Notion surprises with a clean, minimalist design

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Copyediting, writing improvement, writing summaries, improving language, grammar, spelling, and accuracy of research/data.
Pretty good way to keep things organize
What do you like best about the product?
Notion has been great for keeping lots of documents in an organized manner — it's much better than Google Docs. The AI interface is also really easy to use for things like blog writing and summarizing longer documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
The table/spreadsheet feature is fine for only the most basic lists. If you want to do quick calculations or anything even slightly complex, you'll be going back to Google Sheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Notion as a knowledge management system. It is a centralized source of truth for processes and note taking.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how everything is customizable and that the interface is very pleasing to look at with the soft pastel colors for various applications. I am also quite pleased with how easy it is to add new photos without downloading and uploading them to the app separately. I have tried and failed to find an app or system which would help me track many aspects of my life, and I'm glad that I stumbled upon Notion.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how slow it can be at times and how buggy it becomes whenever there are new updates implemented. Right now, I'm having problems with the heading sizes in the mono typeface because it keeps on reverting to the serif typeface whenever I use heading 2.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helped me track various aspects of my life, such as daily habits, exercising, and journaling. I've also used it as a timetable and task tracker for my internship.
Fantastic tool for someone who spends a good portion of their day in front of a computer.
What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility, relational databases, the mobile application for quick notes or reference. Great for team collaboration, can be confusing for those new to this type of interface to get comfortable with vs a traditional microsoft or siloed progra like Jira.
What do you dislike about the product?
Relational databases do require you to have an idea of what you want before you build it, lack of a node or mind mapping tool that is integrated... Some ability to cross ref notes more easily similar to Obsidian.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've used it several times to change the tone of a paragraph - I've also used it extensively to take notes and thoughts and have the AI generate outlines, summaries, etc. for me. It has also been a great tool for consolidating disparate information into a singular thought and narrowing it down into organized, well-written, text. (It is hard to justify $10/mo + paying for services like ChatGPT Plus when I get more usefulness out of general use vs the narrative editing with Notion AI.)

AI features makes taking notes easier and more organized. I love being able to manage multiple areas of my life.

I wish there was an empty trashed pages option, I don't want to see any of my old deleted files.

Organized Manner For Keeping Track of Notes
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the functionality of the pages and the ability to be able to put together multiple pages in a structured manner. Specifically, with Notion AI, it helps with putting together the page quickly as a strong start.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that the blocks seem disconnected. When I move from one block to another, for example for a written text, sometimes it is within one block, and other times, it is across multiple blocks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving my problem of keeping track of notes and it acts as an efficient knowledge base. Specifically, I tended to struggle with finding ways to keep track of the items I learned over time - Notion has been a helpful way of solving this problem.
Notion AI Assistant Review
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it's able to create different types of documents in one place. Creating tasks, to do, graphs and more. I particularly like the new AI introduction.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that the AI Assistant gets buggy. It can simply stop and the interface isn't the most familiar. It can be easier to use in tablet on mobile maybe.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping me with my research and course assessment as a student. And it actually does learn fast. It's able to understand my format of writing and recreate that.
Great for students and young adults!

Wide customability. I'm able to tailor and refer to pages very easily.

Difficult to paste large text and images.

How I got my life together with Notion
What do you like best about the product?
I like that is it so aesthetic to use and that you can add things to the pages like clocks, a moon phase tracker, an astrology calculator and so much more. I like it because I made a book tracker, journals for my personal development goals, a list of contacts, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like I wish I can add more things to make it pretty, It took me a while to figure out how to format mine. I also wish the tables had more list options and that things were easier to design and add without it being so annoying. I also think there should be more fonts, stickers, tracking tools, and the ability to change the background color of the page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to stay organized because I struggle with being consistent in my goals so the layout helps me stay organized. Also AI helps me to complete research on things that I want to learn more about.
Notion AI integration: well done!
What do you like best about the product?
Notion is good for creating and organizing shared notes, but the recent AI integration really supercharges the user experience. I love using it for brainstorming and creating rough v1 drafts for various things.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's really not much I don't like about Notion... other than the fact that I've been using Evernote for over a decade, so I'm deeply invested in that platform offering a very similar product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy and convenient interface for using chatGPT/AI support. The sharing function works well too, and eases collaboration with various teams.
