Collaborative workspaces have unified project roadmaps and knowledge tracking while reducing communication gaps

  • November 28, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Notion is project management and knowledge tracking. For project management and knowledge tracking, we mostly use it for roadmaps. In a typical workflow, we assign things that need to be done using Notion for roadmaps, and since it is collaborative, anyone can come and update those tasks.Knowledge tracking is also a major thing for us. When we do knowledge tracking in Notion, we make sure that everyone can come and collaboratively add to what is already existing and ensure it is always up to date.

How has it helped my organization?

Notion has impacted my organization positively by allowing us to do things faster without communication gaps related to knowledge and tribal knowledge.Notion has reduced the number of back-and-forth communications between the team by at least three times. The tribal knowledge that we had has considerably reduced because people can collaboratively update the content and ensure that everything is up to date.

What is most valuable?

The best features Notion offers are collaboration and team collaboration. What stands out to me about the collaboration features is sharing knowledge. More than real-time editing, it is that people who know things can modify content accordingly so that things will always be up to date. One more thing I would add about the features is the integrations. We use Slack, which is integrated, and our Git notifications are integrated to Notion, so we can keep track of everything in a single place.

What needs improvement?

Overall, Notion is doing its purpose well. One thing I may add is that it would be great if Notion had a team chat within the tool itself.A chat function within Notion would be great and would help collaboration to be even better.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Notion for almost three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Notion is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Notion is heavily scalable, and we did not have a problem with scalability at all.

How are customer service and support?

Customer support for Notion is great.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Negative

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Before Notion, we used Jira to manage our project management and Confluence for knowledge management. We switched to Notion because it was far easier, simple, and highly customizable.

How was the initial setup?

I purchased Notion through the AWS marketplace.

What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment in terms of time saved. I don't have a specific metric, but definitely a significant amount of time has been saved, at least two times over.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing was fair.

What other advice do I have?

My advice for others looking into using Notion is that if you want a tool that helps you with many things in a single place, that is extremely simplified and heavily customizable where creativity has no limitation, Notion is the tool that helps you with everything. I have given this review a rating of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

I love how Notion streamlines my work, making timelines efficient and allowing for automation and consolidation of software to achieve peak collaboration. The AI email function is a standout feature, enabling me to cut down the time spent on drafting messages by prompting it with a general response, which it then crafts into a polished message using context clues. This significantly boosts my daily productivity. I also enjoy using pages for coordinating and collaborating with peers on projects. • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Notion consolidates a wealth of information about films and actors in one central location, making it incredibly easy to access and extract necessary details efficiently. The Easy UI stands out significantly for me; unlike Excel, Notion allows me to effortlessly create options, dropdown menus, and complex lists, all of which can be tailored precisely to present diverse information as needed. Additionally, the chat feature is a fantastic addition, providing a seamless communication experience. The initial setup of Notion was straightforward, which made transitioning to this tool hassle-free.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am frustrated that Notion sometimes loses its format when exporting, which can disrupt how my information appears once taken out of the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to streamline casting tracking, organizing film and actor information in one accessible place with customizable options and dropdowns, unlike Excel.

A solid tool, but it could be cheaper

  • November 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is a really solid notebook and organization tool. I especially like its flexibility - I can create databases, documents, tables, and organize them as I wish. The interface is intuitive, and the templates are very useful for getting started. Synchronization between devices works seamlessly. It's truly a versatile tool for work.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main problem is the price. For individual users or small businesses, the Notion plan can be expensive compared to the competition. The second issue is the learning curve - advanced features can be difficult for beginners. Sometimes the mobile app works slower than the web version. There is also a lack of faster options for importing data from other systems, which makes migration difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me solve the problem of information fragmentation. I have everything in one place - notes, projects, task lists, and databases. This saves me time searching for data and allows me to focus on actual work. For my business, this means better organization and greater team efficiency. I can also share databases with others, which facilitates collaboration.

Flexible and Powerful for Note-Taking and Planning

  • November 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Notion's flexibility, and knowledge management capability which allows me to use and refer to different pages and ideas through shared links and documents. This capability greatly aids in organizing different ideas from various projects and meetings in one centralized location. It allows me to easily refer back to any topic or page, enhancing my workflow's efficiency. Additionally, I find the markdown pages feature particularly beneficial, as it enables me to promptly publish and share my notes with the public or teammates. This ease of sharing makes it highly convenient for collaboration and dissemination of information.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the integration with AI tools in Notion to be inefficient. Currently, exporting notes from various AI agents like ChatGPT and Gemini into Notion is not seamless, which hinders my workflow that heavily integrates AI. Additionally, the initial navigation through Notion's numerous features was confusing for me and my friends, which posed a challenge in understanding how to utilize the product effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for taking meeting notes, planning projects, record keeping, and tracking progress with its table and database features, making my workflow organized and efficient.

A Great All-in-One Workspace for Business and Personal Projects

  • November 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is everything. It’s data, it’s documents, it’s images, it’s writing. It’s flexible enough to be the central source of truth for my business, and my personal projects. I currently use it to manage my marketing content such as articles, blogs, and video scripts. It integrates with so many plugins and tools that the data can be leveraged on my website, with forms, and in my CRM and project management.
What do you dislike about the product?
I used to enjoy writing in Notion, but the flexibility is a curse here—it can do so many things that it’s not the best place for focused writing anymore. And the somewhat intrusive AI features keep accidentally getting activated…it’s disruptive, in a bad way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me keep all of the structured and unstructured data in my business in one place and easily searchable. I used to jot down ideas for content and other things for my business, and lose them. With Notion, I don’t have that problem anymore. Even random bits of ideas, screenshots, and even notes from YouTube videos (shoutout to the Snipo plugin) are connected and easy to refine into content and products.
