSON structure from multiple columns. Regardless, you may end up needing to find these workarounds in order to avoid increasing your billing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Census solves the problem of managing data transfer tasks efficiently and effectively for businesses. Its user-friendly interface and broad range of native connections and guides make managing data transfer tasks more comfortable and faster. Census's versatility and practicality are unparalleled, making it an essential tool for businesses. By using Census, I am able to handle both simple and complex data transfer tasks with ease, saving time and resources.

Great product and great company

What do you like best about the product?
The two things I love about Census are the product and the team. The product is very easy to use and flexible based on your team's use case. The product has opened up data to us in Salesforce that would have been very difficult to get in any other way. The team is also phenomenal. Everything from onboarding, ongoing support, generating product feedback, and renewals has been easy and collaborative. They are accommodating without reaching out to you consistently about new features, etc. I love working with the team and would continue to use the product based on the service that we receive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. I really enjoy the product and the team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The tool is helping us get data from Snowflake to Salesforce, Zendesk, and Marketo. This taking work off our engineering and data analytics team and allows us to have the data where we need it.

Powerful Data Conduit to Marketo, Iterable and more

What do you like best about the product?
- Connectors to Marketo and Iterable are easy to use and rapid to set up
- Supports Marketo leads, lists, custom objects and set or set only if null functionality
- Optimized for minimal API usage using BULK connectors
- Audience sync allows for segment creation without needing to transfer all data to Marketo or other marketing systems
- Rapid to respond to customer suggestions
What do you dislike about the product?
- The audience interface is still young and needs work to avoid confusion
- Pricing model by number of columns or fields is strange
- Needs better handling of duplicate email matches in Marketo (we had to use person id in our syncs to avoid failure)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Keeping data in sync between marketing systems and data warehouse
- Maintaining data completeness in critical marketing systems
- Moving large amounts of data while optimizing use of API quota's/limits of each platform
- Managing hundreds of connections in parallel without negatively impacting individual data streams

Game changer for Reverse ETL

What do you like best about the product?
We've been able to automate the augmenting and updating of Salesforce and Intercom with data from our Data Warehouse. This has been a game changer to help allow for more enrichment of our CRM, as well as the automation of case creation. Having the entire feedback loop of sending data from Salesforce and Intercom to our Data Warehouse and then back to those applications from the Data Warehouse has been incredible.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much to dislike. We started testing their Mailgun integration and immediately got asked to start paying for it. It would have been nice to collaborate and to have them understand our use case before asking us for more money.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reverse ETL to get data from our Data Warehouse into our CRM and customer communication platform.

Our frontline and customer communications are richer now that we can enable the whole data feedback loop.

Nice tool to trigger notifications among many apps and make reverse ETL.

Not being able to set some logic for the notifications.
