Versatile Tool for Startups, Seamless with AI and Calendars
What do you like best about the product?
I use Notion for everything from starting up from scratch to building upscale, including data handling and managing documents, backlogs, marketing events, and more. Notion AI is especially helpful for building up backlogs and databases from scratch. I appreciate the ease of communicating with my team and assigning tasks promptly, with everything integrated into the Notion calendar, which has effectively replaced Google Calendar for us. I love the meeting AI feature as it records every meeting and provides a summary and next steps, which is particularly beneficial for important meetings. Keeping transcripts and summaries within the Notion workspace makes it easy to track and organize my conversations with important contacts. The interface is something I enjoy, and setting up Notion was very easy with clear instructions. I also like that Notion is linked to other tools like Slack, Drive, and Canva.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion constantly gives us updates every single day, which is the only annoying part about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for everything from startup needs, data handling, and managing backlogs to marketing events. It simplifies team communication and task assignment. The meetings AI records and summarizes meetings, making follow-ups easy. Notion's calendar integration enhances organization, replacing my need for Google Calendar.
Notion’s Flexible Databases Power Scalable Docs and Workflows
What do you like best about the product?
Notion’s flexibility and relational databases make it easy to build scalable documentation, workflows, and operating models all in one place. It adapts well as teams and processes evolve. Notion AI has come a LONG way since the beginning and really saves the day when working across multiple areas and wanting to build various things to scale.
What do you dislike about the product?
With flexibility comes complexity. It’s easy to overbuild or create inconsistent structures. There’s also a learning curve for advanced database relationships and formulas. Some basic reporting and permission controls still feel limited. Notion Calendar is disappointing. I would like to create Calendar tasks, appointments, calls etc that connect with notion and google calendar, connect to a meeting instance, house the meeting agenda, AI notes etc. Right now they seemingly operate independently - so if it's set up in google calendar, I don't have the agenda connected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps us centralize documentation, workflows, and operating models into a single source of truth, reducing fragmentation, improving cross-functional alignment, and enabling teams to execute more consistently as we scale. Before we had tools across many different products - with me always keeping everything in Notion. Notions flexibility and AI have helped convinced the internal team to move everything here.
Powerful Features with a Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
I use Notion primarily for organizing my personal life and projects. It's really helping me keep my life organized, especially with my side business projects. I love being able to ask questions of the Notion AI about different ideas or issues. The note-taking capabilities are fantastic, allowing me to easily add notes to refer to later, and I love how these integrate with Notion AI to ensure nothing gets forgotten. Managing to-do lists and keeping everyone on track has been very useful. I've noticed that Notion is leaps and bounds ahead of most platforms I've tried before, especially for getting out of spreadsheets for tracking everything.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a complex platform that takes time to get your hands around. Learning the system has been a challenge and one I am still working through but so far the effort has been worth it and I think once the pieces are in place it will be a system I will be able to use well into the future. Notion has done a good job at future proofing itself in that way from my perspective. There are also loads of resources available whether through YouTube tutorials or just quick searches to find ways to accomplish what you're trying to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to organize information, manage personal and family tasks, and keep track of to-do lists. I appreciate the note-taking capabilities and Notion AI, which helps ensure tasks don't get forgotten.
Intuitive, Highly Customizable, Perfect for Personalization
What do you like best about the product?
I really love how customizable Notion is. It's incredibly malleable and easy to personalize, whether it's changing colors, photos, or formatting. I can easily adjust it to fit what I'm working on without needing insane technical prowess. The templates are also incredible, having so many at my fingertips is really beneficial. I find it easy to craft exactly what I have in mind with Notion, without needing to use next-level technical skills. Everything is clear and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel that perhaps there could be a variety of fonts. Although I'm quite happy with using my sans serif font, I've definitely thought about it before. I would like the databases to be a little more intuitive. For example, I've created my own database which lists solo ingredients and their fiber and protein content. I'd like to almost drag and drop to build meal planners, but it's quite impossible with the current interface. It's either a very bare table that involves no technicality, like it's not a database, just the inline tables, or databases that don't really work within themselves. Just a little more customizable and a little more integrated with each other would be nice. I'd also like to link it to Apple Calendar, but it's not available as far as I know.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find that Notion is extremely malleable and easy to customize, allowing me to change it based on whatever I'm working on without needing deep technical skills. All the tools I need are readily available.
Effortless Setup, Powerful AI Features
What do you like best about the product?
I really like Notion AI for its ease of use, multiple AI models, and response clarity. It's also really easy to set up.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing right now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps with project management, productivity, task tracking, and AI generation. I like its ease of use and the clarity from multiple AI models.
Streamlined Client Collaboration with Customizable Simplicity
What do you like best about the product?
I like Notion's ease of use and the simplicity of its environment. It's very easy to use, and I appreciate that when I share pages with clients, they can access them effortlessly without any issues. I also like the block system; once you understand how it works, it's pretty easy to use. The functionality is good overall, and the price point is decent. When using it with others, it doesn't require a lot of training, which is a plus. Additionally, I like that Notion serves as a front-facing portal for clients, working a lot better and cleaner, and it requires less admin time. It's great that we can connect everything through Google Drive without needing separate backups or websites.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there could be a slight improvement in the sharing capabilities. Sometimes clients will have issues when a page is shared with them. Also, when it comes to having a parent page and sub pages, I find it tricky because I only want to share certain sub pages at times. I'd love an easy function to lock and unlock specific sub pages for clients' visibility. Also, there was a bit of a learning curve at first, but it wasn't overly difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion as a mainframe location where clients can easily access information. It's simple to build out and allows me to embed links without needing complex or expensive software. It acts as a front-facing portal for clients, reducing admin time.
