It's an easy to use solution for creating segments of customers

What do you like best about the product?
easy to use
connected to most ad platforms
automatic audience updates
What do you dislike about the product?
there were a few issues at first when trying to connect our audiences to DV360 directly
Sometimes its hard to locate the segment because there are so many, having a grouping or labels could help
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can constantly push new and refreshed audiences to our ad platforms directly with the tool. This is very useful, since cookies will soon disappear, we will be able to scale our ads with our 1st party data, and create lookalikes of it.

What do you like best about the product?
Census is clear, concise, and gives me great insight to the various data sources and flows. I also appreciate the weekly email updates on sync success and other alerts that help me intervene when necessary.
What do you dislike about the product?
The formatting of some of the notification emails can feel cluttered and old-fashioned.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Census helps us connect our data to various outputs so that other users at my organization (including me) can access data more easily and succinctly. It makes data available for all!

What do you like best about the product?
easy to use for data syncs from snowflake to google sheets. intuitive UI that's friendly for non-engineering configurations. overall pretty reliable and accurate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Downsides so far is that it does get hard to manage all the variety of syncs easily. When there's a large number of them, you have to remember the titles or spend a while digging around.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to get data from snowflake into google sheets and this is the easiest way to set up that data connection without having to engineer an entire infrastructure system.

An easy-to-set-up solution that can be used for bidirectional data synchronizations between systems

What is our primary use case?

We use Fivetran for bidirectional data synchronizations between systems.

How has it helped my organization?

I didn't set up any transformation in Fivetran. I wanted Fivetran to take care of the log sequence number comparison between source and destination systems so that it would pick up only the data that needed to be synchronized, and it did it beautifully.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature of Fivetran is that it only synchronizes what needs to be synchronized. You need to capture the in-source updates and digits from the source; this is the only information you want. You don't want to download the whole thing each time. Fivetran does this just beautifully.

What needs improvement?

Fivetran should add more connectors because its competitors, like Airbyte, have more connectors. All of these systems have a problem, namely that they are pure cloud player solutions. I often work in hybrid solutions where customers have on-prem things mixed with cloud things.

Pure cloud player solutions never provide a good solution for what is on-prem, which leads to a gap. When you look at systems such as ActiveBatch, they have a very, very strong on-prem platform. They are also looking at the web and cloud things, but they are not that good at the cloud things. So there is nothing that is equally good for both on-prem and cloud.

Fivetran should add a feature to connect to the SQL server on-prem.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Fivetran for a month.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Fivetran is a very stable solution. After you set it up, you can forget about it. I rate Fivetran a nine out of ten for stability.

What was our ROI?

Fivetran saved me a lot of work. I could have hired a bunch of engineers to write Python's code for me, but Fivetran was already built. So, it was easier for me to focus on my line of business and purchase a commercial product without trying to replicate this myself in Python. That's not a return on investment; that is savings.

What other advice do I have?

I am using the latest version of Fivetran.

Fivetran is easy to set up. It took me one or two hours to set up my flow, and then I forgot about it. So for me, it's perfect because it doesn't take a lot of time. It's not like some other solutions where you need two weeks of engineering to get them to work.

I would advise users to try Fivetran before they commit to it.

When I compare Fivetran with Airbyte, I like Airbyte better than Fivetran.

Overall, I rate Fivetran an eight out of ten.

Audience hub is very user friendly and it makes life easier without having to use SQL
What do you dislike about the product?
Census does not have the best UI. also it could do with making the data fields searchable via typing rather than only being able to scroll.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to push data from entities into braze via synchs.

What do you like best about the product?
- Census makes it easy to integrate with other third party applications without your dev team having to spend cycles figuring out the best way to integrate
- It also gives your end-users the ability to go in and create their own filters on your core datasets, instead of created customized syncs/jobs for each person
- Finally, I also like that it means we can just sync relevant data to 3rd party apps, versus updating all users every day.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Keeping the app up to date and fresh is great, but feels a little odd that every time I log in it looks different / things are renamed / moved around - would be nicer to package these bigger changes into one versus the constant changing (also makes it tough for people to onboard since documentation is always out of date)
- With all the changes, things have been a little unstable lately, which is not ideal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Great tool for pushing data into SFDC.

What do you like best about the product?
The UI is very intuitive and Census Support is very helpful and responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
It isn't a true ETL solution and I can't get too fancy with the update logic or push data from SFDC back to our DB.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to push data from our DB into SFDC

Reliable connectors, responsive and helpful support

What do you like best about the product?
Connectors are reliable, and faults are resolved quickly by the team, who are responsive and communicative on Slack. Also love the destination field/column-based pricing, which works better for us than a row-based one.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish that we could re-run multiple syncs at once (typically after fixing problems, or changing configurations)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teams need access to more information about customers and prospects within the tools they are using, e.g. CRM.
