Enhances Project Management, But Steep Learning Curve

  • November 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Notion for making it easy to communicate with my virtual assistant, ensuring we always know where we stand on each project. It facilitates staying on the same page, which is crucial for effectively managing our real estate projects. This greatly simplifies project management for us, allowing us to keep track and stay organized. Notion's ability to include a living document in our project management files was a major factor that prompted us to switch from our former project manager, Asana. Once I set it up, I love how it functions according to my preferences, and I've been able to customize it by watching many tutorial videos. The platform's capacity to integrate tasks, communications, and progress in such a seamless way is impressive and supports our operational efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm still new to Notion, and the setup is a bit complex. Setting up project management for each project was not easy, and it took some time to figure out how to get it set up. There's a significant learning curve since Notion can do a lot, requiring me to watch many videos to understand how to configure it the way I want it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to organize my projects and communicate with my virtual assistant, making it easy to track our progress and stay aligned.

Great for Organization, Deploying for Project Planning Could Be Smoother

  • November 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion has been a great platform for keeping the "second brain" of our organization organized and available as living documents for all team members. We use documents and databases to keep reference information handy. We keep notes on recurring meetings. I also use notion for inventory and project planning. We have used notion daily over 2.5 years since implementing it, and the information integrated and captured here has grown enormously. It's a lot better than just using a shared cloud storage platform because we can look at our resources in context.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using the project planning is a bit clunky, I wish this worked better and had more template-like behavior for reuse for recurring projects. If notion had a good lab notebook template, we would integrate that as well! I wish Notion had a live team chat feature embedded so we could ask questions and point to answers in our databases in one place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion keeps our group's institutional knowledge organized, available and updated. This means we spend less time digging up the same reference pdf from the web, or email chain for a detail. We keep our group notes and documentation in one place. This saves time and helps me communicate more clearly with my team

I appreciate Notion for its excellent user experience and ease of access, which make it incredibly simple to navigate and use efficiently for my knowledge management needs. The platform's seamless combination of content and database capabilities streamlines my processes. I am thrilled with the AI writing assistant feature, which significantly enhances my productivity and creativity. Moreover, the AI aspect of Notion is something I completely love because it makes content creation and organization effortless. The initial setup was remarkably easy, allowing me to get started quickly without hassle. Overall, Notion's combination of powerful features and user-friendly design supports my daily tasks effectively, making it easy to recommend to others.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel that Notion could benefit from a more visually appealing design. While it functions well, enhancing the aesthetic aspects could make the user experience even better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for knowledge management, leveraging its AI writing assistant and content database to streamline tasks efficiently.

Streamlines Note-Taking with Ease, Minor Improvements Needed

  • November 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find Notion incredibly easy to use, with its simple interface allowing me to get up and running with just a click of a button. I love how it effectively saves me time by efficiently recording and transcribing notes during meetings, ensuring I don’t miss any details when reviewing later. The accuracy of the notes is particularly valuable to me, as it captures what I might overlook. Its integration with Microsoft Teams makes my workflow smoother, enhancing overall productivity. The initial setup of Notion was seamless and straightforward, making it accessible without any hassle or extensive setup process. It's clear that Notion's capability to streamline tasks and improve meeting efficiency is impressive, earning my high recommendation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the notes miss the overall objective and don't notate some of the bigger elements discussed in meetings. There have been instances where discussions about minor changes were captured, but significant, recurring topics were overlooked in the meeting notes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Notion saves time by accurately transcribing meeting notes, ensuring I capture key details even when missed during meetings.

Comprehensive and Versatile Solution

  • November 17, 2025

What do you like best about the product?
I like how comprehensive it is; how much it can be used for! I love the minimalist aesthetic. I really like that the Notion AI can help me create the databases I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Steep learning curve to getting it set up to use it for everything I want to use it for!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm a grant writer and bought an extremely comprehensive Notion Grants Hub that allows me to track every aspect of the grant writing process for my clients, from grant research, funder communications, grant writing, and grant management.

Unmatched Flexibility and Power for Organizing Everything

  • November 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility is what I like best. It ain't just a note app, it's like a building kit for your whole brain. You can make wikis, project trackers, even a lil CRM. The way the databases work, with the rollups and relations, it's super powerful, tho. I love that.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest thing I dislike is the speed. When you have a massive workspace, it can get really laggy. Loading pages on mobile especially is a slow crawl sometimes, which is a pain. And honestly, the search is not the bestest. Tryin' to find an old page often ends up taking way too long.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the "too many tools" problem, simple as that. Before Notion, I was using like three different apps for notes, project stuff, and the team wiki. Now, my notes are linked right to the projects, and the projects are linked to the knowledge base. How it benefits me? I stop wasting time jumping between tabs

Central tool for studies with potential for AI improvements

  • November 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I particularly appreciate that Notion offers a central platform for consolidating my lecture notes, which significantly eases my studies. The ability to ask specific questions to both my notes and general topics through Notion's integrated AI enriches my learning experience and deepens my understanding. Additionally, I find it very useful that I can create meeting notes with transcriptions. This greatly contributes to capturing and making information comprehensible. Finally, setting up Notion was very easy; after a short familiarization period, the system became intuitive to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion AI cannot extract information from screenshots or read PDFs based on their content, which would be very practical for my purposes. Additionally, embedded PDFs always have to be downloaded and saved anew in Notion if, for example, annotations are made.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for the central collection of lecture notes and the AI for explaining concepts and for questions about my notes. It also offers the possibility to create meeting notes with transcription.

Perfect for Structured Notes and Seamless Planning

  • November 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is best for taking structured notes during meetings. It is also good for planning schedule and store ideas.
What do you dislike about the product?
When exporting pages into other formats it breaks the layout.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps our team to maintain a shared knowledge base, onboarding guides and project documentation. It helps me to stay productive.

My go-to tool for organizing work across teams

  • November 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is flexible without feeling complicated. I can build pages, tables, and simple systems that match how I think and work. It is easy to reorganize information, link related docs, and keep everything accessible to the team. The interface is clean, and it scales well as projects grow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Large pages with heavy databases can feel slow at times. Search could also surface results more predictably. These are small issues in the bigger picture.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion gives me one place to organize projects, plans, and documentation instead of spreading everything across different tools. It helps keep information consistent, makes collaboration easier, and cuts down on time spent searching for the latest version of something. It also adapts well as priorities shift, which makes it useful for both quick planning and long-term structure.
