Good product when it works
What do you like best about the product?
Connectors are great for speeding up and keeping our schemas up to date.
What do you dislike about the product?
The connectors often break or are missing information. They often do respond quickly enough unless I, a C-level exec, ask why they aren't fixing it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easily ingesting our 3rd party and 1st party data

What do you like best about the product?
Fivetran connects to a variety of sources that are used throughout multiple industries. Usage of these connectors is as simple as being provided the correct credentials to the application and select what data you'd like to sync.
What do you dislike about the product?
Support could be better - it's really hit or miss on which support agent you get if a connection isn't working as expected. For example, I was having problems connecting to a connector and needed to go to the vendors (connectors) support to get a better work around; this kept my case open with Fivetran and still awaiting help further downstream from Fivetran Support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting data into the environment quickly and in a repeatable fashion for further transformation, analysis and ultimate consumption by end users.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that you can use SQL or native connectors to seamlessly connect all the information we need to any system.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is sometimes buggy and you have to refresh/exit the page sometimes to get all the available fields to show for mapping.

Capture behavior data from our data warehouse and send it to other systems.

What do you like best about the product?
With Census, we're able to get critical product insights into GTM & marketing tools like Salesforce, Endgame, Customer.io and more.
Given our GTM is highly dependent on upgrading existing users, we'd be at the mercy of long engineering cycles if our team didn't have access to Census

What do you dislike about the product?
Our pricing plan requires us to think carefully about whether to hook up a new sales or marketing tool to Census. I understand Census needs a scalable business model, but this creates unnessary internal hurdles to active our product data in new tools where the use-case and business care aren't yet fully built out
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Census is piping product usgae data into downstream tools that our sales and marketing team rely on (Salesforce, Customer.io, Endgame, etc.). Our business model requires that we have/use these insights.
Solid reverse ETL tool for managing simple data warehouse exports
What do you like best about the product?
I liked the fact that our analytics team was able to perform a lot of self service exports, reducing our workloads.
What do you dislike about the product?
I disliked the lack of maturity in the git/dbt integration if we didn't use the specific vendors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Census solves the problem of managing simple data exports produced by our analytics team.

What do you like best about the product?
The integration between my POS data and anything else I might want to do with it is seamless

Pricing is a little higher than I wouldve hoped but ultimately, worth it

Projecting how many donuts to make each day using historical data extracted through Fivetran

What do you like best about the product?
Census in my mind, is one of the most impactful buys our company has ever made. The cost vs the engineering effort to build a similar solution is night and day. The quality of the census product is second to none, and Sean and the team have their sights on defining this category.
What do you dislike about the product?
Canva started using an early version of Census with some bugs in it. However, the Census team quickly fixed any problem with the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Census to sync audiences across several platforms. Census provides a simple, fast and reliable method of synchronising data between out systems and external vendors. We have also started using the audience building tool that has a lot of promise.
Easy reverse ETL
What do you like best about the product?
Census is so easy to use. It is fast to build pipelines and very easy to monitor. Support is very responsive and helpful. They release a lot of new features every few months!
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can be slightly strange, and sometimes pipelines setup can be repetitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving time and cost. I can build a pipeline in 20 minutes without bothering other technical teams.

Great Reverse ETL Tool for Efficiently Integrating Your Data
What do you like best about the product?
Reverse ETLs are relatively new for me, I hadn’t heard of these systems till I came to loom but it’s been a game changer for data. At LinkedIn for example, we needed data eng to build custom integrations with each of our platforms.
Now, a significantly smaller team can accomplish the same, with more accuracy, in a fraction of the time.

What do you dislike about the product?
The list of available census partners can be limited, and we've had a couple instances where our census syncs have failed. Fortunately, the census customer success team was very responsive and helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to have to build customer integrations using platform APIs. The process was time consuming, and each time we wanted to add a field, multiple things had to be updated. Now we just manage all of our census models via DBT, and sharing data with platforms is as simple as matching fields in the platform.
