Notion user experience
What do you like best about the product?
Notion allows you to create and easily manage your notes. Its a blank canvas which encourages creativity.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion is heavy and takes time to load. Our company has an added security mechanism where token is only valid for 24 hours. Logging in after the log out is usually difficult and requires many retries.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps store company information which preserves institutional knowledge.
Useful software, replace Google suite!

Flexibility, enables creativity, and usability.

Maybe too open ended for company documentation, takes skill and experience to use to fullest extent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion was particularly useful when onboarding to a new company. I could just ask the AI assistant any questions I had and it would summarize from the entire company's knowledge base.
Great tool for knowledge search and consolidation.

Notion AI is one of the best in terms of indexing a variety of document types.

grep-style search is not the best to find pages.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the interface and how easy it is to add notes to pages. I also like all the keyboard shortcuts which makes it easy to select different tools available for taking notes. The interface is very clean and there is no need to go back and forth between different folders on the browser like with Google Docs. I'm yet to try the AI tools like the AI Writing Assistant
What do you dislike about the product?
Initial setup didn't feel easy. Its been a month or so since I started using it and I still do not know if the templates I'm using are right for the job.

What do you like best about the product?
Notion gives me SO MUCH flexibility that makes my life easier. I use it to create product specs and GTM Documents, it just simplifies how I can organize and share it.

I feel like you have a bit of learning curve? But once you pass that you are good to go

Notion can help me find information across my entire organization as it's our main source of documentation. I don't need to bother my colleagues to ask where is something or how to do something, I can simply ask Notion.

Notion has been instrumental in streamlining our daily workflows. I especially love the variety of integrations—it makes everything more connected and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
"I’d love to see more templates available as a time-saving feature. Additionally, it would be helpful to have a native flowchart-building feature. Currently, I have to use a third-party app and integrate it into my Notion page, which adds extra steps to my workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I consolidated all our workflows from multiple tools into a centralized Notion page, giving my team a one-stop shop for everything they need.

Easily searchable and customizable- we can build pages in formats to address whatever we need

Steep learning curve - it takes awhile to get all the formatting things figured out and it's not an immediate ease of use like with microsoft onenote

It's easy to search a huge range of notes/pages and previous documentation and find easy, summarizable answers

What do you like best about the product?
Its super powerful to be able to prompt notion AI with any question about my business. It will not only search my Notion instance, but also other connected data sources. Its so easy to use and it is always my first place to ask a question, rather than asking a colleague.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can take a while to query data sources outside of notion, like Google Drive.

Documentation and knowledge base are super powerful and I am using it everyday.

I particularly appreciate how easy it is to transform loose notes into structured databases, and how seamlessly you can cross-reference information across different pages.

The platform's clean, minimalist interface reduces distractions while still offering powerful organizational tools when you need them. The platform's export options, while adequate for basic needs, could be expanded to support more file formats and maintain better formatting fidelity. For academic work specifically, better integration with citation management tools and improved formatting options for academic writing would be valuable additions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion AI to quickly summarize academic journal articles, and to highlight the important information. The ability to quickly and easily generate work flow tutorials that can be shared with learners saves me time. The databasing abilities have made project management so much easier.
Great tool, UI takes some getting used to
What do you like best about the product?
Notion AI is really helpful, allowing you to find the information you need with a quick ChatGPT like search experience. It is a fantastic data repository of information.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is just not super intuitive.Even when your search results come up, the ability to launch into documents is not simple.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me being in Sales, this is a way to gather information in a quick summary of our prospects before we decide on sales tactics to use for our meetings. We also use NotionAI to develop sample email cadences based on information that NotionAI collects for us in a matter of seconds vs. hours of manual searches.
