A place to keep information organized
What do you like best about the product?
Clearcut structure of page layouts, auto suggestions, comments, tagging and emoji/banners. Also, when building databases, custom views are helpful as well as linking to various objects saved in other places.
What do you dislike about the product?
The data table view can be laggy when selecting different cells. Need to click out of a cell to scroll the page. In comparison, google sheets seem to be more performant when comparing table structures.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides a space to categorize, record, discuss and safe-keep various information. Its main benefit is saving time when looking up and referencing multiple data.
The first projectmanagement tool EVER that I keep using, for business as well as personal.
What do you like best about the product?
What I love most is the extensive diversity of options to use Notion (from personal knowledge bases to project management) without being heavily priced. The team also keeps improving so it keeps getting better and better. Also the possibility to co-create within the workspaces with others is so easy!
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion says what it does and does it well, and they should keep it that way. But, if there's one issue, I would say that the multiple options to give viewing and editing rights, sometimes makes it confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me solve my need of having a project management tool that is easy to set up, easy to use and share with multiple people, and gives me enough options to personalize my needs.
So simple to start using, Impressively powerful to grow into
What do you like best about the product?
Notion takes only a few hours to get comfortable with at the basic level. It's intuitive to start using, and has familiar features for creating, editing and sharing content with colleagues/partners. But as you continue to work with it, and want more features, the well-designed database paradigm provides so much powerful functionality, it's amazing all the use cases that can be easily supported with a little learning and experimentation. The tutorials are wonderful, and support staff is also very helpful and responsive. A few random things I like:
- Folder structure allows shortcuts so that content can be reached from multiple places
- Search works so well
- Database syncing between multiple views is great
- Templates are so powerful for easily creating new meeting notes, design docs, etc.
- Dynamic Time and date in titles/text (i.e. next tuesday, today, etc)
- Code highlighting blocks

What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is very usable, but sometimes gets cluttered, or I lose track of where I am or can't figure out how to get back. With the multi-pane view, it feels a little 1990 with multiple levels of scrollbars, etc.
Sometimes it's hard to access the scrollbar (at least on Mac) because the "resize" cursor takes over.
It just feels like the multi-pane aspect of the UI could use a little polish.

I work at a consultancy and use Notion at both my employer and my client for various purposes including:
- Managing/documenting career goals
- Planning meetings and recording meeting notes
- Onboarding/Product documentation (knowledgebase)
- Brainstorming and prioritizing internal initiatives (suggestion box)
- Company Roster
It's so nice to be able to use (and search!) the same tool for all of these purposes. The interface is familiar, it's easy to link things together, and any time we think about something else we'd like to be doing in Notion, it's usually possible without too much custom work. I haven't used the AI yet, but it is definitely an exciting aspect for various use cases.

What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is a bit steep for newcomers, especially with the use of markdown and the nested pages an databases. You definetly have to commit a bit of time to get to know the bits and pieces, but once done, you'll have an amazing tool at hand.

As a first time starter, it can be intimidating to get to know all the features of the program running. A user guide with more details would be highly useful in this product. Great product nonetheless!

Notion

The flexibility of it brings to project/task/anything management. The entire community is creative and can serve as a solution for many businesses and personal cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a lack of integration with core business software like Salesforce, which limits its ease of use across a full work tech stack. Some important functions like full user analytics are also limited to enterprise plans.

We developed it as a worldwide knowledge base for all staff to get insights. We also modified it as a PM tool for many internal teams!
