Notion is great!

  • March 28, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Notion is its flexibility while being aesthetically pleasing. As someone with a short attention span, Notion allows me to make my work fun while pushing the limits of my creativity and skills.
What do you dislike about the product?
While I love many of the integration capabilities Notion has now, they can be improved and expanded on because I had to turn into a mini coder just to figure out some of these integrations that aren't provided (ex. notion/Zotero)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem it has solved is creating a space for my academic writing and task management, and it has also made my work projects easier to keep track of where I can make a workspace for each project.

My go-to spot for storing, organizing, and publishing information!

What do you like best about the product?
I love the way that everything I create flows together, and I can be as organized or as unorganized as I want to be. I can truly use it as a second brain, and it's so helpful to me!
What do you dislike about the product?
One current issue I have is that Notion doesn't yet support audio control or audio recording--a big part of my brainstorming is through talking out loud, and I'd love to do that right inside of Notion, especially when paired with Notion AI!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me categorize my life into separate areas so I can store notes, projects, and ideas in different places that I can easily find, access, and modify. I have separate spaces for my work, personal life, creative projects, study and research, etc.

My life's notes in one place

What do you like best about the product?
I am a professor and enjoy using Notion to prepare my class notes. I write most of my ideas down and then use the AI to expand on that knowledge. Furthermore, I organize anything I need for the class such as group work or grading.

I use this for my daily life as well. It helps me keep track of which jobs I applied for and all the concerts I attended.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the learning curve is a bit steep. There are so many cool features and aspects of the site that seem useful and helpful but I don't know how to use them. I guess it's a bit of "learn as you go" since I know how to use the features I need well but not the features I don't use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't have a lot of detail in my presentations/speeches. I'm very matter of fact and struggle to reach the length requirements for many tasks (such as hour and a half lectures) the AI tool helps me expand on my ideas and adds necessary details that I may not have previously had.

Great for writing notes and tracking tasks

What do you like best about the product?
I really like that Notion has cool tools and functions to help you write notes. The New AI writing tool has been really helpful to explain concepts and write example code for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
The things I don't like about Notion is it can be hard to learn to use more complex functions - you would need to look at tutorials, so feels less intuitive and easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is helping me with task trakcing - I have a to do list that creates reminders for task tracking. Also found it really useful for managing personal coding projects, where I can make a sub page to write out my plan whilst using it in a database to help with project tracking.

University study

What do you like best about the product?
The AI integration helps me to digest topics I am studying, I ask it to summarise my notes or create tables breaking down information. I also struggle to articulate sometimes so the write feature helps.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the AI feature can be a little narrow if I am trying to use it to draw insights it can be repetitive. It would also be helpful to have it one day work with images.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing myself, and my thoughts, and recalling information without searching through endless notes. Also having it in one place is really important as I don't like switching through different apps.

Great AI software with countless applications

  • March 28, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love Notion as a notetaking and just general database application. However, as of late, I've been using it's AI software as a way for me to help with research for school assignments and for generally helping me in my life.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that it's general lack of integration with other applications is it's main issue. Don't really have any gripes with the AI part of the software though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. It helps me research for my school assignments quickly and effectively.
2. It helps me organise my life.
3. It helps me organise me as a Basketball coach and as a way to input stats etc.

Amazing for keeping me organized.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that each page is free form and I can customize anything from meeting notes to client portals before exporting them to beautiful PDFS. Best value software I have ever had.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some learning curve with getting started and it's not obvious how to save a formatted page as a template. It can be overwhelming if you're not used to full control of your documents. There are a LOT of features, Which is awesome but, a lot to wrap your head around all at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love that I can quickly link to drive files, capture web pages and sync all of my data in one place.
If I write brief notes on a topic from a meeting I want to revisit I can quickly reframe this from a client perspective or add additional information from AI.
Because the AI relies mostly on the internal documentation from the notes I provide it's sometimes a little hit and miss with answering but all in the software is a beautiful and affordable edition to my workflow.

An absolute game changer for project management across teams

What do you like best about the product?
I love how we can make Kanban Boards and really customize every single aspect to exactly what we need.

I use Notion both as a freelancer, and as part of a small team with members in Japan, the United States, and Spain. We're all able to easily collaborate, save notes, and track progress on our various projects, and I use Notion every single day.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is a bit steep, and if you aren't good with using tables, spreadsheets, etc... it may difficult to build the exact template and Notion setup you're looking for. Plenty of templates help, but it's tough to learn at first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With writing, my team often has a ton of ideas bouncing around, including emails, social media posts, YouTube videos, and podcast ideas. Notion allows us to quickly sort by project type, and status - draft, in editing, completed, delivered, etc... so at any time, anyone can login and check the status of things, vs. chasing each other down over email.

Notion AI becomes an everyday essential

What do you like best about the product?
Powerful productivity app where I develop and keep track of my personal and professional notes, tasks and project items. It's compatible with desktop and mobile environments and many different applications, which makes it extremely useful and portable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have experienced a couple of slowing down and page crashes. System stability is definitely a major concern I have with Notion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am mostly using Notion AI recently, which has helped me generate initial ideas around a specific topic. I also use it to refine my writing, spelling and grammar and sorts like that. Generally, it helps improve my productivity and creativity efficiency.

Notion AI Review

  • March 28, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One thing that stands out to me is the flexibility it offers. Notion is incredibly customizable, allowing me to tailor it to my specific needs and preferences. Whether I'm creating a project management dashboard, taking notes for a meeting, or organizing my personal to-do list, Notion can adapt to any situation.

Another thing I love about Notion is its collaboration features. It makes it easy to work with colleagues or friends in real-time, allowing us to easily share ideas and work together on the same project. Plus, the ability to leave comments and tag team members makes it easy to communicate within the app, reducing the need for constant email exchanges.

Finally, I appreciate the aesthetics of Notion. It has a clean and modern design that makes it enjoyable to use. It's not cluttered with unnecessary features or distracting elements, which allows me to focus on the task at hand.

Overall, I think Notion is an excellent tool for anyone looking to streamline their work processes and increase productivity. It's flexible, collaborative, and aesthetically pleasing, making it a pleasure to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
While there isn't much that I dislike about Notion, there are a couple of areas where it could improve. For example, sometimes the sheer number of customization options can be overwhelming, especially for new users. However, this is a testament to how versatile Notion is and the flexibility it offers. Once you get the hang of it, the customization options become a powerful tool for tailoring Notion to your specific needs.

Another area where Notion could improve is with its mobile app. While the app is functional, it's not as fully featured as the desktop version, and some features may not be available. However, Notion is constantly updating its app, and I have no doubt that it will continue to improve in the future.

Overall, these minor issues do not detract from the fact that Notion is an incredibly powerful and useful tool. It's easy to see why so many people have embraced it as a way to streamline their work processes and boost productivity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I recently started using Notion AI to organize my work, and I must say, it's been a game-changer. The best part is how well it connects to other apps, allowing me to easily bring in information from various sources. Whether it's text, charts, or other data, Notion AI seamlessly integrates everything, making it easy to access the information I need.

But what really blew me away is the grammar correction feature. As someone who takes a lot of meeting notes and sends a lot of emails, this feature has been a lifesaver. It's amazing how it catches even the most subtle mistakes and ensures that I present myself professionally in all situations.

Overall, Notion AI has been incredibly helpful in boosting my productivity. It's definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a tool that's both powerful and easy to use.
