Useful for big orgs, steep learning curve
What do you like best about the product?
Easily searchable and customizable- we can build pages in formats to address whatever we need
What do you dislike about the product?
Steep learning curve - it takes awhile to get all the formatting things figured out and it's not an immediate ease of use like with microsoft onenote

It's easy to search a huge range of notes/pages and previous documentation and find easy, summarizable answers

What do you like best about the product?
Its super powerful to be able to prompt notion AI with any question about my business. It will not only search my Notion instance, but also other connected data sources. Its so easy to use and it is always my first place to ask a question, rather than asking a colleague.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can take a while to query data sources outside of notion, like Google Drive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documentation and knowledge base are super powerful and I am using it everyday.

What do you like best about the product?
After using Notion for a couple of years now, I can confidently say it's been a game-changer for my academic work, research organization, and personal life. The platform's flexibility in creating interconnected pages and databases has revolutionized how I manage my projects and course materials.
The ability to embed content, link between pages, and create hierarchical structures makes it incredibly efficient for managing complex projects. I particularly appreciate how easy it is to transform loose notes into structured databases, and how seamlessly you can cross-reference information across different pages.
For academics and researchers, Notion's collaborative features are invaluable. You can easily share specific pages with colleagues or students while maintaining privacy for your other content. The platform's clean, minimalist interface reduces distractions while still offering powerful organizational tools when you need them. This past semester, I used notion exclusively for sharing course content, instructions, and tutorials with my students.

What do you dislike about the product?
The platform's export options, while adequate for basic needs, could be expanded to support more file formats and maintain better formatting fidelity. For academic work specifically, better integration with citation management tools and improved formatting options for academic writing would be valuable additions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion AI to quickly summarize academic journal articles, and to highlight the important information. The ability to quickly and easily generate work flow tutorials that can be shared with learners saves me time. The databasing abilities have made project management so much easier.
Great tool, UI takes some getting used to
What do you like best about the product?
Notion AI is really helpful, allowing you to find the information you need with a quick ChatGPT like search experience. It is a fantastic data repository of information.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is just not super intuitive.Even when your search results come up, the ability to launch into documents is not simple.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me being in Sales, this is a way to gather information in a quick summary of our prospects before we decide on sales tactics to use for our meetings. We also use NotionAI to develop sample email cadences based on information that NotionAI collects for us in a matter of seconds vs. hours of manual searches.
Notion AI makes summarizing my thoughts a snap
What do you like best about the product?
I'm not a notetaker or careful planner by nature but Notion's AI gives the opportunity to produce thoughtful and detailed documents that I can share with my team. Being able to roughly sketch out what I want to express and have the Notion do the work of filling in the scaffolding has made me more productive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I often find navigation and editing to be more difficult than I want them to be. I often feel that things aren't as intuitive as they could be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can write technical documents, but I find a better use of my time is to do the planning and architecting of the subject of the document. Being able to feed in a rough plan to Notion and have it produce a readable and well-edited document is a game changer for my ability to get new ideas out to my team.
Comprehensive team tool
What do you like best about the product?
Notion provides a vast variety of tools for our team to be able to track, manage, and collab on projects. It's an all-in-one place to keep our SOP's, internal documents, and more. We utilize it daily and find it easy to use across different platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
In terms of downsides, there is definitely a bit of a learning curve but the AI feature helps and once you learn the basics, its pretty intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion has solved our challenge of internal documents and tracking software being spread out over different platforms, it is convenient to have it all in one place.

What do you like best about the product?
Inline databases are my favourite feature! I like to create docs with a bunch of sub-sections, but also keep a bird's eye view of post-production. In-line databases are the perfect solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly there's not a lot I don't like about Notion. If I had to be picky I would say that I wish I could have a split view within individual days on a calendar with to dos and scheduled events.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is allowing multiple people on our teams to maintain oversight on big projects and collaborate inside of docs. It's also keeping my social content calendar visible to the org.

Performance can lag on pages with heavy embeds or large databases, especially on mobile devices. Some advanced database functions (like formulas and rollups) have a steeper learning curve than in traditional spreadsheet tools. Finally, offline support is limited, so you’ll need a reliable connection to make the most of the app.

Tool Sprawl & Context Switching → Notion unifies notes, tasks, wikis and databases in one workspace, so you spend less time hopping between apps and more time getting work done.

Notion AI for Operations
What do you like best about the product?
It helps create documentation easily which is always the most arduous and least fun part of working in Operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
The layout with all the fields and section of documentation is sometimes confusing for new users. It is also complicated with structuring your projects and making sure all the documentations/tasks are nested correclty

Creating documentation that summarizes the foundational setup of the cloud software ecosystem at my company.
