Excellent workspace

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is incredibly versatile and intuitive—it allows me to centralize docs, project tracking, and collaboration all in one place. I love how easy it is to create structured databases that still feel flexible and human. It keeps my team aligned without feeling overly rigid.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion can get bogged down with large or complex pages, and its performance sometimes lags when handling lots of embedded content. I also wish it had more robust timeline/calendar views and better support for multiple date fields in visualizations. Also no autopopulation like on spreadsheets
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion solves the problem of scattered information and tool overload by bringing docs, project management, wikis, and knowledge sharing into one cohesive workspace. It eliminates the need to jump between Google Docs, Trello, and Confluence by offering a single source of truth that’s easy to navigate and customize. This benefits me by saving time, reducing context switching, and making it easier to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a visually organized way. It’s also flexible enough to evolve with our workflows as they change.

Notion is an amazing productivity tool

What do you like best about the product?
I needed a tool to replace Apple Notes and got so much more. I find it easy to use and leveraging the AI feature has been a game changer for the work I do as a community-based membership platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have anything I currently dislike about Notion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First, I needed a place to organize my internal brands, my clients, my thoughts, and my stakeholders. Beyond that, I run a membership community, and every month we do 7 hours of live group training. I leverage the AI writer to create interactive checklists and workbooks 100% aligned with my training programs, which turns out to be A LOT!

Notion is perfectly customizable for my team

What do you like best about the product?
We use it for both task management AND documentation. We have many teams that use it for different types of projects, so it's great to be able to assign a lead and make the systems work together for the same database of clients, just different project types.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems a bit buggy lately and inexplicably. Multiple people on my team are reporting similar issues and that causes us to lose efficiency.

We also wish that we could move the comments to BELOW the page contents, so the important details don't get lost (or at least have the option to).

And it would be great if when someone was notified that they were mentioned on a page, that the email notification could show the project that the page belongs to for greater context.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing complex projects with large teams. Being able to customize the interface to suit our needs.

Powerful Yet Overpriced with a Steep Learning Curve

What do you like best about the product?
I am thrilled with Notion's ability to create templates swiftly, like a bullet journal, which can be iterated and customized with ease. This feature significantly optimizes page setups, making it extremely beneficial for tasks like table configurations. Additionally, I appreciate Notion's exceptional shareability and pleasant user interface, which enhances my overall experience. The seamless storage of tasks alongside their results in one place allows me to efficiently manage writing projects and their associated notes without toggling between multiple files. This centralization is incredibly convenient for my solopreneur business. Notion's databases are invaluable for storing various text files and journaling weekly. The platform's capacity to generate shareable pages that others can enjoy is a feature I highly value. Finally, I find Notion's usability as a task manager and a comprehensive storage facility for my coaching and writing business incredibly effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found Notion AI to be as satisfying as I would have liked, particularly in its ability to search and find specific quotes or notes from my stored Readwise notes. Additionally, I'm not entirely familiar with how to optimally prompt Notion AI, which adds to my frustration. Pricing is another concern; I feel that Notion AI is somewhat overpriced, especially since I haven't discovered a specific use case that justifies its cost for a solopreneur like me. Moreover, setting up Notion can be challenging due to its steep learning curve, although resources like YouTube tutorials from people like Thomas Frank are helpful. Lastly, I wish Notion had more accessible page templates and a better workout tracker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to store tasks and related products in one place, tracking writing projects seamlessly without switching files. It optimizes page setups and table configurations, simplifying workflow management and offering easy shareability for collaboration.

I use Notion for everything now!

  • May 19, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I love about Notion is that the possibilities are endless. Whenever an app our organization uses or our CRM is lacking a feature I can use Notion to build the tool the way I want it to function. It's become the life force of our business and we're constantly finding new ways to use it!
What do you dislike about the product?
I love the AI Writing Assistant but when I use the AI writing feature in a property it's never formatted the way I need it to be and I don't know if it's able to format what it writes within a property so it creates an extra step. Not the end of the world but would love if they could fix it!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps our business create a smooth work flow and create tools that would normally cost hundreds of dollars in subscription costs. It's our central hub now. I hope it continues to only grow and get better.

Excellent for a PhD Student Managing Many Tasks/Projects

What do you like best about the product?
Notion has been one of the most helpful things I’ve done since starting my PhD in clinical psychology. It helps me in being able to manage multiple tasks, including my thesis dissertation, teaching requirements papers in progress projects I’m working on, etc. I’ve also used it to create webpages that I share with other collaborators at conferences as well as other tools to just assist my day-to-day.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the AI could improve significantly and how it relates to an interface is with the notion interface. There are often times when I ask the AI to help me just better format a certain page and it honestly just makes things worse rather than help. It also could do much better than being able to look across all of my projects and synthesize information for example finding due dates and creating a due date/to-do list that is Relevant and specifically drawn from my own notion pages. I think there’s a lot of improvement that can be done to the AI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping me balance all of the task that I need to get done is part of my PhD

Helpful Project Management Tool

  • May 19, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is a great knowledge management tool to help keep my global team on track. Its features allows my team to clearly outline expectations and deadlines - making communicating across different time zones and languages easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a first-time user of Notion, it was a bit difficult to wrap my head around all of the features. It might just be how my team has it set up, but in my opinion, it might be easier to use if there weren't so many hoops to jump through when creating a task/project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion allows for my team to store work in a centralized location - making it easy for teams around the globe to edit and access. I work cross-functionally across different teams and Notion helps us communicate expectations and deadlines for different projects.

Great product with room for improvement.

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is an awesome tool for organizing documents and creating consistency across the organization and I use it on the daily. The organization in the tool is great and allows you to create direct relationships between relevant topics. The platform offers a large amount of tools from regular pages to embedding to creating databases. The AI feature is awesome and allows you to create something that corporations are pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into. An AI that will effectively read your own documentation and respond based on that is something that every organization should look into doing. You can also link it to some service like Slack and Google Drive, however, that is hidden behind yet another paywall. Although a slight learning curve, when you do get notion set up, it can be great.
What do you dislike about the product?
While powerful, notion can sometimes be slightly confusing. The nested structure can make it tricky to navigate around, although, the search tool is a great helper for this. The UI can also be somewhat frustrating at times since it has not yet felt intuitive for me to get used to intentionally having to open up a new tab, rather the default is for the product to take you to the new page and lose the old page you were on. The AI tool also has room for improvement, my main problem with the tool is the lack of context/presets. The tool does read through your documents however, there is no way to create company wide defaults that would allow you to quickly create rules for AI searching. The AI is in its Alpha so it is expected that it will get better over time. The customer support is also difficult to get a hold of. The tools for AI help and the automated AI responses are great, however, I have been waiting for a week for a human response at this point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating an easily accessible AI searchable knowledge base that gives my organization quick access to documentation that could easily be buried under numerous folders.
