the notion ai isnt the greatest and also there are issues with having automations that fire when a database item changes

What do you like best about the product?
Notion has completely changed the way we organize and access information. The Knowledge Management features make it simple to centralize resources so our team always has a single source of truth. On top of that, the Enterprise Search has been a game-changer—I can quickly find what I need without wasting time digging through different docs or folders.
Together, these tools have saved me hours each week and made collaboration across our team much smoother.

What do you dislike about the product?
While I really value Notion for knowledge management and search, there is a bit of a learning curve for new team members, and workspaces with large databases can feel a little slower at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is solving the challenge of scattered information across different tools and platforms. By centralizing resources through its Knowledge Management features, our team now has a single source of truth, which reduces confusion and improves collaboration. The Enterprise Search makes it easy to quickly find what we need, saving us hours each week and letting us focus more on actual work instead of hunting down documents.

Access from any device, simple layout, tons of customization options to help me display info many different ways
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, I want to change the size of certain images or move specific data sets around and it's either very hard to do it without ruining everything or it's just not possible
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm naturally forgetful and disorganized and I am finally able to conceptualize what needs to be done and what I need to remember to manage all my tasks

Notion offers impressive AI features, including its AI assistant, search capabilities, and various prompts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion can be challenging to navigate, as pages often become deeply nested, which makes it hard to find what you need and even more difficult to archive older information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is our core internal database at company, used across multiple departments for internal documentation, project management, note taking, etc.
Reliable, scalable, and intuitive source of truth
What do you like best about the product?
Notion has been incredible for knowledge management and excels in bringing the user in every experience. Their database component is my go-to when organizing large data sets into a visually compelling story. It's so easy to search for documents, databases, source documents, and more with their advanced search functionality (no more combing through disorganized Google Drive folders!)
What do you dislike about the product?
Would love to see more formatting and font capabilities in their documents - - or anything to help visually chunk long text in a way that is more engaging and easier to scan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Without Notion, it can be time-consuming and difficult to find the right documents. However, their search and knowledge management makes it easy for me to identify the right document out of thousands immediately.
AI Notetaker
What do you like best about the product?
All the different types of templates available for download, and the AI notetaker
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems like it's a bit memory intensive, laptop lags slightly if on the app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to focus on the meeting while Notion's AI Notetaker jots down notes.

Simple, sleek, powerful tool. Organized my chaos instantly.

Powerful, but can be overwhelming at first. I probably don't use half of what's available!

Keeps everything in one place instead of across sticky notes, docs, and apps.

I really appreciate how flexible Notion is, as it offers so many possibilities for streamlining workflows and communicating with colleagues.

There are a few limitations with the product, but I know the team is actively addressing them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing data effectively and ensuring its accuracy are crucial aspects for me. I also value having clear visibility and open communication within the system. Centralizing information helps streamline processes and makes it much easier to access what I need.
Templates help with setup time so you can get to planning and note-taking
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the tables, database format and attributes that are flexible. I’ve found using a template database for academic use was a great way to get started. I love that I can take my own notes and that I can use notion.ai to summarize content - the way it’s done is much more helpful than chat gpt in that I get key quotations as well and it provides context for me in notetaking. I like the ability to use AI to calculate attribute fields, set up tables and to refine my writing for APA style papers when I have too much content for the word requirements or I want to make sure I’ve captured key themes appropriately. I love the idea of the family database and being able to integrate with other relevant data that crosses platforms and data sources.
What do you dislike about the product?
The setup time can be a lot and isn’t always intuitive. I think maybe if I fiddle with AI some more to pull in data it would be helpful but I don’t have enough competence in prompt-writing to get the results I need so I end up doing more manual work than necessary. I do find typing/ outlining/ formatting to be more of a challenge for general note taking than google docs - it feels like it takes more effort to highlight, change/ move parts of it. I am not quite sure how to integrate things like Microsoft sheets, word, etc so that I can have the info in Notion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping me to keep track of industry literature, my notes, and how they relate to my work in other areas. Help with my notetaking and organizing to do lists and keeping on track with assignments and reading. The visual reminders/ display of data help me to understand short, mid and long term needs.
