Notion helpful for searching for critical data
What do you like best about the product?
My org uses Notion as a hub for all material on operational procedures an workflows. I like how the AI search function is able to identify what I need very quickly.

Sometimes it will populate the wrong data, however that could be more on the data we collect internally rather than the search function.

It's properly identifying the information I need regarding operational workflows within the business. Rather than messaging someone through our internal messaging provider, I can head to notion and feel confident in finding the answer.
A Flexible, All-in-One Workspace—Powerful but Not Perfect
What do you like best about the product?
Notion is one of the few tools that allows you to fully customise how you work, plan, and collaborate. It combines docs, databases, kanban boards, calendars, and wikis in a single interface that can be tailored for anything from personal habit trackers to complex team project management. The linked database feature is particularly useful for creating structured yet flexible systems. Collaboration is smooth, and the learning curve is manageable for most users. Templates and community resources also make onboarding faster.
What do you dislike about the product?
Performance can lag, especially with large databases or on mobile. Offline access is still unreliable, which makes it a poor fit for people who work while travelling or in low-connectivity environments. The search function is not as robust as it should be for a productivity tool, and permissions management for teams lacks some finer granularity. It’s also easy to get lost in over-customisation instead of doing actual work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps consolidate scattered tools into one central workspace. Instead of switching between docs, task managers, calendars, spreadsheets, and shared folders, I can build everything in one place. This has streamlined how I manage research projects, startup operations, meeting notes, and long-term planning. It reduces context switching, improves visibility across workstreams, and allows me to create customised systems that adapt as priorities change. It’s especially useful for managing complex, multidisciplinary work without rigid software constraints.
Good in most ways, would love a warehouse integration capability or easier export options
What do you like best about the product?

What do you dislike about the product?
Search can be very difficult. I spent a long while trying to find a file but search didnt show it. I had to scroll back through slack messages to find a link that was something very similar to what i searched.
Exporting data I find tricky, also would love the option to automate notion tables to a google sheet

The AI functionality and the variety of customizable blocks are particularly useful, enhancing my productivity by summarizing notes and allowing intuitive organization. I also enjoy how it seamlessly integrates with Google Suite, making it a comprehensive platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it a bit daunting to get started with Notion due to the learning curve. When I first used it, setting up pages was a little difficult because of the wide range of options available, even with the templates. Initially, it felt intimidating as I had to become familiar with the building blocks of the platform. Additionally, I think the AI functionality could be more user-friendly if there were clearer guidance on how to use it effectively, with well-defined use cases presented to me.

I found the setup process of Notion to be quite challenging. It took me a considerable amount of time to get accustomed to it and to figure out what I wanted to achieve using this tool. I had to resort to watching a lot of tutorial videos and engage in troubleshooting to find solutions to the issues I was facing. Despite considering myself technically savvy, I would not describe the onboarding process as straightforward. The introductory phase felt somewhat daunting and overwhelming, which could be intimidating, especially for new users.
