Endless Customization, Perfect for Creatives
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to personalize my own dashboard in Notion, which is something I couldn't do with other tools like ClickUp or Asana because they felt more rigid. With Notion, I have complete flexibility to customize my workspace, whether I want my calendar at the top or at the bottom, and I appreciate that freedom. I'm also really enjoying the AI feature. It's super convenient; I can effortlessly ask it to find a document or add an idea to my dashboard with minimal effort on my part. The ability to organize everything just the way I like is crucial for my workflow and that of my clients. It’s like building with little Legos, which I find immensely satisfying. Additionally, using Notion has been incredibly easy for me, partly because I am well-versed in utilizing all its settings. This smooth experience made me cancel my cloud subscription as Notion now encompasses all my needs under one platform. I also find it especially suitable for creative businesses like freelancers and agencies, making it highly recommendable to friends and colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the AI feature in Notion can be significantly improved. For example, it would be useful to create a button that triggers the AI to perform specific tasks in my databases automatically, which currently isn't possible. Additionally, the email feature of the new app could be enhanced by allowing me to manage all my email accounts in one place, similar to how I can on my Mac or Apple email. This enhancement would simplify categorization and streamline integration with my workflow. It would also be beneficial if Notion could better support working alongside a virtual assistant.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Notion solves organization problems, centralizing personal and business tasks, and ideas effortlessly. The personalization and AI features make managing content and tracking ideas seamless, reducing effort and ensuring nothing is forgotten.

I love Notion for its complete customizability while maintaining ease of use. This balance makes it simple for me to structure my data and information in whatever format suits my needs without feeling overwhelmed. There's enough guidance within the platform to ensure I don't get lost, which enhances my user experience greatly. The ability to integrate different types of data by linking projects, meeting notes, and stakeholder profiles allows me to manage my business operations and research activities seamlessly. It efficiently keeps all my information in one place, enabling me to maintain clean data and arrange my projects effortlessly. Moreover, I find the setup process straightforward, especially with the help of available templates to quickly configure it to my preferences. Notion is by far the best tool I've used for project management over others I've tried.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes encounter issues with the AI feature for meeting notes, as it can get cut off unexpectedly if your internet cuts out, I'm sure they'll fix this. Additionally, the AI Notion agent currently doesn't support reading PDFs, which would be a helpful capability once developed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to centralize my business operations, from project management to stakeholder linking, keeping data clean and integrated, which simplifies research and client engagement.

I really love Notion's simplistic UI, which makes it easy to find things and organize documents seamlessly. The ease with which I can create, modify, and relate databases is very impressive. Formulas within the databases are straightforward and simple to handle. I also appreciate the capabilities of Notion AI, which enhances my productivity by assisting me accurately. The tool’s simplicity greatly lowers the barrier to creating documentation, making it an excellent choice for team collaboration. This simplicity is why I’ve introduced Notion to multiple companies, leading to successful implementation as their daily tool. Notion makes it so incredibly easy to get started, especially compared to other complex tools like Atlassian, and offers a user-friendly way to manage documentation and product planning.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find myself frequently switching away from Notion to use Claude directly because I believe Claude currently offers better collaboration and discussion features for tasks that require back-and-forth refinement. Notion, while good at executing tasks, doesn't always prompt me with the right questions or take me through effective feedback loops to refine tasks comprehensively. Additionally, the absence of a dedicated iPad app for Notion's calendar feature is quite a hindrance for me. I want to move away from using Apple calendars, but until Notion is accessible on all my devices, I'm limited in making that switch.
