all in one workspace

  • October 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is a great all-in-one app where you can write notes, plan tasks, and manage projects easily. It’s clean, flexible, and perfect for both personal and team use. You can make your own templates, connect other tools, and keep everything organized in one place without switching between apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion can be confusing at first because it has so many features. It sometimes runs slow, especially with large pages or databases. The mobile app isn’t as smooth as the desktop version, and working offline is still limited. It takes time to fully learn how to use everything properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps solve the problem of having too many different apps for notes, tasks, and projects. It brings everything together in one place, making work more organized and easy to manage. For me, it saves time, keeps my ideas clear

Review: Living in Notion — The Promise and the Pain of a Modern Life OS

  • October 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Over the past year, I’ve moved nearly everything into Notion — from meeting notes and knowledge bases to travel plans and even personal finance dashboards. It’s become the backbone of both my professional and personal life.

And that’s where Notion truly shines: it’s not just a productivity tool, it’s a life OS.
The freedom to design your own structure — databases, dashboards, linked views, and automations — gives you total control over how information connects. Once you’ve got it dialed in, the experience feels seamless: your projects, notes, documents, and ideas all exist in one cohesive ecosystem. That depth of customization is hard to match.
What do you dislike about the product?
But that same flexibility is also its biggest drawback.
Getting to that “dialed in” state is painfully complex. Building a truly efficient workspace requires hours (sometimes days) of experimentation, page architecture design, property naming conventions, and relational database logic. For newcomers, it can feel more like configuring a software platform than using a note-taking app.

Then there’s the AI functionality — which, while convenient for basic summaries and content cleanup, feels stuck in 2022-level intelligence. It struggles to understand context beyond a single page, can’t yet draw meaning across linked databases, and too often produces surface-level outputs that don’t take advantage of the rich data structures users have built. In a tool this advanced, the AI should feel like a co-pilot. Right now, it feels more like a helpful intern.

Still, despite those frustrations, I wouldn’t move away from Notion. Once set up, it becomes a beautifully interconnected home for everything that matters — the kind of workspace that grows with you and adapts to how you think.

If you’re willing to invest the setup time, Notion delivers on its promise: a unified system for thinking, working, and living.
Just don’t expect the AI to be quite as clever as the rest of the platform — at least not yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is solving the problem of fragmented information. Before using it, my notes, plans, and reference materials were scattered across documents, emails, and multiple apps. Now, everything—from meeting transcripts and project plans to travel checklists and research—is organized in one structured workspace.

By centralizing my content into Notion, I can connect related information, automate summaries, and create dashboards that give me both detail and context at a glance. This has made me far more efficient and less dependent on switching between tools.

The biggest benefit is clarity and control: I can see the full picture of my work and life in one place, without losing the small details that make it meaningful.

The best of Notion

  • October 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion has some amazing innovative features that prove to be very useful. Things like AI Meeting Notes to help make transcripts quicker and easier and especially useful with summarizing meetings. Notion AI is amazing when it comes to helping organize dashboards and streamline processes. And just having the ability to use databases, tables, charts and integrations among everything else makes it so convenient!
What do you dislike about the product?
If I had to pick something I disliked about Notion it would be the mobile apps, they feel a bit too stripped down and there is a major difference between the iOS app and Android app. If the apps could be better optimized it would be more convenient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion solves the problem of scattered brain, being able to just dump information into it and use Notion AI to help clean it up makes it way less stressful to have thoughts and ideas

What do you like best about the product?
I find it beneficial with the search functions and the built-in AI features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the setup process for Notion confusing. Additionally, the tables in Notion don't work well, which hinders my ability to effectively manage and present data as needed. I believe a cleaner interface would significantly improve my user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find the product beneficial with its search functions and built-in AI features.

Notion is the repository for my entire business!

  • October 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is a gamechanger for my goal of setting up my business to run itself. The the last couple of years, I have been using it to manage tasks, to-dos, projects, customer contacts and messages, SOPs, technical documents, and so much more. I'm currently using Notion AI to help me fill in, finish, or tweak content!
What do you dislike about the product?
It's almost too powerful... finding ways to layout documents and such can sometimes be overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion gives me a single, searchable database that stores all information relevant to our business. Our SOPs, vendor information, technical how-tos, projects, and so much more. Any time an employee needs to ask me a question, I add the information into Notion, so next time they can look it up!

Perfect for list-obsessed ADHD-ers.

  • October 07, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I needed a system better than lists, and Notion provides that. The AI helped me create pages, dropdown menus, toggles, bulletpoint lists and more. Now I can keep my notes, ideas, to-do lists, accomplishments, goals and more all in one place, with neat and simple organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be confusing to use. I am probably using 5% of what I could be because it is a bit complicated. But again, the AI helps a tonnnn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ADHD list messiness. Notion provides organization and SYSTEMS.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the integrated AI the most. I think it is the most powerful future of Notion.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is complicated and not easy yo use. Also it is not flexible the way I like. For example I can't select and copy all contents of a table.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
all my business data and workflow in one place and accessible.

At first I found it hard, then I saw how mind blowingly great the tool is!

What do you like best about the product?
Definitely the "ask AI " to assist me in doing whatever it is I need done, and to get answers from the transcript of a meeting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well, without AI it is absurdly hard to build something from scratch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Note-taking on meetings and lessons - it is helping immensely, as I can't rely solely on my brain for that - and on top of note-taking/ transcribing, it also allows me to ask questions and get clarifications I failed to do during the meeting.

2. Building libraries to manage my materials and evolution. Once I get the right structure, it keeps everything organized
