Manage multiple systems integrated into our database with ease

We use fivetran to pull data from our core operations systems into a single database
Excellent for connecting to third party APIs but could have more information in the web interface
What do you like best about the product?
Fivetran is excellent for pulling data from troublesome APIs that are constantly changing into a staging database with minimal effort required. It allows us to bring in lots of data for our own customers without needing to build 100% custom connections for things that may only be used for a single client. The interface is extremely easy to use and very straight forward for most of the connectors. The trial period that they recently added to each of the connectors is also very nice, it essentially allows us to connect to a customers data and validate that the correct information is coming over before we have to pay for the rows being brought in.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the instructions for gaining access/authentication with the source data could be a little better. I dont really think this is fivetran's fault as much as the data source themselves in most cases. It would also be nice if it was possible to see the specific abilities of a connector before establishing a connection. i.e. can a specific connector only pull in CSVs or can it work will all sorts of datatypes etc. The other area that could be improved would be if the internal logging for the connectors was a little more expansive. In many cases if a connector errors or has a warning it does so silently and only provides basic information. There is the ability to connect Fivetran's logging to a database for advanced logging and more information but ideally this information should also be present in the web interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using fivetran to connect to less common customer datasources to bring their data into our own platform. This is extremely helpful becuase we do not need to use our own development resources to build out a connection to something we may only use for a single client. This allows us to spend more time focusing on improving our own product while still leveraging the additional connections present by Fivetran. One of the biggest benefits we have seen from Fivetran is that ability to trial and validate connections before the data is brought over.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would reccomend Fivetran for any company looking to pull in data from a large and diverse amount of connections. The ability to validate the connections in a free trial period is something very unique to them and is an invaluable feature especially when attempting to bring in a dataset that you don't yet have experience with.

What do you like best about the product?
Makes syncing all my data seamless. I like the interface as well as its easy to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the standard practice of both created and updates columns. Also an option for slowly changing dimension to have a log oh history states of data. FT does get pricey though do when I can get the job done with stitch I would rather use them to save money.

Syncing data from all sources is a huge lift without fivetran.
Easy Data Integration
What do you like best about the product?
Fivetran makes data integration quick and easy. Painless syncing of an external data source into your database.
What do you dislike about the product?
Rare data outages. The page to refresh data often fails to update to let you know the update is complete, but that can be worked around with a page refresh.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data integrations. We've saved engineering time that we're now able to use for new features instead.
Fivetran for marketing
What do you like best about the product?
UI is simple. Very easy to setup connectors. Documentation links you to the exact steps needed to setup connectors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer service and time to address issues can be slow. We are finding a lot of vendors/systems that they dont have connectors for. ETA on new connectors is not transparent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Really easy to setup integrations. Low maintenance. Reliable when it is setup.
Great Product

Its easy to use and easily detects new field additions

Sometimes the data loads fails for few of the tables.

We are doing data loads in Fivetran and today all our salesforce data is pushed in the warehouse by Fivetran
Nice, intuitive ETL with good features
What do you like best about the product?
Fivetran is intuitive and comes across very naturally to users, both technical and non-technical. Compared to other similar GUI-based ETL tools, the various views it provides for a user to see what work they've done is more transparent (i.e., I can click on a page and know precisely what I'm looking at). The pipeline is fully managed, and setting up your connections is straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost is a little high if you only have a few connectors- I wouldn't necessarily use Fivetran for a lightweight proof of concept. Also, as with any ETL tool, sometimes it's hard to get the exact transformation that you want.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was simple to create an ETL pipeline for data from Salesforce into GCP.
Well documented, easy to follow and all in one platform
What do you like best about the product?
The well structured documentation makes FiveTran an easy to follow software. Also the dashboard helps to view and analyse the insights of the usage metrics. 14 days trial period is well enough to understand FiveTran APIs.
What do you dislike about the product?
FiveTran doesn't provide a call back hook on completion of their bigquery dataset sync. Also their are no existing client libraries for easily implementing FiveTran REST APIs in applications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been developing a python client library for FiveTran REST APIs. That will help developers to easily integrate FiveTran to their applications.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Because of its easiness to integrate in any application, well structured documentation, good customer support, I am sure that it will worth every penny. So I am pretty much confident to suggest to others

1)Fivetran Support is something that makes Fivetran unique .Thumbs up to their knowledgable Support team.
2) Any connector you name it today,Fivetran has capability.
3)Their CDC is amazing and need not require any monitoring,you configure and literally forget.
4)Their new operating model on pay as you use is also working great.

What do you dislike about the product?
Logs have come a long way as well But still while it comes to driling down to data level a particular object its challenging.
Can have a room to improve in that but again support is doing that job but would like the developers to do that
