Martech leader leveraging Census for scaled audience activation
What do you like best about the product?
Straight forward product. Good at what it does and performs consistently. Continuing to innovate, keeping Census in the stack considerations as we grow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Historically challenging to get a strong sense of the roadmap to plan against.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We leverage Census for batch audience exports to 3p tools - allowing us to segment data in our DWH and safely share defined 1p audiences with our marketing platforms.
Great tool for data loading across multiple platforms
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use interface, great selection of connections for most common platforms, databases and tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some writeback capabilities (like resetting destination tables) could be improved, pricing after year 1/promotional period could be better

Sending data from DWH/ODS to multiple 3rd party platforms

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use and is user friendly. Our data team has been able to leverage Census with our data warehouse and empower other teams to enrich their data.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like an in-product user-guided tour at the first login.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows teams outside the data and analytics team to enrich their data sources with transformed data the data team has out together.

It helps us to create different segment of our data very easily.

NA, as we have not encountered anything as such.

That is helping to do different calculation at different segment level.

What do you like best about the product?
The UI is clear and user-friendly; integrations for source and destination are straightforward; and syncs are very flexible!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there is an easier way to track the destination-fields being used actively, to monitor and optimize capacity.

Census helps us send back relevant datasets to other applications that need them!

Having used Census to unify and manage our customer data, we have been impressed with the platform's capabilities and ease of use. The ability to create user segments and send them to email marketing platforms and ad networks has been a game-changer for our marketing campaigns, allowing us to create more targeted and personalized content for our audience. Additionally, sending lifetime value data to ad networks has helped us optimize our advertising campaigns and drive better ROI. All of this with ability to take data from centrally defined user dimension and fact tables in our data warehouse.

What do you dislike about the product?
In some cases you can feel that Census is fairly young company that still experiences bugs or are missing key components in their syncs (i.e. batching the syncs, if the API endpoint is rate limited). Though in all cases they were able to fix those issues within 2-3 weeks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Marketing audiences syncing to ad networks (google, meta, tiktok). Marketing audience syncing to email marketing platform. Conversion tracking (sending LTV) to Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, etc. Sending product usage data for enterprise customer success platform to better inform customer success teams.
Capable Software for your Data Needs
What do you like best about the product?
I like the capabilities of census to automate data collection helped a lot in saving the time and managing operations in the effective way along with security to protect sensitive data preventing unauthorised access.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found many technical glitches while operating and other thing was, not getting used to it easily takes some time to get used to it also require some training .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Census has helped to analyse, retrieve and store data efficiently helping to save time, it has also brought accuracy and efficiency in our day to day operations.
Powerful Reverse ETL
What do you like best about the product?
As a business user, the clean UI is a big bonus. It makes it easy to see existing syncs and the associated configurations to understand whether they are setup according to business requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would definitely like to see additional Matching Rules for certain tools (e.g. Mirroring for Gainsight).
Otherwise mainly excited for our tech team to leverage more features in Census to better leverage its capabilities.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping push redshift data into our other tools (that don't either don't have existing redshift connectors or don't offer the flexibility we need). This decreases potential tech time and overhead otherwise needed to build such connections.
Simple UI yet powerful tool
What do you like best about the product?
Connecting your data sources and destinations is a matter of few clicks. Likewise you can set up syncs that will keep all your platforms in sync with your sources.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. It does what it says. Connection with Firebase would be useful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have our source of truth in a data warehouse which then we have to sync to our different platforms. Census allows to keep all these tools in sync with our warehouse.
