Great support
What do you like best about the product?
They met with my team many times until we could install all our databases. Super helpful all the team of Fivetran. Now our pipeline is working perfectly without any maintenance.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost of the rows is from zero every month. So you should have in mind that every month the cost is for all the historic data too. Also, they gave us an estimate that didn´t match for the real cost (an estimate of $35 and it cost $80 monthly)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having all our databases in the same place to extract them and take them to my warehouse where I can do queries to access data. It's useful and easy to maintain.

Redefining Data Synchronization
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Census is that it helps in managing data on the client side and using the same data for synchronizing across different platforms using integrations. The best thing is that data is being managed on a single side.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes is it not easy to use as it involves setting up integration and establishing database connections. It can be enhanced by working on a better API integration setup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The major problem is often with managing the database and synchronizing it across other platforms. It not only enables data synchronization but also ensures data security. Moreover, data sync scheduling is also the best feature that actually helps in setting up campaigns on Facebook and Linkedin.

What do you like best about the product?
A tiny bit of SQL (or help from an analyst) is all you need to create dynamic ad audiences. I couldn't believe how easy this was to set up and start serving ads to our target accounts on LinkedIn and create dynamic exclusion lists on Google! There's almost NO maintenance with these audiences, so we're easily able to test more and more granular subsets of our target account list. I can't wait to use it to enrich our targeting with first party data and not worry about static uploads for offline conversion tracking!!

What do you dislike about the product?
You can't filter or search for models by name, so if there's a lot of activity on the account, sometimes models that I need to sync from get a little lost. It would be cool to have folders or groups. It does segment your syncs by destination, however that's still tough to sort through if you have a lot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The upkeep of static audience lists is essentially gone. It's so simple to exclude our employees and paid users from our ads without having to upload new lists weekly. It's giving us the option to get really granular with our targeting, especially when combined with Mixpanel cohorts. I can find a subset of users that haven't reached the aha moment and create a cohort, define that segment in Census, and sync it to our ad accounts in minutes, serving them helpful articles to nurture them towards success in our product.

What do you like best about the product?
Census makes it simple to get data from one source to another for us. That is why we have recommended it to other teams outside of our organization, it is a wonderful UI that is easy to use and interact with.
What do you dislike about the product?
There have been a few kinks, but I do believe census has solutions for some of this already that we just need to integrate. One thing we realized is that anyone with access to Census can come in and change a data model with no record of what the model was before the change though it is nice to see who changed it. I think the GitHub integration would help with this issue, though. The other thing is the scheduler for data syncs ... it would be nice to have a way to view the schedules for all data syncs together rather than having to click into each model. This has become an issue with our primary data destination being Marketo.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Census is solving the problem of moving our data out of our warehouse and into various tools to help us run various campaigns as well as power our email marketing data metrics.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use. Easy to set up a sync between systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
Error logs are not great. Hard to find the issues exactly happened. it will be useful if the census provides good documentation or knowledge article. Simple changes in the settings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pull data from the database and update data between systems. Easy to access the data. We can schedule these sync. it is very productive. yes, performance increased.
Census helps us achieve operational excellence
What do you like best about the product?
Census has enabled us to push the most relevant data to where our sales, support, and success teams need it most, the tools they work in on a daily basis. They don't have the leave the CRM or Zendesk to do lookups in our data warehouse. Solving this "pivot" problem saves the hours switching contexts and writing queries.
What do you dislike about the product?
Any time you're pushing data back to operational systems there are risks because you're playing with production. We needed to establish some organizational discipline to test on sandboxes and single row updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Census removed the need for people to switch contexts to check data in other systems. It saved us seats in platforms where people just needed access to data, and reduced the load of ad-hoc lookups on our data warehouse
Simplify your reverse etl process!
What do you like best about the product?
Census makes sending data to third-party companies a breeze! It just WORKS, I rarely have to pay attention to my data feeds. When something fails, I'm immediately alerted, and Census' support team is fantastic at responding to my questions - often even finding issues with failed feeds and fixing them before I realize they're broken!
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I truly dislike about Census. However, I would like to see more destinations. So really my only dislike is I want Census to do more for me!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Census takes away the need for me to write complex feeds to our third-party vendors and set schedules for data to send to them. I am able to just feed a query to census and click run, set a schedule, and let it do it's thing!
Easy to use and scalable
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and simple to integrate ETL to data warehouses for those who have no technical knowledge or engineers, for example in Redshift and S3. It is scalable and easy to integrate with Salesforce
What do you dislike about the product?
I have noticed that the census requires to be the owner of the schema in Redshift which means has full permission on that. However, it sometimes clashes with certain policies in place in the company
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integrating 3rd party source data into the data lake and redshift with less coding which is good for someone who knows the source data but less or zero experience in coding
Great tool for connecting warehouse to other tools
What do you like best about the product?
Really easy setup Census and they have great customer support. Whenever I've had a problem, they have managed to resolve my problem promptly and efficiently. I'd recommend Census to a friend.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their new jump in pricing was a surprise to us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Moving data from our Snowflake warehouse to our other tools such as Hubspot. This helps create a singular source of truth across all of our business units. The logs and alerting are also really helpful
