The best solution is the one you can build
What do you like best about the product?
That you can customize and create exactly what you need. Notion gives you so many tools (and keeps adding more) to create the exact solution for your needs. It has everything from a simple writing app to a full system for creating a second brain, a CMR, or even a collaboration tool for your business with endless possibilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion has a sort of steep learning curve. And I guess that is where it resides its power. You need to tinker and try a lot to get the best of it, which can be frustrating. The good thing is there an evergrowing community and plenty of people talking about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For starters, Notion is my second brain. This is where I have created a system to combine my personal and professional life. I can have all the Areas of my life in order, develop Projects for each of them and assign them Tasks and Resources. I also have a habit tracker, a library of grabbed links from the internet, and there are always many ideas on how to do more. Recently, it has been so helpful in helping me write content for some courses I am creating. I am highly impressed with how it manages translating and content creation in Spanish.
Notion AI frees up my time to focus on more profitable tasks
What do you like best about the product?
The new Notion AI assistant has been a game changer for me, allowing me to save hours of work by crafting summaries and follow-up emails to potential clients and my team. Notion AI helps me get unavoidable admin work done more quickly, freeing me up to focus on high-level development work (that's also more profitable!). That’s where I thrive, and Notion AI makes it more possible.
I am also keeping a robust habit tracker and energy log. Notion AI's ability to review the data and reflection notes, and then report on key themes, patterns and insights, is amazing. I have made changes in my habits based on the reports I've run, acheiving significant benefits I couldn't have seen otherwise.

What do you dislike about the product?
My most significant downside is not being able to highlight number cells in a database and see a quick total like you can in other spreadsheet apps. It only allows you to see totals from an entire database or calculations based on how you group the view. So, you can do it. It just takes more steps than I prefer.
Another limitation is the inability to bulk change the due dates of tasks and milestones relative to one another. I would like to be able to link the due dates of a set of related tasks, so that if one date changes, it automatically affects the rest of the related tasks. Currently, this has to be done manually as there is no automated way to accomplish this. (Unless there is a formula that can do this that I'm not aware of!)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion solves two problems for me. The first is customizing my productivity and knowledge management to work the way I think. The second is to have a centralized place to manage productivity and knowledge for my team (and family!). Overall, this has saved me time and allowed me to focus on more creative and profitable projects. Also, it's just so clean, simple and beautiful to work with. No clutter. No overwhelm.
Second Brain with A Twist
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Notion for 5+ years now, and have been using it as my second brain for both personal and professional. On the business side, I am a UX designer, and one thing that I love to do is post all of my secondary and primary research and transcripts from user interviews, and then ask Notion to help me tweeze out the key pain points/ issues/ benefits etc. I also love the community, the shared templates, and the continuous improvements being brought into the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up pages and linking data based can be a bit tricky. I'd love if I could not only ask the AI to help me with written content, but also with page setups. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, but it would be great if the tool was intuitive in that way where I could say what I'm trying to track or create, and it could suggest page layouts with linked subpages and databases or build tables for me and then provide a quick tutorial or explanation on how to navigate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion acts as my planner, notebook, and sticky notes, all wrapped into one. It's a digital note taker that is with me wherever I go. The AI features have helped with my grammar and brainstorming, summarizing text, and tweezing out information or key points out of complex compiling of notes.
Notion provides a great, customizable workspace that is further improved by the integration of AI.
What do you like best about the product?
The best aspect of Notion now is its integration of AI. Being able to work on a document of my own, use AI assistance, and edit the output as I please is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Of course, implementation of AI on Notion is in its beginnings, so there are some minor issues in terms of the nature of the AI. The following issues may just come down to the vendor, but the AI responses appear very rigid, even after prompts requesting for specific replies (such as taking a more conversational tone or being concise). Additionally, I would prefer if I could toggle whether my prompt is saved to the document; this would make documents that use AI easier to navigate. My current workaround is copying my prompt before submitting it and pasting it over the response, which is manageable but takes away from creative flow at times. I understand there is a history of previous prompts when typing a prompt in a well-used document, but I think keeping the prompt saved statically as an option would help me a lot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One significant problem Notion has solved for me is my issue with brainstorming. It's much easier to write ideas on a document and get a response immediately rather than writing something and having to think about it alone. Additionally, I find it better than speaking with another person, as the importance for me isn't about critique but instead generating an outline without getting bogged down with details. Additionally, when working on definition-based assignments, the knowledge base of Notion's AI helped me form simple definitions of terms; this helped me more than going online and searching each term to find rather obtuse definitions.
My External Brain Got a New Brain
What do you like best about the product?
I've used notion for several years to store notes, journal, and keep track of my goals and daily tasks. In terms of linking ideas and creating systems for a life OS, there really is no comparison.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downside to Notion that immediately comes to mind is the lack of offline storage. I really would love to continue working offline when I'm not around wifi.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I produce a lot of content, keep my standard operating procedures, use notion for goal and project management, and keep all of my notes inside of Notion. Adding AI to the mix has taken Notion to an entirely new level where I can quickly do outlines, keyword research, article research, and brainstorm inside of the app at blazing-fast speeds.
Using Notion with ChatGPT functions
What do you like best about the product?
I love organizing my to do lists and creating case studies that look good, then posting them to web with fruition.
What do you dislike about the product?
That I have to use external tools (fruition, cloudfare) to host my notion doc as a proper website, I would pay for this feature to be intergrated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion allows me to write documentation rapidly and to organize my life, solving the problem of being a slow writer.
Notion has been a HUGE help for me!
What do you like best about the product?
Notion AI has been huge in helping write content. As someone who is constantly sending emails and writing blog content it's been a huge help in proof reading and even improving my writing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say I dislike much about Notion much, from organizing my projects to AI helping my writing. I have not tried it yet, but soon I'll be using the AI to help write excel macros, so the jury is still out on how well it can do that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me keep all of my projects organized, helps me write better blog content, and helps me stay productive and on track.
Reliable and versatile ai software
What do you like best about the product?
Note summary, easy to write prompts, easy-to-read formatting, separate saveable documents
What do you dislike about the product?
It crashes sometimes and is sometimes slow
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Summarising information for me to write into articles
Legitimately life changing
What do you like best about the product?
I have been doing a very intense coding course, and the organisers recommended Notion as a notes taking app - and with just that alone Notion is a different world from trying to make everything look decent on a word processor.
But with the AI feature, it has been absolutely unbelievable in terms of how helpful it's been. I am actually grateful to have this opportunity to thank you, because I am not sure whether I would be passing the course without it.
I am quite aggressively neurodivergent (ADHD, autism) and usually I am scrambling to take notes in a way that will make sense to me later, while simultaneously listening to the teacher. But with the Notion ai I can just garble whatever garbage sentences come out, highlight and tell it to fix it, and it fixes it!! And expands on it??! And corrects my mistakes??
Also, usually for coding issues / information I have to search online. Which I find horrific lately, I can never find the info I need easily and it's always confusing. When this happens, I can very easily spiral into confusion and upset. But I can now just ask the AI and it tells me. I almost cried the first time it did that and I wish I was joking - but it has saved me so much stress just from that alone. Also the 'simplify language' feature is straight up genius - whoever did that, on behalf of every autistic person in the world trying to learn a new skill, THANK YOU!
It also helps with the code itself - although it isn't perfect (which is quite reassuring actually, given the job I'm trying to train for haha). But it will give me like some simple blank syntax and examples and explain how they work.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the AI goes beyond the scope of what I am asking it, and either messes up the formatting of my file (like when I asked for a step by step for building an API, and then asked it to expand on one step, it added all the steps for making an API again inside of the new info about that step and it got a bit messy and confusing)
Or it will do things like adding info or changing the wording of what I have pasted in - when all I had asked it to do was tidy up the formatting.

I have actually used notion for my part time job, to write linkedin messages and emails to use for cold calling. In total it probably saved me about a day of work. It's great that you can just pump information in and it'll spit it out again in a useable format.
I also used it to write the copy for my friends website that I was making, and it was great. Especially the tool to change the tone - it meant I could get the information across in a way that felt like it represented her. I guess you would call that brand voice?
As an ND person I often get brain paralysis and it's a bit insane how much it has been helping to be honest. Usually I would get to a point where I would go blank, and then I'd spiral because I wouldn't be able to get past it. But now I can just ask the AI to write the thing, or I can ask it the question that made my brain freeze in the first place and before I know it I'm going again.

Extremely happy with Notion's AI and the app in genera
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to completely organise my work, not only in the case of a singular project but creating "little offices" on every page.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the UI and UX are decent I feel like there should be more text formatting options + how the page is viewed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I started using the AI a lot. Seems like a good deal since just for little extra it gives you way more than other free AIs
