Good features!

  • October 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion offers a wide range of features, making it possible to replace other tools we currently use, like Asana and Google Docs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am new to Notion, and I find that some features require quite a bit of searching to figure out how to use them. For instance, when I want to sync different tasks together, it's not easy to locate this option as a beginner.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We keep all our documents in Notion and also bring our calendar and planning into a single Notion page. This setup is very helpful and makes everything easy to find.

I love the versatility of the tool for everything from project tracking, news feeds, training resources, etc. Its so easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more integrations so I can connect more systems. And equally stronger integrations such as with Clickup, Jira, and Teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being a central source of information that we can use internally. Allowing us to have one space for everything, which also has all the capabilities we need. Be it backlogs, project planning, resource pages, etc. We can use it for everything.

Notion for Arch & Construction Workplaces

  • October 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Notion is infinitely customizable and we’re using it for our office to create amazing workflows. As a design-build firm, we’ve tailored it to manage everything from early design concepts and client communications to construction schedules and vendor coordination. Notion is the first app I open every day, and has been super easy for our team to jump into.

Notion allows our architecture and interiors teams to stay fully aligned with our project management and field teams in real time. We’ve built dashboards for project tracking, RFIs, meeting notes, and even finish schedules—all linked together seamlessly. It’s eliminated so many disconnected spreadsheets and endless email threads.

We’ve also started integrating Notion AI to streamline our daily operations. It helps summarize meeting notes, draft client updates, and even generate early design narratives or blog outlines. It’s not replacing creativity or technical expertise, but it’s freeing up time for our team to focus on design thinking and problem-solving.

For anyone in the construction, architecture, or interior design world who’s tired of clunky, one-size-fits-all software, Notion is a breath of fresh air. It adapts to the way you work—whether that’s visual planning, detailed documentation, or team-wide collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
While we love how flexible and powerful Notion is, there are a few challenges worth noting.

Because it’s so customizable, setup can be time-consuming. Building a system that truly fits an architecture or construction workflow takes trial and error—and usually a few false starts. It’s not plug-and-play like other project management tools, so teams need someone who enjoys structuring databases and refining templates.

We’ve also found that syncing with industry-standard tools like Bluebeam, Revit, or Procore isn’t seamless yet. Notion works beautifully as a central knowledge hub, but once you get into drawings, submittals, and construction documentation, it still requires manual linking or external integrations.

Offline access is another area for improvement. On job sites or in areas with limited connectivity, it’s not always reliable. For a field-heavy profession like construction, that can slow down quick referencing in the moment.

Finally, as much as we appreciate Notion AI, it still needs guidance. It’s great at summarizing and drafting, but it doesn’t always understand technical language or complex design-build processes. It’s a helpful assistant—not a replacement for industry expertise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is helping us bridge the long-standing gap between design, documentation, and construction management. Traditionally, architecture and construction teams operate in separate silos with information scattered across emails, PDFs, and spreadsheets. Notion consolidates all of that into a single, living workspace.

It’s solved major pain points for us:

Project transparency: Everyone—from designers to field staff—can see real-time project status, meeting notes, and decisions without hunting through email threads.

Knowledge management: Our standards, vendor lists, and product libraries now live in one searchable database instead of buried in shared drives.

Process consistency: By building custom templates for our Action Plan, design phases, and construction tracking, we’ve standardized workflows across the entire office while keeping them flexible for different project types.

Client communication: We can share selected Notion pages as live project dashboards, giving clients visibility into milestones, deliverables, and next steps.

The result is less duplication, fewer missed details, and faster alignment between design intent and construction execution. In short, Notion lets us spend less time managing information and more time designing and building exceptional spaces.

Notion makes work easier

  • October 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how its a unified workspace that's sooo much easier to use than having a bunch of docs on your desktop or in a Google Drive. It's easy, intuitive, and I love how thr AI is incorporated into the workspace, makin data entry, recall, and general tasks a ton easier. I handle most of my workflows through Notion, and I love how it can handle almost anything I throw at it and keeps it all centralized!
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly the only thing I wish I could do was connect personal accounts as AI connectors. I want to use Notion for work and personal life, so that's a bummer. Other than that I can't think of anything!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion a lot for notetaking in different scenarios. Whether that's with the built in feature or connecting transcripts from apps like Fireflies, it's amazing to keep things in one place!

Using it to store all of the important material related to the company and my role along with connections like Slack allows me to get answers quicker than having to constantly ask questions. That availability is a gamechanger!

I use the AI all the time to generate follow up drafts to calls, log important action items, and more. It makes me a ton more productive!

And it helps me keep track of all of my tasks, projects, and everything in between so nothing slips through yhe cracks, which is gamechanging

What do you dislike about the product?
Quite a bit of a learning curve! It can get pretty complex. Also the fact there’s no Apple Pencil support is a huge loss for me (a student)

Effortlessly Streamlines Personal and Work Life

  • October 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Notion allows me to consolidate my personal and business life seamlessly in one place. The ability to set up different pages and databases is invaluable, as is the new AI feature, which seems like it will be a powerful tool. The way Notion streamlines and organizes my scattered information into one accessible location is fantastic, and knowing I can house my entire life—thoughts, goals, work, personal tasks—in one place makes me want to buy it again.
What do you dislike about the product?
{"I find the initial learning curve to be quite steep. Notion offers a wide array of options and customization features which were overwhelming at first, making it time-consuming to narrow down exactly how I wanted to set things up.","I am looking for better integration with calendars and email services. Notion's current email functionality isn't sufficient for me to transition away from Google Workspace, as it isn't an independent email provider and relies on platforms like Outlook or Gmail."}
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find the product organizes my personal and business information, solving my struggle with scattered data across different platforms by centralizing everything in one place.

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is a great place to keep track of notes and documentation. It works well for creating a repository of solutions, guides, and knowledge.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion is not always the most user friendly tool. It takes some substantial effort to use Notion effectively and more of a power user.

Notion is solving our need to keep documentation in one location that is searchable and able to grow with our company.
