Must have tool for research analysts
What do you like best about the product?
One-stop shop for all research needs and no need to pull up multiple windows and PDFs for modeling.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only complaint is that some filings are miscategorized with the wrong company but support team is very responsive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping organized in the research process, having historical financial statement tables in one place makes modeling very efficient

What do you dislike about the product?
Occasional OneNote sync issues and having to reload the page too frequently
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AlphaSense allows me to search decades-worth of transcripts for those needle-in-the-haystack mgmt comments that can sometimes move the needle on a thesis. It also streamlines my earnings season morning modeling by helping me to run through the current qtr release while easily flipping back and forth to the prior quarter release (which includes my prior quarter markups/notes).
Extremely fast and helpful resource for big data.

Interface of the app, reliable search engine
What do you dislike about the product?
Some documents take long to load; The process to add new brokers could be more automated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it as a consolidate platform for my broker research (instead of looking tons of emails).

The functionality is excellent and it makes searching documents very simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything I dislike about the product. Love it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm trying to solve for relative analysis always. There is a wealth of information on AlphaSense and it helps me frame my current company better when I see what other issuers are doing.

Get to know everything in the platform because there are so many tools that can help you solve problems.
Must Have Addition for Buy-Side Analyst Research
What do you like best about the product?
Lots of filing / document look-through and intelligence, the ability to integrate broker research, and sentiment / thematic analysis
What do you dislike about the product?
Only downside is that excel table export and blackline functions don't work with global filings (I do a lot of work on Canadian companies) - alternatives out there have the same issue though, and their other search functions / lookthroughs more than make up for that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A lot of my work involves combing through hundreds of filings - Alphasense cuts this time considerably by allowing me to hone in on areas I need to look into and identify areas of investigation I may have overlooked
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Greatly removes a lot of grunt work from my research process. Definitely worth considering.
Useful tool for searching wide range of data sources
What do you like best about the product?
quick filtering of broad range of data, like the emails i can get automatically. Setniment analysis is quite cool.
What do you dislike about the product?
i think its sometimes hard to read the documents within the browser interface itself without zooming in

i like the ability to set search parameters and it stops me from missing anything from a wide data set

What do you like best about the product?
The search engine allows me to zero in on finite topics "organic growth trends" and "M&A history" within seconds. The search within document feature then allows me to investigate adjacent topics within a particular filing or research report
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was more company financial data that can be exported and manipulated
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The speed and efficiency of the AlphaSense search engine allows to me find companies tied to thematic trends like electric vehicles or sustainable infrastructure very quickly and easily. The sentiment indicators for transcripts also helps synthesize key points during a busy earnings season.

not able to upload data from my desktop, but that is a corp issue, not an issue for the product

The scope of searchable documents and advanced search functionality, user friendly graphical interface, excellent tool for idea generation and investment monitoring

would like to have a way to search for industry and thematic research pieces separately

Fixed income investment research - save time, uncover new materials for due diligence, be more efficient in taking in a large amount of data
Essential tool for Equity Research
What do you like best about the product?
Best feature of AlphaSense is to be able to quickly go through similar tables in different filings. Also easiest way to find past earnings transcrips.
What do you dislike about the product?
Really isn't anything not to like. AlphaSense has made my job much easier.

Reduces modeling time.
