Robust Reporter Database & Useful Analytics, but Navigation and AI Need Work

What do you like best about the product?
I think it has a robust database of reporters and the reporting/analytics functions are very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it difficult to navigate and the AI features are not that impressive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me find reporters I need to send releases on faculty research. And it helps track where WashU mentions are placed.

Powerful Tool, Yet Not Intuitive

What do you like best about the product?
I'm still getting used to Meltwater, but it feels useful for finding reporters who are writing about different topics. I value the search functions, which help in identifying reporters. The function of emailing reporters is really simple, and I like the way the emails look. It is definitely an improvement over our previous services.
What do you dislike about the product?
Meltwater is not as intuitive as other services I've used. I'm still getting used to it and trying to figure out how to best find what I'm looking for. I'm also not really sure how to make the best reports. The initial setup hasn't been that easy. We've had to do a lot of work to build our search functions, and I do not find Meltwater to be intuitive, so I'm constantly having to remember how to do what I need to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Meltwater for media tracking, identifying reporters, and finding stories. It's useful in finding reporters writing about different topics.

Streamlines Mentions Monitoring, Needs More Personalization

What do you like best about the product?
I use Meltwater to track and monitor our company's mentions across the web. It helps us stay up to date by removing all the manual aspects. I really like how it automates the searches and shows them in one place. The automated searches are particularly valuable because they allow me to check where and who is mentioning our company, as well as key words and competitors.
What do you dislike about the product?
The alerts and reports aren't as personalizable as I'd like it to be. Providing more filters, such as type of content maybe.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Meltwater to track company mentions, automating and centralizing search results. It removes manual work and shows where and who is mentioning us, highlighting keywords and competitors.

What do you like best about the product?
A lot of tools in one place. I especially like the search features for writers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The navigation is very clunky. Setting up reports is also cumbersome and still requires a lot of refining once downloaded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easily distributing outreach to multiple targets, with segmentation.

The schema is rigid to work with. Hence that is something that can improved upon.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how Meltwater is leveraging AI tools within the software. I also like that I can request updates to the media database and the filtering capabilities for research. I also really like the reporting system and custom reports. The interactive reporting links are great, and I also love the AI studio for quick reports or research. The initial setup was great, they onboarded us easily and offer a lot of training.
What do you dislike about the product?
Meltwater has a lot of detailed options and the interface could be easier to use and less complex.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater makes tracking PR results consistent and professional.

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how easy Meltwater is to use and the breadth of functionality it offers. It's great that it includes publications in other languages, which is really important for us since we have so many students from diverse backgrounds. Meltwater saves my team and me time, making us more efficient. We can use it for multiple tasks instead of juggling different platforms and paying multiple subscriptions. Knowing about articles written overseas because of the multiple languages supported is very valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The onboarding process was a little complicated with lots of different emails with different links and sections in them. If there was a centralized hub or platform within Meltwater for onboarding that stepped you through everything, I would have found it easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater streamlines approving and sending press releases, offering professional polish. It helps us stay updated on media mentions and competitor insights. It saves time, enhances efficiency with broad functionality, and supports multiple languages, keeping us informed about international articles.

Competitive Analysis and Easy Setup with Meltwater

What do you like best about the product?
I mainly use Meltwater to review the performance of our brand versus key competitors. I like the custom alerts to identify spikes in communication. Look at Studio, it really makes using the platform much easier, especially the ability to generate prompts for information analysis with little knowledge of Boolean language. Also, the initial setup of Meltwater seemed simple to me thanks to Nacy's support.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are so many tools that sometimes it seems overwhelming to navigate them. The fact that all the available analysis options are listed on the left side confuses me. I would prefer if there were business questions from which I could start to explore the information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Meltwater to review our brand's performance against competitors and receive personalized alerts. It helps me measure the impact of communication and understand what people are talking about on social media.

What do you like best about the product?
The programming is very intuitive and easy to use once you get everything set up. Customer service is very responsive.

There have been a few issues with systems being glitchy and not updating data but thing are resolved quickly.

What do you like best about the product?
The real‑time spike alerts with AI explanations are outstanding; they surface why a topic is trending, the top terms, sentiment and locations, so we can act quickly.
I also love the shareable dashboards/reports for quick exec readouts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Two areas could improve:

1. LinkedIn coverage: the platform doesn’t consistently alert on posts where our brand is mentioned without a tag, which creates blind spots for executive thought‑leadership monitoring.
2. Alert relevance & controls: occasionally we receive noisy alerts; while sensitivity can be adjusted, smarter default filtering would save time.
3. Access continuity: if a renewal crosses the contract date, access may be cut off abruptly even as email alerts continue; a grace period would avoid work disruptions
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Media Monitoring Across Channels: It consolidates news, social media, podcasts, and broadcast mentions into one platform, eliminating the need to track multiple sources manually.
Real-Time Alerts and Trend Detection: AI-driven spike alerts identify when conversations surge, helping us respond quickly to emerging issues or opportunities.
