A must-have tool for getting your data to be where you need it
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use, intuitive, and potent solution to get data flowing to all the right places. Even small companies can now benefit from an efficient data structure thanks to tools like Census.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the pricing should be based on actual data being transferred. The number of fields method feels arbitrary. Also, troubleshooting when things don't work correctly could've been more straightforward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting all the relevant data for sales teams into Salesforce without writing a single line of code. That helps the team save time by not having to use multiple apps to get the data they need to operate.

Easy use, good overview, lots of connectors...
What do you dislike about the product?
Could use more sync fields in the lower packages...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting important data and calculations from our DWH into our CRM.
Great product that does exact what it should
What do you like best about the product?
Allows us to easily send data to all of our key sources. And once it's set up, the tool keeps an eye to ensure that things are working with very little interaction from us... that is unless something goes wrong (which is infrequent) and the tool lets us know.
What do you dislike about the product?
This isn't a blocker for us, but Census is building out their connector base. They have all of the critical connectors we need, and they have been extremely helpful in prioritizing product and eng effort to build out the new sources as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting data out from our data stack to downstream systems with minimal effort. Normally I would need to have a person monitoring this, but Census serves that purpose.

The UI is super simple to use and navigate around very easy to test

I would like to see some feature upgrades but there is nothing I dislike about it

Census is helping us with our marketing data sync - Forget me request automation, updating auduiences in Mailchimp

What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to set up and schedule new syncs. I'm happy with the platform itself as it's intuitive to use and troubleshoot where there are any errors. The team support we get as well is top-notch. I really appreciate the thorough responses and feel that the team there does everything possible to resolve any questions or requests we have. Census also agreed to help build out some functionality we needed for our use case and they delivered it quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
On the platform side, it can be tedious to test as once a sync is created we cannot change the destination. So if I build and test a large sync to the salesforce sandbox, the sync has to be recreated for prod. This just opens a window for error particularly when many columns are named too similarly in either the data or SFDC directly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a lot of data that needs to be shifted from system to system. Census makes that process 10x easier than doing these syncs without a service provider, and makes it far less error prone.

Using the tool to automate processes and avoid unnecessary work by making things very efficient thru queries and scheduled runs
What do you dislike about the product?
Tool is easy to use when you get the hang of it, but maybe would make a quick runthru tool to make sure you know what to use while onboarding
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automating processes that would otherwise require a whole team to stay on top of and manage
Census has been very helpful for data integrations and automating our notification system
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use, saving us a lot of time when we need to add new integrations to our Data Warehouse. It has also helped us reduce lots of custom code and manual work.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Slack notifications we have used so far have been pretty rigid. It would be nice to customise the outlook of the notifications more than currently possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Census is helping us with our data integrations to the Data Warehouse. Additionally, we also use it to send out slack notifications when certain alerts are triggered.
Census is easy-to-use and very powerful, and so has become an integral part of our data tech stack.
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy how straightforward Census is to use, especially when setting up a new connection. It's very much a plug-and-play tool, which is so useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've found modifying existing connections to be a bit tricky, especially when there are platform changes in between the initial set up of the connector and modifying it. E.g., I recently wanted to modify a connector that had a 'Create only' matching rule and create a new connector with the same matching rule, but that rule had been removed.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Syncing data from our data warehouse into existing tools. In particular, we use Census to populate fields in Mixpanel and Hubspot, which means that we can utilise a lot of the existing reporting tools in those two apps without having to create our own reports all the time.

Great simple solution making it easy to self-service.

Haven't had much to dislike so far, good enough for our use cases.

Easy and secure way to self-serve data sync without the need to involve an engineering team with various tools and platforms.
A good product that does what it says it will
What do you like best about the product?
Census is robust, relatively easy to use/maintain, and solves an important problem for us that would otherwise be very difficult to solve.
What do you dislike about the product?
The two least user friendly aspects in my experience have been diagnosing errors and creating new upsert syncs. Diagnosing errors has been made significantly easier recently however with their API Inspector.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We take data from our CRM, combine it with other sources, and then Census lets us put the resulting data points back into the CRM. This means our customer-facing staff can draw insights and create reports from data points that would not otherwise exist, and this is very helpful.
