AI-Driven Efficiency with Notion

  • October 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Notion helps centralize all my ideas, prompts, and business plans into one location, saving me from keeping everything in my head or dealing with paper clutter. The AI feature is incredibly time-saving, acting like a virtual assistant to handle mundane tasks, allowing me to focus on ideas that propel my business forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the initial setup process of Notion to be overwhelming without the aid of Notion AI. Although the AI streamlines the process significantly, the initial look at tutorials was daunting. Additionally, I dislike that the free AI feature is limited to five uses, and after that, it is no longer available for free use, which was not clearly advertised. This restriction can be frustrating and impacts how I use my credits. Better advertising and transparency about these limitations upfront would improve the user experience. Furthermore, during consultation or demo sessions with consultants, it's not clearly communicated that these consultants do not work directly for Notion, which can lead to confusion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use the product to centralize my business ideas and plans, eliminating paper clutter and mental overload, making everything accessible in one location. With the AI feature, it saves me time by acting as a virtual assistant, handling necessary mundane tasks effortlessly.

Amazing tool for gathering information and recalling it.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the ability to create and customize how I save and display the information that is important to me. I have been able to build an IT ticket system that works for me. It's responsive and quick to enter data into the system. The AI capabilities have elevated it to another level. It's more than a note taking system. It has database capabilities and you can link them together to do amazing things. You can watch a 30 minute youtube video of how to use it and build something that works for you. There are a lot of free templates to get you up and running in no time. There's a store where you can purchase templates from other creators if you don't want to figure out how to build your own.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I dislike the simplistic printing. It's functional but seems like there could be more customization. However, it's 2025, why are we printing...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has saved time creating tickets and keeping track of my open issues. It's becoming a data repository for me. As I add more solutions and information specific to my company, the AI can provide me with better answers that are tailored to my organization.

Highly Customizable, But Needs Built-in Tutorials

  • October 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the customizable nature of Notion, which allows me to tailor the platform to my specific needs for project management and training systems. The capability to integrate databases, tag materials, and track updates easily is extremely valuable. I enjoy how each database entry can be transformed into a task, providing a seamless overview of tasks related to training entries. The integration with Slack to automatically enter tech support requests enhances efficiency. Additionally, I appreciate the ability to create a modern, organized, and searchable knowledge base for support materials.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found Notion to have a significant learning curve initially. Despite being comfortable with new software, I felt overwhelmed by the blank slate that Notion presents. It required me to dedicate time to learning via third-party YouTube tutorials to understand how its databases work, how they can be linked, and how to utilize different views. I think it would be helpful if Notion included more built-in tutorials and guidance for specific use cases, like project management, to make the onboarding process smoother and more intuitive. Without external resources, I would have struggled to get started effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to transform our outdated PDF-based knowledge base into an organized, searchable system, allowing easy tracking and updating of training materials, which ultimately becomes a modern, customizable knowledge base. We are also adopting it as our project management tool to manage timelines, assign tasks, and take notes.

Fantastic Tool for Business Operations, Needs LLM Improvements

  • October 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Notion serves as a blank canvas that I can customize extensively, matching exactly the evolving needs of my business. I also appreciate Notion AI's capability to assist in strategizing and proposal generation, acting as a collaborative partner in my operations. The tool also helps me transition smoothly from building the infrastructure to actual usage, allowing for seamless updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
{"I find the onboarding process overwhelming, with insufficient guidance for new users like me.","I find Notion AI's reliability problematic. It often doesn't perform tasks as expected or claims to have completed tasks when it hasn't, making it seem unreliable."}
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to efficiently move information through my business and leverage AI for actions, streamlining processes as a solo operator. The use of relational databases within a flexible framework enhances business operations.

Learning curve, but great tool

  • October 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It has so many options available to use for my business. It's nice to have one tool instead of hopping between several.
What do you dislike about the product?
It will give me wrong information, I will call it out and correct it, and it will give me the same wrong information as before. Or it will say yes I can definitely do that, and then two seconds later it'll say no I can't do that. It's frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping me out everything together that I will need for my new business

A powerhouse for docs, project management, and now AI

  • October 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion has become the central nervous system for our team. We use it for everything from company wikis and SOPs to project tracking, dashboards, and even lightweight CRM. Its flexibility is unmatched—whether you're building a quick checklist or a deeply nested database view, Notion adapts to your workflow. The addition of Notion AI has been a game-changer: we’re now drafting proposals, summarizing meeting notes, and generating outlines with ease—right inside the workspace. The seamless integration between structured data and freeform content is something no other tool has nailed quite like this.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion can sometimes feel sluggish with large pages or databases—especially on mobile. While offline support has improved, it’s still not 100% reliable in environments with poor connectivity. Also, while the AI features are powerful, there's room to improve the formatting output (especially when you're trying to preserve complex page structure or multi-column layouts). But these are minor trade-offs for what you get.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is solving our fragmentation problem. Before Notion, documentation, project tracking, meeting notes, and knowledge sharing lived across too many tools—Google Docs, Trello, Confluence, Slack threads, etc. Now, it's all in one place. We’ve built a centralized knowledge base that scales with our team, and we use databases to run our content roadmap, partner onboarding, product feedback loops, and more. The ability to mix structured and unstructured content (plus embed anything!) makes it incredibly flexible. Notion AI has added even more speed—we now generate first drafts, summarize calls, and even ideate inside the same workspace, reducing time wasted switching contexts. It’s become mission-critical.

Gamechanger to the workspace!

  • October 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion AI is a powerful addition to the Notion workspace that makes drafting, summarizing, and brainstorming much easier without leaving your notes or databases. Its biggest strength is seamless integration — you can generate content, rewrite text, or pull out key takeaways directly where you work, which saves time and reduces context switching. It’s especially useful for teams, since AI outputs live in the same collaborative space as tasks and docs. That said, the quality of responses can be uneven and sometimes generic, and performance slows down on very large pages. Still, for anyone already using Notion, it’s a strong productivity boost that earns a solid 4.5/5.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be a little clunky still. But that could be user error.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management, document creation, synthesis

Notion is so integral to my everyday work

  • October 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love all the things that you can do in Notion. There are so many use cases, it has helped me become more productive, keep everything in the one place. Instead of needing heaps of applications I use one.
What do you dislike about the product?
- It can seem hard to use at first
- There can be a few clunky things, that just don't work as well as other applications
- Notion Mail, I tried it but it really didn't work for me. It just seems too "new" at the moment and needs a bit more work
- Notion AI - while it is good for summarising or process writing, it is really bad at creative writing e.g. content writing. I have found sticking with chat gpt direct produces better ideas or writing
- It can be very time consuming when you are setting it up e.g. databases etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is benefiting our business by keeping everything in the one place. We can share pages/documents with our clients. It is saving us hours of work by not having to do things manually.
