What do you like best about the product?
I love the way easy to integrate new data pipelines
What do you dislike about the product?
I had very serious data issues with integrating the email pipeline and there is certainly some room to improve the data quality
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Fivetran to connect and integrate our social platform's data, some of the connectors are available out of the box and we had to own cloud functions to integrate some of the data pipelines.

What do you like best about the product?
It is straightforward to set up with most pipes into an existing warehouse
What do you dislike about the product?
It has a somewhat confusing pricing structure, and some updates are slow
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Fivetran for piping data from data sources where keeping up with changing API endpoints is just more work than we want to do as this is not our primary business.
Fivetran: Simple and swift
What do you like best about the product?
Fivetran configuration to ingest data from a different data source is very simple. We have connectors available for multiple data sources.

What do you dislike about the product?
We don't have connectors to different API applications. We will not be able to configure the table names to start with "underscore". Adding more connectored to new application will improve the reach of fivetran.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are ingesting data from different applications into our data lake using FIVETRAN. It helps to reduce the time of implementation.

Software which can be used as a good connector.
What do you like best about the product?
The best part is that it has a very user friendly User Interface and also shows logs in case you have a connector. The connectors used are also easy to manage with Frivetran UI.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't have a lot of connectors build right out. We have to manually build connector using AWS lambda and then integrate with Fivetran. For some the above can be a pro but for us it is a con.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connecting two services like Snowflake and Gainsight or connecting Snowflake with OpenAir. The benefit Fivetran provides is that it gives a middleware between these systems and allow data transfer.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want software for data transfer or data replication between two systems/services, you can go by Fivetran.

Easy drag and drop functionality works great! also gives us the power to automate data integration and manage the different sources we have

We still investigating the tool and all the features, i do not have a complaint yet

We can deploy connectors in minutes and also make our life easy with zero maintenance.

I truly recommend it. It would improve your everyday work.
Great tool to streamline your data process
What do you like best about the product?
Fivetran is great for streamlining the data process and bring data from various sources into a single place. As a data scientist, this saves me countless hours dealing with data pipelining / uploading / downloading. I can focus on the work itself instead of wasting time just to figure out how to get data into a place where I can run code.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it could be made even easier to connect various data sources; the fewer clicks the better. Especially around google sheets, I wish the process could be more streamlined and requires less URL copy pasting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bringing data from a variety of sources into the datalake. I work with Excel, google sheet, csv, and other types of data when working with cross-function teams, but data scientist often needs to put the data into some sort of database before meaningful work can be carried out. Fivetran saves me countless of hours with that.

Would be great to have some sort of version control

Fivetran is used to ingest external data that is manually entered in via gsheets. It is also used to ingest data from other sources like Salesforce
Required Software for Cutting Edge Data Teams
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to set up and how reliable it is. It rarely has downtime / syncing issues. If I do, I can submit a support ticket and will get a quick response.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish all the connectors I used internally were available in their connector marketplace.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I no longer have to think about how I am getting data into the warehouse. It has freed up engineering resources to do analysis instead of data capture.
Less maintenance, more time to work on other things.
What do you like best about the product?
Fivetran makes landing our third-party platform data much more manageable, giving us time back to work on more custom solutions for our data. What used to be work that only Data Engineering could manage can now be controlled by other less technical people.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some data sources don't have built-in connectors, so data engineering still needs additional work for those sources.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fivetran solves the problem of limited data engineering bandwidth. It opens up the ability to manage data sources to a whole new group of people outside of data engineering.
Easy user experience for PM's
What do you like best about the product?
As a data-driven PM I frequently find myself needing to create new tables with data. It's super simple to upload CSV's to fivetran, which create tables within snowlake I can query again. Major time saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
No complaints myself! I can't speak to the integration of fivetran itself but it seemed straightforward for the team that worked on that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fivetran enables me to engage with data from multiple sources without complex SQL to create new tables.
