What do you like best about the product?
Seamlessly integrates large amounts of data and offers great segmentation for user targeting and syncing for various data sets from our data warehouse to a number of external connectors

The tool is very powerful, but to make use of a number of features it may take time to learn.

Census segments and distributes data to a number of our digital advertising partners

Solid Reverse ETL, Usage-based Pricing is Limiting

What do you like best about the product?
It just works. We use Census to sync data from our warehouse into marketing, sales, and customer success tools. Whenever we need to add a new field to those tools, Census is our go-to. It's simple, straightforward, and just works as expected.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing is a little limiting. We're paying for the number of destination fields so while it's easy to add new fields to Census to sync elsewhere, it's also easy to hit the cap. We find ourselves having to clean out and remove fields on a regular basis that we would otherwise keep syncing. Obviously, we could increase our plan limit to avoid this, but it's easy for costs to scale quickly once you're in the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Census to sync fields between tools and from our data warehouse (fivetran/redshift) to tools like Salesforce, Hubspot, Vitally, etc.

What do you like best about the product?
Census makes it really easy to move data between applications or out of your warehouse into other tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a bit of a learning curve to the interface
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I need to keep data synced between different tools that don't necessarily integrate directly with each other, Census makes this possible.

Just getting data out of applications into always up-to-date spreadsheets is a huge benefit.

What do you like best about the product?
It's very intuitive and easy to use without an engineering background. I was able to navigate the pages using the side panel easily and set up links quickly and accurately.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tests that I ran did not always work off the bat. I also did not pickup on the need to "Force Sync" when changing any of the parameters in the receiving software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Census is helping streamline data from our Looker database into Anaplan, which is saving a ton of manual effort pasting the data over from one to the other. It allows me to quickly sync the data and have it reflected in my model.

Great tool for Salesforce

What do you like best about the product?
Our company uses census to streamline our salesforce/database sync process. This makes the sync between these 2 sources much easier and allows for the flexibility we need in a ETL tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much! The tool does everything we need for this solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have some complex calculations that we perform in a system outside of salesforce. This allows us to selectively sync data back and forth between the data warehouse and SFDC.

What do you like best about the product?
Census is easy to configure (with a little SQL) and does exactly what it says as a reverse ELT. Once you've set it up, it consistently runs in the background - you can set it and forget it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a bit of a learning curve to set up your first connections, but once you get past that there's not much to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Census sends data from our data warehouse to a handful of specific tools. It feeds into our analytics tool and enriches Salesforce profiles, among other things.

What do you like best about the product?
- Able to adjust the query/logic as needed
- Can be able to track model refreshes and schedule
What do you dislike about the product?
- Hard to get details when refresh failed - is there a way to see which records did not get processed? Was hard to diagnose/troubleshoot when this happens
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping to automate data population in a scalable way to our CRM platform and provide more accurate reporting

Can be a bit overwhelming and confusing but once the asset is built, it's amazing!
