What do you like best about the product?
Availability of many resources in a single place, multiple filters
What do you dislike about the product?
Duplicate reports in search - sometimes show up as many as 5 times

Looking at analyst forecasts, company and asset valuations, press releases, corporate presentations. Analyst coverage is particularly strong

What do you like best about the product?
NLP capabilities. The ability to do intelligent searches.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't do side by side searches, part of insights, more than 2 years back and can't filter out blank results. I would like to look for trends side by side as far back as records are available, not just a few quarters.

Find answers quickly. Learned things that wouldn't have learned otherwise because it would have taken too long to search for them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Spend 2 hours to learn the product and it's features. You'll never go back to not using it. When I started working at a new firm, I asked for Alphasense.

The rich data sources, super intelligent and intuitive to use search engine and alert systems

At the risk of sounding cliched there is nothing to not like in the platform :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With AlphaSense platform we could access high quality Banker reports on our key customer accounts and enhance understanding of their strategic priorities as well as broad market trends as they unfold. This was super valuable for informing our key account management plans and long term strategic planning

What do you like best about the product?
Timeliness, prompt alerting, extracting key pieces of information in the alerts, capturing sentiment, search term highlighting, comprehensive content, analyst views and transcripts. Relative ease of use. Takes the pressure off setting up alerts in other systems and attending conference calls. I have moved into a new disease area and am able to gain valuable insights into companies and their assets. I feel confident I will not miss important news with AlphaSense. Excellent customer support with on-line chat and follow-up.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to log in! It would be great to have SSO. I used to have IE as a default browser and AS was not compatible but now that has been resolved with Chrome.
Maybe it is my own shortcoming but I have an issue overwriting previous alerts such that I have two almost similar alerts coming into my inbox.
Perhaps the introduction of Boolean operators and truncation.

What is the key opinion leaders/ analysts/ physicians view on a competitor's asset/ class, disease? how receptive is uptake of this drug? How does it fair against another molecule/ class. How likely is the drug likely to succeed. what are the future intentions of this company. What diseases will they move into? what is a company's strategic intent?

AlphaSense is an absolutely daily essential go-to for me to keep to to date on news and insights. I am now aware of any other service which provides access to such comprehensive content in an easy to use platform.

One-stop shop for all research needs and no need to pull up multiple windows and PDFs for modeling.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only complaint is that some filings are miscategorized with the wrong company but support team is very responsive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping organized in the research process, having historical financial statement tables in one place makes modeling very efficient

Transcript search functionality and markup features

Occasional OneNote sync issues and having to reload the page too frequently
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AlphaSense allows me to search decades-worth of transcripts for those needle-in-the-haystack mgmt comments that can sometimes move the needle on a thesis. It also streamlines my earnings season morning modeling by helping me to run through the current qtr release while easily flipping back and forth to the prior quarter release (which includes my prior quarter markups/notes).
Extremely fast and helpful resource for big data.

Interface of the app, reliable search engine

Some documents take long to load; The process to add new brokers could be more automated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it as a consolidate platform for my broker research (instead of looking tons of emails).

The functionality is excellent and it makes searching documents very simple.

There isn't anything I dislike about the product. Love it

I'm trying to solve for relative analysis always. There is a wealth of information on AlphaSense and it helps me frame my current company better when I see what other issuers are doing.

Get to know everything in the platform because there are so many tools that can help you solve problems.
Must Have Addition for Buy-Side Analyst Research
What do you like best about the product?
Lots of filing / document look-through and intelligence, the ability to integrate broker research, and sentiment / thematic analysis
What do you dislike about the product?
Only downside is that excel table export and blackline functions don't work with global filings (I do a lot of work on Canadian companies) - alternatives out there have the same issue though, and their other search functions / lookthroughs more than make up for that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A lot of my work involves combing through hundreds of filings - Alphasense cuts this time considerably by allowing me to hone in on areas I need to look into and identify areas of investigation I may have overlooked

Greatly removes a lot of grunt work from my research process. Definitely worth considering.
