Alpha Sense provides intuitive access to insight that is focused on our industy.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the intuitive interface, the ability to do focused searches and to save companies and keywords to make it easy for updates. I also appreciate the customer support team as they respond quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have experienced any downsides to using Alpha Sense.

Monitoring an industry that often times is difficult to find information on...
One of the top competitive analysis and research platforms
What do you like best about the product?
AlphaSense unlocks a new level of competitive analysis far beyond Google Alerts and packages the information in a readable format. The AlphaSense software provides a history of earning call information for public companies with sentiment analysis and the ability to find news on private companies.
What do you dislike about the product?
AlphaSense articles can only be viewed by other AlphaSense users, otherwise, the information must be extracted and sent out which takes more time. I've noticed the platform articles are delayed on some news. which could be hurtful to the organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AlphaSense makes it easier to locate and track competitors which generally takes significant time to gather information.
Strong platform to research public entities
What do you like best about the product?
Breadth of coverage: The platform has very holistic coverage of content on public businesses, which gives me confidence that my search was close to exhaustive
Speed to insight: The search is easy and intuitive. I can find key insights within minutes where previously it would take hours or even days
Search functionality: The search allows me to double click into content easily
Speed of evolution: I started using Alphasense 4-5 years ago (~2018/19) and it continues to get better by the day
Ability to add my own content: The platform becomes really powerful when you start adding your own content. It used to be bumpy but when scanning works well, it is fantastic to quickly go to insights from our own content / have all the research in one platform
Service: I've found the account team to be super responsive and helpful. They help out with specific searches where needed, training of people, fixing tech glitches, etc
I have not used the workflow too much nor the transcription library so cannot opine on that

What do you dislike about the product?
Increasing noise: As the content coverage expands, the noise increases. It takes me longer today to get the right data points than maybe 2-3 years ago, but that's the tradeoff with having a very broad range of inputs
Cost: It's pretty expensive for our use case but ROI may be clearer for people that use the platform day-in-day-out, equity researchers, etc

Ease of use, number of features, customer support, built in AI feature and smart reading for articles, spontaneous availability of transcripts of call recordings

Honestly I have not yet faced anything with Alphasense which I might want to term as a disavantage or dislike

AlphaSense is the melting pot of all kinds of information and analysis pertaining to an industry. It essentially taps into the pulse of a market and gives a very clear picture. In an age of data revolution, I must say AlphaSense is a game changer for industry and landscape analysts like me! It helps me with my competitve intellignce role by giving me relevant and timely information - the two keys things that helps an organisation to stay ahead of the competitors.

Sometimes it's tricky to write proper query to find important information.

Does All The Thinking For Me
What do you like best about the product?
The search capability, I am able to search very broadly but still pull relevant results from hundreds of different sources in a way that is not possible with Google or any other tool (CBInsights, PitchBook, Quid, etc.). The quality of the results and the aggregation of industries and companies is also hugely useful for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I do want multiple tabs open so I can hop from document to document and compare.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's the perfect supplement to quantitative tools like PitchBook. I'm able to do very deep dives on companies, industries, market chatter, etc. I use it for all of my projects, typically in all stages of research.

A Federated Search Capability for All Analyst Reports
What do you like best about the product?
AlphaSense is the only resource (that I am aware of) that provides a one stop shop for all analyst reports. I easily can find company-specific information in analyst reports AND industry reports that focus on many companies within an industry such as industrial engineering. Many people do not realize that the brokerage houses publish reports that explain a difficult to understand industry such as semiconductors - these reports also include the major players. Finding these types of reports is challenging, but AlphaSense makes is easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search strategy box could be larger - perhaps locate this box on a separate page from the list of results. With all the additional features for searching, it would be really helpful to have a separate search page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use AlphaSense for market research, so having all industry reports in one place is valuable to me. AlphaSense includes the narrowly defined industries such as Augmented Reality, Polyolefin Catalyst Market, and Global IoT Chip Market. My problem is finding information on these narrowly defined markets and AlphaSense includes the reports that cover these narrowly defined markets. AlphaSense also helps me with Competitive Analyses - comparing different companies' products, strategy, outlook, etc.
Great Product, Saves me Tons of Time
What do you like best about the product?
I like that AlphaSense is very intuitive to use and that my account manager is always very responsive whenever we have an issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that there is a page restriction on the ammounts of reports I can consume as it leads me to doing targeted search as opposed to getting a hollistic sense of how the company is doing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quickly able to find the evidence for certain claims I would like to make about a company that I am tracking.
