I use Notion for both personal and professional projects, and I find it exceptionally useful for organizing my life systematically. I love the smooth synchronization feature, which ensures that any updates I make on my phone instantly reflect on my desktop or laptop versions. This seamless integration across devices makes managing my data straightforward and hassle-free. Notion's high customizability stands out as my favorite feature, allowing me to tailor headings and bullet points to fit my needs perfectly. What do you dislike about the product?
I find the user interface of Notion initially quite complex, which can confuse new users. The experience can be heavy due to its high level of customization and the numerous options available. This complexity can lead to confusion about how to create projects and utilize various features effectively. Additionally, during the initial setup of Notion, I found the process to be quite complex and difficult.

I love using Notion for my TTRPG SAAS business and planning because it provides an intuitive, human-facing view of my work and schedule. The aesthetic and complexity of Notion are impressive, and it can be utilized for both business and organization, as well as a multitude of other tasks. The powerful AI tools enhance my experience significantly; I appreciate having AI agents, such as Opus and Sonnet, which help me plan and reflect thoughts intelligently across my workspace. Notion's versatility is evident through its seamless integration with tools like Python, Make.com, Discord, Gmail, GitHub, Google Drive, and my custom integrations. My recommendation level for Notion is extraordinarily high, as I would rate it a perfect 10 out of 10 for my colleagues and friends, reflecting my enthusiasm and satisfaction with the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the current state of the permissions in Notion. It would be beneficial if the permissions could be more customizable. Currently, the permissions structure is top-down, and I would appreciate having the capability to edit content available for free or at the lowest tier. Additionally, it would be great to have various ways for permissions to cascade, such as upside down, lateral, or vertical.

nothing for now but i would love if notion can bring up writing option in iPads - like hand written notes

What do you like best about the product?
Notion has become like my secondary brain. I can quickly check whether I’ve completed a task or see what’s coming up just by glancing at it for a second. The built-in features like pre-made templates let me create projects or brainstorm with a single click, and the document hub keeps everything organized. I also love how each page has a calendar view so I can easily track all my tasks. Plus, the in-built AI helps me create notes, scripts, and much more. Even in the free version, all these features are available without paying. I use Notion every day, and it genuinely helps me work better.
What do you dislike about the product?
The issue is that it has plenty of features, so I can’t always find things easily. The user interface is also quite complicated for a new user. If I accidentally delete something, I often can’t undo it, which is very irritating. And the AI features sometimes give wrong information, so they really need to improve that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It definitely saves my time and gives me peace of mind. When I use Notion, I always know what to do next without overthinking. My work has become more organized after using it, and it syncs seamlessly with my phone if I update something on my phone, it updates on my PC as well. It saves my time and helps me work better.

Moreover, the ease of setting up Notion, thanks to the comprehensive tutorials, made the transition smooth and intuitive for me.

I have multiple workspaces, and it would be beneficial if it was more cohesive, allowing me to manage them under one account without having to pay for several workspaces. Having all my workspaces combined into the one I pay for would be ideal.

The software's capability to tie different pieces together using databases is invaluable for my productivity, even though the database display could use some improvement, particularly when working with images. I truly appreciate Notion's integration with tools like Linear, Cursor, Slack, and having the possibility to use Claude and ChatGPT alongside it. Overall, Notion complements other products I use extensively, and I would highly recommend it to others, scoring it a perfect 10 out of 10.

I find working with databases in Notion to be a bit annoying, as displaying information from them can be tricky. For instance, when an image is placed in a cell within a database, it becomes difficult to enlarge it sufficiently for others to view it comfortably in a grid, which is often necessary for design feedback. Moreover, I feel that the multipurpose connections could further improve to facilitate easier feedback collection directly from Slack or Linear.

What do you dislike about the product?
Breadcrumbs sometimes cause me headaches, especially when building complex systems with nested pages. Navigation can become confusing because breadcrumbs do not always maintain the context of how I am navigating. For instance, when opening a page inside an inline database view, using the breadcrumbs to navigate back might land me in the original database page instead of where I expect to be. This can be confusing and poses issues related to security as well.
