A Valuable platform then and now
What do you like best about the product?
Since the epidemic hit and up until the point where kids are attending school in person, NEO has been a fantastic partner. The ability for students to access the content at any time and at their own pace has been a huge assistance to teachers. Given that our school's curriculum is so different from other schools, it is a valuable platform for us. The sites that students may access on other websites are already accessible in NEO when embedded, which is a great benefit for them not to get sidetracked by other activities.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are several elements that are difficult to bulk change, such as the school year for certificates, the dates of each quarter's grading period, and the grading display. Alternatively, there should be a mechanism to just check or uncheck courses that will have this specific configuration in the classes. The inability to upload images for an announcement is another issue.
Additionally, the Grading scale that we are not utilizing cannot be deleted or hidden. It bothers us that the old grading rubrics from our classes that are already in the NEO archives are still available.
Lack of guidance, such as pop-ups, on the ideal photo size for a profile, lesson, or class logo.
Also, synching content is really a problem since it is so difficult for us to create content in the parent class only to get a pop-up notification that there are no things to synch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The area where NEO excels is in its support forum, which provides us with prompt reply on issues presented and walks us through the precise procedures to resolve them. If we experience errors, it also informs us of what went wrong.
There is a section in the help center where we may recommend additions for NEO, but I understand that with so many users using the platform, it will be challenging for the NEO Team to implement them all. I just noticed the modification that greatly reduced our chances of making mistakes about the location of the parent class. They just included the section button in the parent class; the child classes are not able to see it.
NEO LMS: The LMS Standard for Schools
What do you like best about the product?
NEO LMS is by far the most user-friendly LMS for schools. Its user interface is simplified and every feature is self-explanatory. The task-to-do panel was very helpful and the announcement feature was very powerful in disseminating information.
What do you dislike about the product?
The subjects mapping are fixed and cannot be edited, whereas Organizations can be creared and deleted. Subjects are fixed and can only be edited through substitution via Terminology. For example, space program is something most schools do not offer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The centralized management of assessment and evaluation. Through the NEO LMS, students no longer neer to submit via emails which is difficult to manage. The platform comes with Class Record and you get to modify the Grading System that fits to the course or subject we are offering.
NEOmazing Experience
What do you like best about the product?
I would say the gradebook feature is the best thing in NEO since students get to see their progress real time by being able to see their grades in every assessment they do be it onsite or online. At the same time, the export feature of the gradebook is such a convenience for educators like me since we can easily copy the grades from the file and transfer it directly to our class record which then automatically computes the grades of every student.
What do you dislike about the product?
None actually. Everything in NEO LMS is suit for the needs of both teachers, students, and parents too! However, sometimes, I encounter some glitches with respect to the deadline of assessments which for example says will accept until 11:59 pm but won't anymore accept submissions by 11:45pm or 11:50pm.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Basically, as an educator, NEO LMS helps us do our job with ease in terms of providing online materials to our students, giving assessments to measure competencies, as well as record and track progress of our students thru the gradebook feature. NEO LMS also makes communication easier by providing different platforms such as messenger, chat, forums, etc.
User-friendly, flexible, and intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
What I love about NEO is the flexibility when creating curriculum such as self-grading homework quizzes and larger scale assessments. You can personalize each student's experience, for example, you could allow for retakes of a quiz with either all the questions or just ones the student got wrong the first time around. You can set up an entire unit for self-pacing or create curriculum that you'll use together in class. Creating and selecting questions from test banks, allowing late work for certain students, scoring extra credit, and varying the weights of assignments are all so easy to figure out and user-friendly. The NEO LMS platform is always taking feedback and creating additional features that help the user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes we encountered difficulties with students uploading files for an assignment. We didn't always have access to those files or students would have to put them in a shared folder in order for us to access them.
I would also have liked the ability to mark up the student's PDFs right there instead of just typing in the comment box so that the feedback would have been more direct.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to assess students with a multitude of question types. Students are able to access the curriculum easily. They know where to go and what to do without much explanation at all.
NEO LMS has always been my companion since college, even now that I'm already part of the academe.

It helps a lot of teachers to facilitate learners with their modules and exams.

It easily logs out from the server and some features are actually not working.

It's more on the utilization and more smooth process of the system.

What is our primary use case?
We use it to provide online courses for distance learning students.
We have both teachers and admin staff who work with the platform. Teachers can see student submissions and our admin staff can manage our course content and eCommerce.
How has it helped my organization?
We can customize our ordering system so we can have the data that we need to communicate with our students, their families, and our staff.
We can collect surveys, using the LMS platform, from our students on how their courses are going.
The ordering process is automated. When students register for a course, their course is set up automatically. We can manually register them when needed, as needed.
CYPHER Learning has helped by providing a variety of activities to help students get engaged, developing their independence and higher-order thinking skills. The quizzes and tests help keep our students engaged in developing their skills. I would rate the importance of this as 10 out of 10 for our organization.

We provide a great program and having a top LMS system is essential. Our students love the platform, from what we hear. One of the things that they love about our courses is the LMS system's ease and use.
What is most valuable?
The navigation is easy to use.
It is very easy for educators to communicate with students using the CYPHER Learning messaging system, which is imperative for our organization.
There are many applications available as add-ons. There are so many that we have not used all of them, but are happy to know we have more than we currently need.
It can maintain an infinite database of our students.
The solution is top-notch for tagging classes and assignments. The tagging is great for ensuring that the content is compliant with standards.
What needs improvement?
Work more closely with Cypher customers when launching new versions of the platform before going live.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using it for 12 years. Our company started delivering programs in 2010, and we started using CYPHER Learning in 2013.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
CYPHER Learning is definitely a stable solution. We have experienced less than 1% downtime.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The platform is set up so there are no capacity limits. Our program can grow as much as we want it to grow. We don't have any constraints around how many more courses we can offer or how many students we can add. There are no constraints around that.
The scalability is infinite. There aren't any limitations on what we can or can't do.
How are customer service and support?
Their tech support is top-notch. When there is an issue, we are always able to find a workaround that meets our specific needs. The tech support team help us with that. An example is using the reporting feature. If there is something that we need in a report and we can't get all the data in the default template of the report, then we can work with the tech support team who will show us how to customize it.
I would rate the technical support as 9.9 out of 10. It is almost perfect.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Before we moved to the CYPHER Learning platform, we tried another vendor and it didn't work.
We used another vendor in the beginning, which was low cost. We were a brand new company then, so we used what we could afford at the time. We switched because CYPHER Learning has everything. We were going to have to keep adding to what we had with the previous solution, so it was going to become cost-prohibitive.
I had an IT specialist, who was looking at our current system, recommend CYPHER Learning. He did a little research, and said, "This is the one you need." When we started using them, he was more than right.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is easy.
It took just one day to get it up and running. We were up the day that we started using it.
It is so user-friendly. You can create a course, and have that course up the same day. Though, it does depend on how much content is in your course.
What about the implementation team?
One admin was initially needed for the deployment, which does depend on the size of the deployment. Now, we have four admins working on it. There are also teachers who upload content.
What was our ROI?
When I first started, I wanted the enterprise package. We had to build up our student base to get up to the number of students that we needed to be in that enterprise package. Then, we had a 100% return on investment within the first year of using the program.
Our time saving increased by 70%, going from manual to automated.
The solution has definitely helped us reduce our administrative work. It gives us the ability to provide distance learning for students who are not all in the same area, which is valuable.
The amount of time that we need to use the LMS system to quantify things is minimal.
CYPHER Learning has 100% helped us save on costs related to printing materials, textbook acquisitions, and license fees. It is instant for our students when we update or come up with a new version of our programs because we use this platform. If we need to modify a quiz, update a course, or add new material, all our students receive that instantly. There is no reprinting. There are no out-of-pocket costs for us. Also, there isn't a time delay for students.
CYPHER Learning has helped reduce the number of staff needed to manage our learning management system (LMS). It would likely triple our staff and admin if we weren't using it.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
We do a monthly subscription.
It is priced competitively. Their pricing is one of the best in the industry. They are not the cheapest solution, but they are not the most expensive. The value that they provide, for what we pay, is invaluable. There are no add-on costs.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We have been using it for so long, and we wouldn't use a different platform. It is the best platform out there. It has become part of our daily environment, where we use it all day long.
The solution's ability to bridge our student's learning gap is at the top of the industry.
I talk with other schools who discuss their platforms. They always want our platform.
What other advice do I have?
Don't waste a lot of time evaluating other programs. This is the best one out there.
We have plans to increase our usage of CYPHER Learning.

User-friendly Navigation and Manageability of the LMS
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to navigate and use. It has a lot of functions. The contents are easy to organize and re-organize. Functions are very useful for class interactions.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was a confusion with the linking of a google form link and I encountered lapses with the student submissions.

I was able to solve the problem on my own by going back to the recorded videos during the online training.

What do you like best about the product?
NEO LMS has everything a teacher and a student need. It is user-friendly because it is easy to navigate. Its automation makes my work quick and easy. All features are useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there is nothing I dislike so far.

The delivery of online classes specifically asynchronous classes. As a teacher, I do not have to worry about content uploading because NEO LMS supports varied file types such as videos, PDF, JPG, PPT, and Word Documents.

I like the features of Neo on its accessibility in various links and lessons for classes..It is also a very good app for distance learning as well as new platform in the now.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides of neo is offline operations. I think neo must have that feature for offline navigation.
Nevertheless, it is as well good in answering costumers inquiry.
