Great tool for integrating data in Salesforce!
What do you like best about the product?
Easy point-and-click to get started. All you need to do is know your data warehouse table and where that data should be updated in your SaaS tool. For us, all we want to do is sync some important fields in Salesforce. It could not be easier with Census!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a little bit more of a low-code environment to do more customization with our syncs. For instance, I don't love that Census always needs to be pointed to a table. It would be nice to be able to maintain some custom SQL that Census runs to push results to our SaaS tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We would like to surface some important data calculated in our data warehouse in Salesforce. This tool allows us to easily accomplish this task. It saves us tons of engineering time to get important details and metrics in our SaaS tool where stakeholders can use it!
Great product for our data infrastructure
What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Cansus is that it provides an easy way for transfering data safely to our partners for advanced analytics. It's easy to use and meets our standards for privacy and security.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have much to say here since Census is one of those products where once it meets our needs, we can essentially forget about it. But one thing that I think can be improved is a better organisation of the connectors, e.g. folders and labels.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Census provides an easy and secure way to transfer our data to our vendors that's simple to set up and manage. We needed a method of doing this that adheres to our data infrastructure standards and Census meets this holistically. For example, it would be unacceptable for us to have a different method of data transfer for each use case.
Reverse ETL made easy
What do you like best about the product?
One of the standout features of Census is its seamless integration with popular data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, and Redshift, making it a breeze to connect and extract data. The platform offers an intuitive drag-and-drop interface for mapping data fields, enabling even non-technical users to set up data syncs effortlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The use case for Census is somewhat limited in the reverse ETL space and I often think it should be combined with other tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting data into our CRM and other platforms.
Lead Solutions Architect
What do you like best about the product?
Super easy with directly available integrations. Great to maintain and access logs.
Debugging is also made simple and ETL friendly. Would like more options as part of the integrations available.
Debugging is also made simple and ETL friendly. Would like more options as part of the integrations available.
What do you dislike about the product?
Less number of options that's a straightforward integration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Writing back our product's data onto the customer's tools and readily available integrations. Easy to navigate across UI and debug friendly.
Reverse ETL made easy
What do you like best about the product?
We use Censue for our reverse ETL process. We send data from our Data Warehouse to our CRM system. Setting up Census is pretty easy and hassle-free. It comes with an intuitive UI to navigate for our users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although having a plug n play tool like Census helps operationalize processes pretty quickly, one drawback is there is no visibility of what's going on behind the scenes. That makes us nervous about handing the process over to nontechnical people.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Census is primarily being used for reverse ETL purposes at our company. We have stored data and logic in our Data Warehouse which is then sent to our CRM system for sales reps.
Census Review
What do you like best about the product?
Good amount of connectors and overall design is pretty easy to use. Syncs/Models have a good breakdown and any changes in source/destination schemas are reflected in the sync for errors too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some errors are challenging to understand and track, most of them need a ticket to the census team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reverse ETL for me. Really helpful and unlocking a huge use-case for us.
Everything and Anything related to Data
What do you like best about the product?
The best part of the census is the capabilities that it offers and the broad support for data sources providing more flexibility in data operations and getting data managed with syncs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I disliked the price point its quiet expansive for a startup coming with bootstrap, also there were many instances where there were limitations in syncs and only one operation was done at a time which is not justified with the price point coming on and feels over-priced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data management and data syncs from different sources was not possible manually, census has helped us in solving that problem and allowed us to perform data operations and manage data from different sources at one place.
Neat tool for productivity
What do you like best about the product?
The space it fills in the data field. There are many systems today's businesses run on. Data is the fuel that empowers them all. Census enables users to get data in the right places.
What do you dislike about the product?
There could be more flexibility geared toward business users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pushing data into platforms our front-end teams use.
Fivetran review
What do you like best about the product?
Its use is easy to understand with a modern structure that has provided solutions for data movement for better analysis, its attention is as desired in times and responses.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a bit expensive due to its high price plans that not everyone can afford this amount of money.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Out-of-the-box data integration and data collection makes data analysis more detailed
Great reverse ETL tool
What do you like best about the product?
It is super easy to configure and maintain, most things are clicking through. SQL models and syncs are super intuitive. In our case, it is the best tool to quickly provide value to the business or POC some solutions, without huge development effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I can think of is not always the best notifications of syncs. Census is always providing very helpful notifications on sync failures, but more from the Census end. If an actual error happens on the destination system end it is not always considered a sync failure. For example Salesforce sync and if we have rows that are going to be rejected by Salesforce, via Census it is considered as correct - where from my perspective it should be something like a warning at least.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick POC development and quick integrations with systems that we don't have any other customer integrations internally. A quick way of providing value to the business.
