Robust Features, But Needs Better Intuition and Support
What do you like best about the product?
I like Notion for its robust database management features. The color coordination available within the platform is also a feature I appreciate, as it helps me visually differentiate between various notes and tasks. I also enjoyed using the AI capabilities while I had access to them. I like the note-taker function.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find Notion not at all intuitive, which made the setup process difficult. Additionally, the documentation provided wasn't great, which added to the confusion. I also feel there should be more AI features included in the base package, instead of them being available only to certain tier levels. They should otherwise be available as an add-on as opposed to only with certain seat tier levels. And/or different users on the account should be able to have different tier level seats. Furthermore, the customer support should be much more accessible, ideally with a human live chat or a phone number to call, as at least one of those options is necessary, especially given that the UX/UI is not intuitive. Also, the task/project management features could be greatly improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for documentation, project, product, and customer success management, finding its robust database management and visualization features helpful.

Less used than say google docs - so people don't always know how to collaborate with it

The search function in Notion can become cumbersome when there are a lot of different pages. It shows not only the pages themselves but also individual items within those pages, which can make it overwhelming to find specific content.

What do you like best about the product?
I absolutely enjoy the ease of use that Notion provides. From the beginning, I found the organization within Notion to be exceptional. The search and AI search functionalities are incredibly helpful for locating various items and asking questions, making my work much more streamlined. The AI assistant is a standout feature for me; I appreciate being able to ask it random questions and have it efficiently search through our extensive documentation and even some older tickets to provide accurate answers. It's also fantastic to have a centralized place where every department within the company can store and access internal documentation with ease and editability for everyone. Furthermore, Notion plays a crucial role in allowing us to update our user manual efficiently, with changes being published seamlessly based on our edits. This makes managing content and sharing knowledge across teams a straightforward process, enhancing our productivity and collaboration.

What do you like best about the product?
I love using Notion for organizing both my work-related and personal notes. It keeps everything neatly arranged, making it easy for me to track projects and know where each item is located. The ease of use when typing and the ability to add different headers or organize pages enhances my workflow. Although I'm still improving my skills with databases, this feature is also proving to be highly beneficial for me. Notion's capabilities allow me to maintain a structured view of all my information, which is incredibly valuable.

I find that there is a definite learning curve with Notion. Initially, it was challenging to set up, and I had to rely on YouTube to learn tips and tricks. I feel that more trainings and tutorials provided directly by Notion would be beneficial to ease the onboarding process for new users.

Highly Customizable, But Requires Time to Learn
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to customize my pages and databases to my needs in different areas. I use Notion daily for work, personal development, and at home so having everything in one place is important. Once I have my databases set up I am easily able to pull in the information I need. There is a lot of information available to support and troubleshoot issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a learning curve because the advanced capability and various functions the platform has.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the use of Notion AI I am able to ask a question and recevie an answer based on the information I have available on the platform. Also having those pages referenced in the answer as well as the summary has been extremly helpful on cutting down on time spent looking for information.
