No-code, low fuss Extract Tool
What do you like best about the product?
- It is very easy to get started and ingest data. There is no infrastructure or code to manage
- There is a huge catalogue of connectors available which covers the requirements of most of the enterprise customers
- Fully managed service - that means you can set it and forget it without much maintainence

What do you dislike about the product?
- The pricing model is not very good. Pricing based on the monthly active rows is confusing and difficult to forecast the pricing
- Enterprise customers with a large amount of data might not find the pricing model very attractive.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Fivetran replaces inhouse data extraction python scripts and provides enterprise grade data, managed connectors that can pull data from a variety of sources.
- WIth this data engineers can focus more on delivering insights and data to business than spending hours writing customer extraction scripts and maintaining infra needed to run them

Seamless and effortless
What do you like best about the product?
Census saved us weeks of engineering effort and enabled our data engineer to build complicated cross-tool migrations effortlessly. I can't think of a tool that is more aptly focused on "don't waste time reinventing the wheel." Thousands of data engineers before you, have written an Airflow pipeline to shove data into HubSpot from your data warehouse. It's a solved problem. Don't waste your investor capital solving that problem again. Use Census.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at all. Census was perfect end to end. I only wish it had more connectors!

What do you like best about the product?
Fivetran makes data engineering processes easier by replicating and automating our data warehouse complete with historical data. Using Fivetran's tables accelerates our time to publish data visualizations and help our chief-level staff perform using data-driven decisions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some services Fivetran offers - particularly with historical data and data warehouse tables - can be costly to automate and track. In some cases, there are accessible alternatives to track only a subset of this data for barely a fraction of the price.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we used Fivetran, it helped our organization track events and event history across our platform in a way that is enabling us to efficiently organize and visualize data even with a limited amount of team members. With Fivetran's data replication and automated table production, data analysts can pick and choose which fields they need for stakeholder data visualizations without having to wait for the data to be prepped, cleaned, and organized by a data engineer. This massively increases our time to publish Tableau dashboards and quickly have access to data and data history that we may not have been able to utilize previously.

Straight forward product. Good at what it does and performs consistently. Continuing to innovate, keeping Census in the stack considerations as we grow.

Historically challenging to get a strong sense of the roadmap to plan against.

We leverage Census for batch audience exports to 3p tools - allowing us to segment data in our DWH and safely share defined 1p audiences with our marketing platforms.

Easy to use interface, great selection of connections for most common platforms, databases and tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some writeback capabilities (like resetting destination tables) could be improved, pricing after year 1/promotional period could be better

It's easy to use and is user friendly. Our data team has been able to leverage Census with our data warehouse and empower other teams to enrich their data.

I would like an in-product user-guided tour at the first login.

Allows teams outside the data and analytics team to enrich their data sources with transformed data the data team has out together.

NA, as we have not encountered anything as such.

What do you like best about the product?
The UI is clear and user-friendly; integrations for source and destination are straightforward; and syncs are very flexible!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there is an easier way to track the destination-fields being used actively, to monitor and optimize capacity.

Having used Census to unify and manage our customer data, we have been impressed with the platform's capabilities and ease of use. The ability to create user segments and send them to email marketing platforms and ad networks has been a game-changer for our marketing campaigns, allowing us to create more targeted and personalized content for our audience. Additionally, sending lifetime value data to ad networks has helped us optimize our advertising campaigns and drive better ROI. All of this with ability to take data from centrally defined user dimension and fact tables in our data warehouse.

What do you dislike about the product?
In some cases you can feel that Census is fairly young company that still experiences bugs or are missing key components in their syncs (i.e. batching the syncs, if the API endpoint is rate limited). Though in all cases they were able to fix those issues within 2-3 weeks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Marketing audiences syncing to ad networks (google, meta, tiktok). Marketing audience syncing to email marketing platform. Conversion tracking (sending LTV) to Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, etc. Sending product usage data for enterprise customer success platform to better inform customer success teams.
