What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Meltwater is its ability to combine media monitoring, social listening, and analytics in one platform, making it easier for businesses to track brand presence, market trends, and customer engagement efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
One drawback of Meltwater is that its pricing can be quite expensive, especially for smaller businesses.

Meltwater helps address media tracking and social monitoring challenges by centralizing insights in one place. It makes it easier to analyze trends, manage brand reputation, and ultimately save time.

What do you like best about the product?
I like Meltwater's ability to bring media monitoring, social listening, and analytics into a single, easy-to-use platform. A standout feature is the breadth of coverage across news, online publications, and social media channels, allowing me to get a comprehensive view of brand perception and competitive activity without switching between multiple tools. The onboarding team provided useful guidance on setting up dashboards, alerts, and keyword searches, which helped us get value from the platform quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few areas that could be improved. Like certain features are available only in higher tier plans, which may limit access for smaller teams. Improving the learning curve and making some advanced capabilities more accessible would make the overall experience even better. It would be helpful to make advanced analytics and reporting features available in more pricing tiers, or offer modular add-ons so organizations can access specific capabilities without upgrading to a significantly more expensive plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Meltwater to track media coverage and online conversations effortlessly. It brings media monitoring, social listening, and analytics into one platform, providing a comprehensive view of brand perception and competitive activity.

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater offers a full suite of media and social listening tools. New features are introduced regularly, and the Meltwater team is usually very helpful when I need support.
What do you dislike about the product?
For media relations, the platform doesn’t always have up-to-date contact details, outlet information, or reach numbers for certain outlets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Media monitoring for clients, with analysis tools to measure share of voice and other metrics to assist with reporting

Not perfect but the best there is!

What do you like best about the product?
I like that the product is constantly being updated and it's a fast-moving company. Support is available 24/7 and there's a sense from talking to account teams and attending events, that Meltwater has an ambitious culture. It's also an easy-to-use interface. Cision offers almost all the same things - but it's slower to integrate new technology and the people there are slow to respond and less eager.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of transparency in the sales process. My most recent experience with their sales team left me disappointed and distrustful. That wasn't my experience in the past so it was disappointing.

Product-wise, I love that Meltwater is at the cutting edge but the new products are unrefined, buggy, and often useless. Still, I trust that in time they'll be usable but the contrast between the blue sky language int he sales pitch and the reality of using the AI, for example, is jarring. Mira is not very bright.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding campaign performance; understanding brand perception; tracking emerging trends; reporting on all of the aforementioned and, in doing so, demonstrating the value of communications.

Sometimes things are missing when it pulls results

We struggled with calculating share of voice for client brands that are niche, but now we can calculate that fairly accurately

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Meltwater for their customer-centricity and commitment to product innovation. They're always seeking feedback and turning it into meaningful improvements on their platform. I regularly use Explore+ for deep analysis and tracking trends over time, and Mira helps me get quick insights and explore topics and themes effectively. The initial setup of Meltwater was easy, which was a great relief.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Meltwater could improve with more automated real-time insights and video intelligence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater consolidates media monitoring and social intelligence, filling the gap between unknowns and assumptions, and democratises insights. It provides near real-time insights to enhance proactive strategies and uncovers conversations we might miss.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Meltwater makes it super easy to build reports on our own and share them with clients for influencer marketing, social listening, and social media reporting. Klear, part of Meltwater, makes it super easy to communicate with influencers and keep all campaigns organized. Also, Meltwater helps us schedule social media and pull reporting data, as well as create social listening reports for our clients, which aids them in making important business decisions related to marketing and brand positioning.
What do you dislike about the product?
Meltwater Engage serves its purpose, but I do think it could be improved in terms of capabilities. Currently, it gets the job done, but I would love to see AI more integrated in its workflow. Setup was easy, but it did take some learning figuring out how the platform works and integrating it into our daily workflows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater helps us schedule social media, pull reporting data, and create social listening reports for clients. Klear simplifies influencer communication and campaign organization, while building and sharing reports is super easy.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can easily publish social across multiple platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are features that often are supposed to work and don't, general bugs that make it difficult as a social media manager to do my daily work. Sometimes there are connection errors to random platforms, sometimes native posts don't show up in the "Publish" calendar, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater makes it quick and easy to publish social across platforms and measure the performance of said social. This benefits me by making Meltwater a one-stop shop for nearly everything I need for social media management.

What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to tailor alerts in Meltwater. It makes it easier to get only the alerts I need. The ability to be specific in this way is really beneficial. Also, the initial setup was easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that the sentiment can be wrong, and it could use more accuracy.

I use Meltwater for media monitoring, which helps with brand awareness, competitor awareness, and crisis response.
