A great tool to manage your reverse ETL
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is very clean and easy to use. The latest changes on the interface make it even better to navigate through all your syncs and to validate which tables/sources are been used to sync data into your targets.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of information regarding the schedule of each sync. Once a sync is created it will only tell you the name of the source table used and the target and also when was the last time it was updated but it does not tell you at what time it is scheduled to run. This is difficult when you try to manage multiple syncs that affect one specific target (for example, a contact in SalesForce) because you need to go and check the details to know that info.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Now we can provide better analytics to our SalesForce users by syncing curated tables from our data warehouse with the right information that they need into SalesForce. This has given us the ability to use our resources more efficiently and to empower our sales representatives.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sometimes the support team will take a little bit of time to get through certain issues. They will always have an answer or solution but it may not be promptly.
will recommend, this tool makes my life easier and saves me the trouble for reverse syncing
What do you like best about the product?
support for many systems (SFDC, NS, Marketo)
easy of use (Upsert, replication config)
UI

What do you dislike about the product?
no easy way to separate between dev/state/prod syncs
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
replicate aggregate data from the data warehouse to SFDC, Marketo, NS
Use the datawarehouse to do resource-consuming aggregation that we can't do on SFDC and then sync it

Easy to use, quick GTM
What do you like best about the product?
Allow us to deploy our data pipeline easy and fast, without the need to have data specialist
What do you dislike about the product?
Could be expensive and not be affordable to every company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's easy to implement an ETL or ELT with Fivetran, without a data specialist role
Engineering your data integrations and analysis
What do you like best about the product?
It almost functions as a workload automation with moving data from Snowflake to Segment or Airtable with a lot of SQL commands designed to make the engineering aspect work. I also like the wealth of integrations available and documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think more work around ETL and documentation thereof would be good. There is some but more so it was around reverse ETL and emphasis is on SQL instead of the data pipelines and metadata management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I focus on customer analytics and market mix modeling on identifying top most customers, their respective actions and lead scoring. This is what I was able to do with writing queries with Census to help to curate data.
Fivetran Helps to reduce the engineering effort for Data Integration
What do you like best about the product?
Easy flexible integration helps to reduce the effort of data integration and to focus on actual business problem.
What do you dislike about the product?
The MAR based method is not clear, in some cases, the billing is not predictable and not understanding
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data integration to the warehouse. Reduce engineering effort and time to action
Easy to implement, CSM and SA have been very helpful
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use with connectors they have available
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up non-native connectors through a cloud provider (GCP) require a lot of work
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connect to the majority of our tools, Ability to schedule fast incremental data updates, Ability to track history on important Salesforce fields
Recommendations to others considering the product:
They have many connectors that are easy to use. Setting up non-native connectors requires a good amount of engineering work for your team, so be sure that you are ok with this.
Fivetran is super easy to work with
What do you like best about the product?
How quick I can get a feed from my data sources to my data warehouse. It has great insights and notifications if there are any troubles, but honestly we set it and forget it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The logging for connectors is a little hard to decipher but all in all it has the information needed to know whats going on. If they made it a little more user friendly to understand it would be helpful. The other thing that I wished was they were quicker at getting to connector requests. I have a couple I have been waiting for that I would love to see added.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving getting our data source data to our data warehouse in near realtime with minimal effort. This allows us to focus time on true engineered solutions without getting bogged down in how I get data from point a to point b
Great platform. Easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?
The five transplatform allows you to have end to end pipelines built from start to finish in minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing model is more complicated than any other platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fivetran allows us to lemonade a huge number of swivel chair data management tasks. It has also made the creation of a data warehouse incredibly simple.
Connecting the unconnectable
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and the clear instructions that are provided by FiveTran. I have never used anything like this before and I thought it was going to challenge me. It didn't I did hit some hurdles along the way but these were easily resolvable.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first, because I hadn't used anything similar before to FiveTran, it didn't feel intuitive to use, however once I understood the processes and requirements I soon worked it all out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we are connecting the data we store in our ad server to Power BI. This allows us to visualise our data in a way that we have never seen before. This allows us to bring down our reporting times
Easy to use and very reliable ELT tool with great set of connectors offering granular data
What do you like best about the product?
The simple interface makes use of the tool extremely simple for the less technical analysts / non-Data Engineers. Only basic SQL code is required to perform comprehensive ELT processes.
The vast number of connectors makes accessing all data from across the business incredibly simple and quick.
The recent addition of dbt makes the set up and management of the transformation layer much easier and the off-the-shelf dbt models that Fivetran offer are a great starting point.

The recent addition of dbt makes the set up and management of the transformation layer much easier and the off-the-shelf dbt models that Fivetran offer are a great starting point.
What do you dislike about the product?
In order to perform ELT fully, knowledge of dbt would be required to implement the downstream dependencies. Without this, it makes changing the ELT process more manual and error-prone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collating all data from across the business into one data warehouse without the need for expensive Data Engineers. This has allowed me to maintain a small, nimble data team that provides maximum value to the business by joining up siloed data to uncover hidden insights that would otherwise have gone unnoticed if still working with disparate data sets.
