Notion as a wizard for students
What do you like best about the product?
the best thing about notion is obviously the crazy amount of features it has and also its UI/UX. I have been basically managing every aspect of my life on notion from past 1.5 years. from internship applications to health goals to assignment tracking to entrance exam preparation and even my mood journalling, notion has been my way to go! I even organise my daily planners, track my gym routine and basically head to toe of my life on notion. and how can I forget about my upsc preparation on notion. I have been able to organise and plan and structure every part of upsc exam on it starting from syllabus to plan to books to tests to quotes to YouTube videos everything. its features are so easily implemented and I cant go a single day without using notion!
the best thing is that I use notion to be updated in my current affairs. the feature of correlating two different elements at different pages gives me the proper system to organise my notes and keep them updated with current affairs.

What do you dislike about the product?
Notion has a crazy amount of features but I feel that what really lacks is a proper guide or a help desk that can easily help users and let them discover the already existing amazing features. Also, their colour scheme seems very pale. I would love if they add some amazing colour options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it has been of immense help in planning and structuring and properly making my life goal oriented,
Works well but isn't customizable or as in-depth as I would like.
What do you like best about the product?
I plan to use Notion extensively for technical writing, order management, habit tracking, and journaling. It's been invaluable as a prototyping tool to discover what works in my workflows, but its limitations are clear.
What Works Well:
Claude AI Integration - The ability to interact with my Notion workspace through Claude is genuinely transformative. It accelerates documentation work, helps with organization, and adds intelligent automation to my workflow.
True Cross-Platform Access - Native apps on Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android mean I can work seamlessly across all devices. This isn't just web access—it's properly implemented native experiences.
Workflow Discovery - Notion excels as a rapid prototyping environment. I can quickly test organizational structures, documentation approaches, and workflow patterns to figure out what actually works before committing to a more permanent solution.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. Markdown & Table Formatting Issues
Pasting markdown tables either fails completely or produces messy, malformed results that require extensive manual cleanup
Tables lack critical features for technical documentation: no merged cells, limited formatting options, and poor handling of complex data structures
This significantly slows down documentation workflows when migrating from other tools or working with structured technical data
2. Rigid Design & Layout Constraints
Page layouts are extremely limited—you're stuck with Notion's predetermined aesthetic
No ability to customize UI elements, spacing, or create truly custom page designs
For professional technical documentation or client-facing materials, the lack of design control is a dealbreaker
Everything looks "like Notion" with no way to create a unique, polished visual identity
3. Database Filter Limitations
Cannot toggle filters on/off without creating entirely new views
This clutters workspaces with multiple views just to see different filter combinations
For use cases requiring frequent filter changes (order management, habit tracking), this adds unnecessary friction
No quick filter panel or temporary filter options
4. No Task Nesting or Subtasks in Tables
Cannot create hierarchical task structures within database tables
No native subtask functionality—forces workarounds with relations or separate databases
Makes project management and complex task tracking cumbersome compared to dedicated task management tools

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is being tested as a tool to rewrite and format old powerpoint instructions to a more digestible and digital format. I am additionally attempting to replace a few different applications for habit tracking, task management, and order management with notion. It serves as a good tool for those habits. The more I use it the more I find it is intensely useful if I dont need anything complex from it.

Comprehensive Tool with a Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
I love the AI feature of Notion, specifically how it handles meeting summaries and transcript summaries, which really helps streamline my workflow. The comprehensive note and project management tools are indispensable for my MBA studies and startup meetings. The ability to document a series of important information using Notion's building blocks makes organizing data straightforward and efficient. This productivity boost is why I switched from Microsoft To Do, and it meets all my needs for note-taking and task management. Leveraging Notion for managing my to-do lists, meeting recordings, and class notes has been hugely beneficial. The variety of tutorials offered by Notion, despite needing more ease of access, significantly enhanced my understanding of the platform's capabilities and helped me use it more effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the initial setup of Notion somewhat challenging to understand. It required me to take several tutorials offered by Notion to grasp how to use it more effectively. Additionally, I believe there should be easier access to these tutorials and guidance for efficiently using the software.
