The Easiest ETL pipeline
What do you like best about the product?
Fivetran literally makes creating pipelines as easy as clicking a few buttons. It lets me and my team focus on creating high value analytics rather than config files.

ETL pipelines are hard to create and maintain, fivetran makes it really simple.
An indispensable tool for BizOps and Go-to-market teams
What do you like best about the product?
Census puts BizOps and GTM teams in the driver's seat when it comes to syncing data across different systems. Prior to Census, we were dependent upon Data/Engineering to send product data like user engagement and paywall status to our CRMs, and it could take days to weeks based on the capacity of those teams. Now, we can sync that data in mere minutes without any code required. It's a game-changer! Our GTM teams have become so much more data-driven as a result.
What I like best about Census is the responsive and helpful customer support team. During our time working with Census, we've pinged them for everything from fixing broken syncs to configuring new models. They are extremely knowledgeable about the tool and are even willing to go deep into our data with us to problem-solve analytical problems.

What do you dislike about the product?
Historically, the thing that has bothered me most about Census was the lack of robust audit logs / data transparency. Sometimes we would set up a sync and certain records would fail, but we wouldn't fully understand why and the error codes were not incredibly enlightening. It was also impossible to get a full view (every row) of the model that you created, so you had to have a certain amount of trust that the model was configured correctly based on just the first 25 rows in the preview. However, Census has addressed this in their latest Observability features and we are excited to have more transparency into our data, what is being synced and where, and why it sometimes fails.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Census is helping us with a few problems:
- Quickly and easily sending data from our product/customer databases into end-user tools like CRM
- Sending alerts into Slack when certain events happen
This is benefiting us by making us a more responsive and data-driven organization

Reverse ETL tool that shows real debugging information
What do you like best about the product?
The tool is easy to use. and helps me a lot when I'm looking for ETL mistakes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can figure out how I can deploy using tools like Terraform or Ansible. All the ETL' were uploaded via the web interface

Import data into the data warehouse with confidence. And also help me to debug the data and get alerts when the jobs are not running

Creating multiple data pipelines from multiple data sources with changing schemas to the central data warehouse.
Easiest, most reliable way to get your data into Snowflake
What do you like best about the product?
Having connectors for many of the common data sources is terrific, but having a team constantly working to offer even more connectors and improving the existing ones is absolutely amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since I've started using Fivetran the thing that stands out to me the most is their continual improvement. I hated the initial pricing, they changed it. I had trouble with the UI, they changed it. There was a lack of transformation ability, they added dbt. Things that I dislike are typically things that most users will also not like and having Fivetran constantly improving is great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Continual ingestion of data from a multitude of different sources has been my job for the last several years, and Fivetran has made that process point and click so I can just focus on the business rules instead of the plumbing.

Give it a shot - you won't be disappointed!
Best Cloud-to-Cloud Ingestion Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity and abstraction of ingestion. This tool does not show what is under the hood and it is not required for you to do so. This tool just does the task that you want it to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
This tool does not support On-Prem use cases where security is a concern. Eventually, this tool will also support on-prem sources as well which will make it the best tool for all sources and destinations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This directly supports the business to ensure data in the downstream dashboards is up-to-date. Benefits include no maintenance and human costs since all the development and maintenance of the code is maintained by Fivetran and Fivetran Support in conjunction with Fivetran Engineering ensures that all issues are resolved.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check with Fivetran if you are looking to eliminate your custom ingestion framework and maintenance, as well as the development of new ingestion sources and destinations. Complete a Fivetran POC and learn what this product supports and how it can help your business.
Great tool but at high price
What do you like best about the product?
Great tool that comes with a lot of connectors and a good customer support. We appreciate that a comprehensive API is avialble because we have a lot of connectors that need to be managed programmatically.

Quite expensive compared to compeititors.
