Simple & Straight Forward
What do you like best about the product?
A direct and straightforward user interface to quickly jump in set up your connections. The drag and drop functionality makes it rather accessible across the board.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't jumped into the deep end yet, but I see that some logging features seem to be lacking. There were issues with Google sheets, but that may be user error, but I'm still investigating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bringing in various data sources into one singular source.

What do you like best about the product?
Fivetran provides an extremely simple way to move data from our vendors into a consolidated Biqquery instance. Almost always operates in a "set it and forget it" fashion
What do you dislike about the product?
Connectors are limited to major vendors.
Connectors sometimes make needless API calls. For example: with Marketo we want to sync 90% of the data regularly but a few tables more sporadically due to the amount of data they hold. To accomplish this, we can have two separate connectors for Marketo with different sync frequencies. The problem is that both of these connectors make redundant bulk API calls that bump us closer to our daily call limit.

Consolidating major vendor data (Linkedin, Facebook, Salesforce, Marketo, etc.) into a central data repository (Bigquery)

The ease of getting a third party connector setup
What do you dislike about the product?
For some connectors we have had issues. They are usually the newer connectors and are fixed within a few months.

ETL'ing data from non database formats and third party software to our datawarehouse

It's swift to sync data from different sources.
What do you dislike about the product?
It sometimes takes a lot of time to connect with the support team in case of urgent issues.

I am solving the issue of creating and managing ETL's

What do you like best about the product?
Easily hook up Redshift with Marketo, Braze, Salesforce and a number of other critical data sources. Their support engineers are really helpful and fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
They're a relatively newer company and sometimes don't have all the integrations you want (Braze took some time to get set up but is up and running now).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We got it to stitch a bunch of data sources together which allows us to answer critical business questions.
Fivetran is a good solution for data ingestion
What do you like best about the product?
FiveTran has a good number of pre-created data connectors to data sources that we use.
What do you dislike about the product?
It isn't the most affordable third party platform for this type of work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to connect to our partner data sources to extract data from their system and get it over to our data warehouse in Snowflake.
Super User Friendly ETL
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use of the interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had some data integrity issues for NetSuite last year which made it really tough to trust the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FiveTran allows us to easily connect all facets of our CRM, lead gen and order data to enable tracking of our customer journey

What do you like best about the product?
I love the way easy to integrate new data pipelines
What do you dislike about the product?
I had very serious data issues with integrating the email pipeline and there is certainly some room to improve the data quality
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Fivetran to connect and integrate our social platform's data, some of the connectors are available out of the box and we had to own cloud functions to integrate some of the data pipelines.

It is straightforward to set up with most pipes into an existing warehouse

It has a somewhat confusing pricing structure, and some updates are slow
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Fivetran for piping data from data sources where keeping up with changing API endpoints is just more work than we want to do as this is not our primary business.
Fivetran: Simple and swift
What do you like best about the product?
Fivetran configuration to ingest data from a different data source is very simple. We have connectors available for multiple data sources.

We don't have connectors to different API applications. We will not be able to configure the table names to start with "underscore". Adding more connectored to new application will improve the reach of fivetran.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are ingesting data from different applications into our data lake using FIVETRAN. It helps to reduce the time of implementation.
Increased overall team productivity. Connectors are available to export data from most of the applications that we use in our IT, finance, marketing and sales.
