Reliable Data Integration with Fivetran
What do you like best about the product?
Our team saved a lot of time using Fivetran. We were able accelerate adoption because of its user-friendly interface and step by step guidelines to set up connectors. We were able to connect 30+ data sources and not have to worry about schema drifts and other data engineering tasks. Also, we used Fivetran’s sdk to build custom connectors for complex integration. Customer support helped us a lot when we encountered issues. They would reply within 12 hours and offer detail feedback which helped us resolve issues quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main concern we have with Fivetran is the pricing model. It can increase rapidly as they volume of the data increases and also the compute costs will increase when the sync frequency increases. Fivetran gives a 2-week free trial to estimate costs before you turn on the connector, but it is hard to get an additional budget mid fiscal year. Also, you will need to use Fivetran with another tool like dbt to handle complex transformations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fivetran solved the challenge of replicating data from various sources to our Snowflake Data Warehouse. Before using Fivetran my team would have to spend a lot of time maintaining custom data ingestions or using other ETL tools that were not optimized for data ingestion.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fivetran is solving us the problem of having to manage a Data Engineer and solves us the need to manage separate self hosted pipeline to extract data from multiple sources.

A bit pricey. I would like an option with few sources at a lower cost

Data sync across systems and flexibility on what to sync and when to sync
Focus on your data, not how to move it
What do you like best about the product?
Fivetran has provided us with a no code solution to extracting data into our databases and data warehouses, and has hugely simplified our data architecture and improved security. We have been able to easily integrate new systems using their out of the box connectors, allowing us to focus on the data transformation process instead of building out and monitoring the data pipelines, and it has become an integral part of our day to day operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Doesn't support all of our systems yet, although the Fivetran team have done excellent work on narrowing this list over the years.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting data from our systems into our data warehouse, without having to worry about building out and maintaining the pipeline.
Nice and easy reverse ETL
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use is it's plus point for me. No technical skills are required for using it as reverse ETL tool. Customer support is good.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not a very complex tool with tons of features. But It does what it supposed to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it as reverse ETL solution provider. It reads data from our database and load it to different apps like Salesforce, Pendo etc. It reduced our overall timeline for any data feed to apps.
Excellent, easy to use, business critical tool
What do you like best about the product?
Super user-friendly, shows error messages, great customer service. We have set up daily jobs and connected to Looker, SQL, Salesforce.
What do you dislike about the product?
AI capabilities would be great to troubleshoot jobs but otherwise none really

Census is a great product for bridging the gap between your product data and CRM

Easy to use and easy to set up. Census helped us integrate our product data into our CRM so we can drive better actions across the board.

Nothing. The team has been nothing but great to ours and helping us get set up and running on Census

Census is an absolute game changer
What do you like best about the product?
Census offers a highly efficient, low-maintenance platform for loading business-critical data into third-party systems. Previously, we relied on custom integrations that demanded significant maintenance and ongoing management to ensure performance and efficiency. With the Census platform, this burden is completely eliminated, allowing us to concentrate on the data itself rather than the upkeep of data pipelines and complex integrations. Impressively, our first data sync took only minutes to implement, a process that would typically require hours or even days with the assistance of a data engineer. Additionally, their support team is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, ensuring any issues or questions are promptly and effectively addressed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have yet found any issues working with the Census platform or their team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The primary focus of out integration is with Salesforce. We load and process a ton of data from Salefsorce and other sources into our BI/DW for processing. Census then allows us to easily load that processed data back into Salesforce for our users to consume and use for critical business decisions.
