Diversity of Features and Practical Organization
What do you like best about the product?
I like the practicality and diversity of features in Notion. The kanban view is another thing I really appreciate. Additionally, Notion has many more resources and allows for much better organization of things.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there could be a way to organize a visual connection of ideas, like in Obsidian. I think having an organization that connects ideas like a web would be interesting. It was difficult to initially set up Notion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for personal organization and management at work and of people, facilitating the organization of ideas and improving management compared to Trello.
Versatile Tool with Room for Interface Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Notion's ability for multitasking, which helps me a lot in my work. I find the filtering and grouping option particularly valuable for organization and database management. Initial setup was easy, and I use it alongside Google Drive without issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Interface could be more user friendly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for organization and database management.
Complete Efficiency, Lacks Visual Appeal
What do you like best about the product?
I like to be able to have everything on a single page in Notion. I use tables a lot to put everything I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the look of Notion could be improved to be more attractive. Also, the initial setup was very difficult because I didn't have any training.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion solves almost all my problems in the office, allowing me to have everything on a single page and organize my needs in tables.
Powerful Document Structuring, Ideal for Startups
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how Notion allows you to structure things like how they're presented in a document, which makes them very easy to read. When I print it into a PDF or share a link, it's really good. The feature where documents are inside documents, like a database document, and you get a single link to all those documents is something I found valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to visualize documents because when I click on something, it opens the same tab instead of allowing multiple documents to be open at once. I also had difficulty with the folder structure; I started with a database document, which isn't working well for me since it doesn't support the folder organization I prefer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to structure my startup ideas and personal projects, appreciating how it makes documents easy to read and share. Its document linking and PDF support solve my organization issues, although visualizing nested documents could improve.
Great for Modernizing Company Wikis, But Pricing Needs Clarity
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to have a more modern place to house a lot of information. Some of the older tools were harder to update and essentially make more pretty. With Notion, it's easy to update and clearly show what is verified and accurate and what's more stale.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think their pricing for the AI add-on isn't worthwhile. They also changed how they price things in the middle of our contract, which was frustrating. We initially had certain features and then they made us pay more. So pricing has not been transparent or consistent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion as our company's Wiki to organize a lot of different information for employees, managers, and internal policies and procedures.
Excellent Personalisation That Truly Delivers
What do you like best about the product?
I love the extreme & good personalisation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was more flexible on some aspects of personalisation. I wish I could influence other databases through an existing database more easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Large team coordination.
Centralize Documents with Incredible Ease
What do you like best about the product?
I love the convenience of creating and organizing things in Notion. It's very easy to use, which makes daily life more practical and agile. Additionally, I like the integration with other tools, such as Slack, which allows for mentions and notifications for specific things, greatly facilitating work. The centralization of documents in Notion is one of the best features, enabling centralized recording and organization of ideas, both in personal and professional contexts. I also find the setup process of Notion very simple and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that bothers me a little is the lack of an option to go back when opening a note or documentation partially.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion centralizes documents, facilitating note-taking, studies, and personal finance organization. At work, it helps with documentation and organization of ideas, optimizing our efficiency.
Simple to Use, Powerful AI, and Easy Sharing Controls
What do you like best about the product?
Its more simple to use than Docs & i can do a lot of things with AI. Also the feature of share help me a lot to control who can view my content.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of formatting in the pages, sometimes i wish to have more options to format my pages in text & separators
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All of our documentation is in one place, wich help to track all our efforts.
Intuitive UX, Ideal for Project Documentation
What do you like best about the product?
I use Notion for keeping track of engineering projects and QA, and it solves the problem of keeping documentation and progress organized. It's simple to use, easy to share or comment on docs, and very easy to link pages together, unlike other products. The clean UX makes it a nice product to look at. I love the '/' command to add pages, lines, or bullets, which is great for quick edits. It's easy to add a variety of elements like images and charts just by typing '/'. Notion's simplicity makes it easy to use out of the box, feeling familiar like Google Drive but easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think navigation could be improved a little bit. Sometimes it's hard to tell how docs branch off from each other. It's very easy to search for docs if you know the name of the doc, but I think Notion could do a bit of a better job of helping users maintain a 'table of contents' so to speak. If I'm on Doc A, and I want to get to Doc B, there's no easy way for me to 'go back' until I get to a page where it's obvious to find Doc B. I pretty much have to try and search for it by name. I'm sure they could use some AI to help with the navigation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me keep documentation and progress organized, allows us to write RFCs and design docs, and track QA seamlessly. It's easier to navigate than Google Drive or Docs. The '/' command enhances ease of use, and linking pages is simple and efficient.
Powerful Collaboration and Documentation Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I find Notion to be quite beneficial for various tasks at the company level, including technical documentation and internal procedures. I really like the powerful database capabilities. The AI and meeting transcription in multiple languages are super helpful, even though there are sometimes errors. Usually, the summaries and tasks from the transcriptions are accurate and align with what we intended. The initial setup was fairly smooth, with the admin creating a top-level page and granting us editing rights.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think transcription should try and identify different speakers. Also, recognition can be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for collaboration, meeting recording and transcribing, goal and action tracking, and process automation.
