A highly effective and cost efficient tool for competitive intelligence

Would love an option to access all brokers in real time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to consolidate competitive intelligence from analyst reports. Intuitive search allows us to get to the information faster across many reports rather than sifting through the information ourselves.

Ability to search across various sources as opposed to individually. Additionally helps me conduct competitive research.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sectors and industry informations outside of my own can complicate things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’m solving the problem of time management within my role. I’ve realized significant time savings by using the tool.

If you are looking for a powerful tool to search across many platforms, AlphaSense is a great solution.

Sometimes there's an important transcript or presentation that's missing, but this is rare.
Also if there's more market data to be a true BBG replacement that'd be awesome.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Going through transcripts and calls is v. easy. Easy to get a sense of what's going on with a new idea, as it searches all news as well. Helps me have confidence that I'm doing a thorough job

What do you like best about the product?
Alphasense is very easy to use. It is fast and gives me the exact information I'm looking for. I will go to alphasense first for virtually any research question I have.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing about alphasense that I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In Investor Relations, I'm using it to see what my peers are saying on earnings releases, conference calls and presentations. I'm also looking to see what our company said in the past.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Once you start using it, you won't want to give it up.
A Huge Time Saver and Easy to Source Data
What do you like best about the product?
the smart search engine is really useful so I don't have to type in every synonym, and the fact that it can search presentations as well

sometimes the document freezes on me in Chrome and I need to refresh page
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
two main benefits - 1) helps me sift through years' of transcripts with one easy search, and 2) able to export data from SEC filings into excel
this saves me a lot of time reading through and hitting ctrl+F on numerous documents

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to search for keywords across all broker research and presentations. I also like the ability to search for similar terms or for financial performance numbers.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I download broker research or any documents with searched keywords, none of the text becomes searches in the PDF. I wish I could filter broker reports by number of pages, to only see the lengthier reports that are more helpful or more easily exclude reports from brokers who aren't reliable (instead of going through the master list).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Industry and Company Research. I really like searching through all documents for multiple companies in a single search to get educated about an industry or set of companies. I wish there were more industry and broader market reports available on the platform for me to do more industry research in the platform itself.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get it if you review a lot of different types of company and broker documents as its a powerful filter and aggregator of useful information.
I thoroughly enjoy the search functionality.

The most helpful part is the search function and the content it seaches across.

I wish the platform was able to do more. Live transcript feed would be very helpful

I'm solving qualitative research pitfalls. I understand that if I conduct a search in AlphaSense, I'm confident I'm generating high quality results.

What do you like best about the product?
-Key word search is remarkable - not only is it accurate, but it is smart enough to pick up words or phrases that are peripheral to the word you searched. For example, searching "SSS" will generate results for "same-store sales", "comparable sales", "comp store sales", etc...
-View all/similar tables function - Single most time saving feature I have across any research tool. Within documents, you are able to click on a table (i.e. income statement), and receive multiple avenues for further navigation. Clicking "View Similar Tables" will take give you the option to view that same table on different documents (i.e. on last years 10K) without leaving your original place. Additionally, you can click "View All Tables" which will allow you to efficiently navigate from table to table within the source document without having to scroll.

What do you dislike about the product?
- When I refresh a the page while on a company tab or in a document, I am taken back to the home page.
- Needs to be easier to set and edit alerts
- Wish you had the view all/similar tables for foreign companies
- Personally think the sentiment indicator is pretty worthless - would rather see a stock chart...

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Efficiency of research and continued monitoring of companies - for the reasons listed above, AlphaSense has greatly benefited me in both areas.

Availability of many resources in a single place, multiple filters

Duplicate reports in search - sometimes show up as many as 5 times

Looking at analyst forecasts, company and asset valuations, press releases, corporate presentations. Analyst coverage is particularly strong

NLP capabilities. The ability to do intelligent searches.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't do side by side searches, part of insights, more than 2 years back and can't filter out blank results. I would like to look for trends side by side as far back as records are available, not just a few quarters.

Find answers quickly. Learned things that wouldn't have learned otherwise because it would have taken too long to search for them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Spend 2 hours to learn the product and it's features. You'll never go back to not using it. When I started working at a new firm, I asked for Alphasense.
