Really easy to use and fantastic customer support
What do you like best about the product?
Customer support and ease to set up connectors.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing can change and cause significant increases. I.e. DBT transformations which were suddenly charged.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy data engineering pipeline for some of our key databases.

The ease of use. Their supported connectors are a cinch to set up and it's nearly effortless to maintain

Some services we use don't have supported connectors. I hope they continuously look at those using their custom SDK and consider creating official connectors for these use cases.

Setting up syncs between our disparate data sources and our data lakehouse.
Amazing product that makes data syncing effortless
What do you like best about the product?
Fivetran excels at doing one thing incredibly well: reliably syncing data from multiple SaaS tools into a central data warehouse like BigQuery. The setup is remarkably fast—most connectors are essentially plug-and-play, with minimal configuration. I especially appreciate the wide connector library, automatic schema management, and robust alerting system. For a small team without a full-time data engineer, it’s a game-changer. It eliminates a ton of manual work and lets us focus on deriving insights rather than wrangling APIs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing can be a barrier for early-stage startups or companies with unpredictable data volumes. Since Fivetran charges based on monthly active rows (MAR), costs can spike unexpectedly as your data grows—even if you’re not increasing the number of sources. Additionally, some niche connectors are still in beta or lack full functionality, and the granularity of scheduling could be more flexible (e.g., custom cron instead of fixed intervals).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fivetran helps us eliminate the manual, error-prone process of building and maintaining custom data pipelines. As a consultancy supporting startups and SMEs, we often deal with a wide variety of SaaS tools—HubSpot, Google Ads, Stripe, Facebook Ads, and more. Fivetran makes it easy to centralise this fragmented data into BigQuery with minimal effort, enabling us to deliver faster, more reliable insights for our clients. It also removes the need for ongoing connector maintenance, which is a massive time-saver for lean teams. The automatic schema updates and built-in monitoring reduce data downtime and ensure our dashboards and reports stay up-to-date.
Saving time/money/effort rather than custom data engineers and pipelines

The trial component and working out how to scale, start moving some sources over and growing.

What do you dislike about the product?
Can't think of any, except that it is perhaps more pricey than other tools, but it is way more mature and easier to use, so can't fault it there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We do not have a data engineering team, and recently started our data journey, was blown away how quick and easy to get data into desired target (GCP in our case)
Oracle Fusion Integration with Fivetran
What do you like best about the product?
The upsides of Fivetran are that they have the provision to build pipelines for data extraction from heterogenous systems that is seamless and user friendly. Fivetran consulting takes care of the integration and maintenance which removes the hassle of onsite maintenance. They have a good customer support team that can answer questions in a timely manner. We have daily loads so the frequency is pretty high.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dependency on fivetran is one of the key downsides as we have to think twice before we make any big integrations that we want to sync up. This is because it is a bit expensive for a mid scale companies like ours and to get locked up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us in keeping the downstream systems synced up the Oracle fusion data
The best tool to use with excel

to use GA4 queries with excel. it was easy to use custom made reports to be copied to excel dashbioard.

actually there is nothing i have point out as a dislike.

Fivetran is a great tool, has a great interface and works perfectly. Pricing is too high

Integrate marketing data from sources to BigQuery most of the time

Not enough connectors and the fields available as the unique key is limited. Sometimes, the system has a few keys that are unique, we should be able to choose one of them.

Remove the need to have a data platform team to set up infra for pipeline
Great tool for consolidating data sources and enabling 3rd party platforms!

Ability to pull data from 3rd party tools and consolidate in CRM and other platforms.

Need a fair amount of technical knowledge or SQL to run more complex queries.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Census to identify offline conversion data from our paid search ads and then push the data back into Google Ads for optimal retargeting.
