Best App to Systemize Your Life
What do you like best about the product?
Notion is the software I have ever needed to organize my personal and work life all in one place. I was using Evernote and Bear before and after seeing the Notion capabilities, I am a believer!
What do you dislike about the product?
In some rate cases, what I don't like lack of freedom in databases and automations even with paid plans. And also lack of dashboard view. I can make charts and pie charts, but I need more freedom.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem of not being flexible and not paying a hefty monthly payments. Easy to use design.
GAME CHANGING AI IMPLEMENTATION -- ALMOST PERFECT
What do you like best about the product?
It gives a broad range of options for organizing any aspect of life. I signed up almost exclusively for the AI automations and really love the deep integrations offered. I have it connected to Claude and have been using it via my desktop terminal to design my own second brain template.
What do you dislike about the product?
UI customization is super limited which frustrates me because I want to make optimizations that help my neurodivergent brain. Also, the AI will delete pages and I don't understand why.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its serving as a master database for my brain. This helps me drop anything and recall it later, especially with the robust filter and property options added. Its solving the platform switching since it now offers Email and Calendar too.

I find Notion invaluable for organizing both personal and professional projects, offering a unified system that I hadn't found with other services. Having everything stored in one place is particularly beneficial, as it helps streamline my workflow significantly. I appreciate the AI assistant feature immensely; it's a great tool that simplifies navigating and executing tasks within Notion, especially when I don't have the time to manually figure out complex actions. I also enjoy the templates that Notion offers, albeit some come with a cost. Despite that, the templates provide structured frameworks which I find quite useful to kickstart a variety of projects. Overall, Notion's flexibility is a standout benefit that makes it a worthwhile service for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the learning curve for Notion to be challenging and overwhelming, even with my technical background. Setting up the platform was difficult, and I had to rely heavily on external resources like videos and the AI assistant to understand the platform's functionalities. Despite using Notion for months, I still feel I haven't fully grasped it. The onboarding process seems cumbersome, and existing tutorials aren't intuitive enough, which makes integrating and utilizing all features daunting. Additionally, the necessity to purchase templates without a preview or trial feels odd, as it forces me to spend money on something I might not fully utilize.

Notion AI has become the central hub for everything I do — from managing complex projects to building living SOPs and knowledge bases for my team. The AI writing assistant is surprisingly intuitive; it helps me summarize long meeting notes, create action lists, and even generate polished updates that sound human, not robotic. The customization and automation potential are unmatched, especially when connecting Notion with tools like Google Sheets or Zapier. It feels like having a personal operations assistant built right into my workspace.

The only downside is that large workspaces with heavy databases can sometimes lag when using advanced filters or linked views. Also, integrating enterprise systems (like Google Workspace under company restrictions) can take a few extra steps. But once everything’s set up, it runs smooth and reliable.

I would like the calendar and email features in Notion to be more integral and not just basic add-ons. Currently, while these features are functional, they feel supplemental rather than core parts of the offering. Enhancements to these areas would be beneficial, making them more robust and appealing.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like Notion for its integrated artificial intelligence options. These tools are incredibly useful when I take notes in class, as they help me correct grammatical errors and organize disordered information, which is a great benefit for me. Additionally, I can ask the artificial intelligence to summarize my notes or make class summaries, which is invaluable in my university experience. I also enjoy the marketplace area where I can access templates from other people and use them in my own work, which is a very advantageous option. I valued Notion's ability to effectively address both my educational and organizational needs, which only makes me want to continue using its system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I find using Notion complicated, especially when trying to set up tables or when I need to place specific information. Although these tasks have improved over time, initially they were cumbersome. There are also times when the application's artificial intelligence options limit me; particularly, I feel a barrier when they assume I'm cheating on tasks and change the subject instead of giving me the requested answer. This restriction can be frustrating, considering that afterwards I need to resort to alternatives like ChatGPT or GMind. Additionally, the cost is an inconvenience, as I pay 25 dollars a month for features mainly aimed at businesses, which is excessive for a student. I think it would be very beneficial to have a special pricing plan for students that includes artificial intelligence options, as we all currently depend on this technology for our tasks.

Notion improves my disorganized notes and corrects spelling errors with artificial intelligence, providing class summaries, making my study more efficient.

One potential downside of Notion AI is that it provides generic responses, which often require further editing to be tailored to my specific needs. It can also be somewhat slow when working with large or complex documents.

I love that I can keep all of my info in one spot and notion will easily put my notes into something that makes sense. I can also just speak to it and it will make a bullet list note for me and break it down into tasks

I like pretty much everything, I would just say as ai evolves to continue updating notion ai as obviously some things get looked over or missed because it’s not always right
