What do you like best about the product?
I like Klear the best. The sister brand to Meltwater that helps with influencer marketing. The courses for social and influencer marketing were also great!
What do you dislike about the product?
Im Klear, I don't like that the platform doesnt let you capture EMV for a campaign that isn't running. I would like to have an option to capture EMV for any content about the brand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
International mentions. Capturing missed content with the weekly/daily reports the Meltwater platforms sends.

Have a clear understanding of all your social and influencer marketing goals before signing.
Meltwater is very helpful with tracking our company
What do you like best about the product?
I like the newsletters that give me an insight into what we are mentioned in and stories relevant to us.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything I dislike at this stage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are tracking our exposure in earned media and where things are working on social media. Gives us real-time insights.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the widgets best because they look flashy in our reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the time it takes to load between options and the lack of explanation in the titles. I also dislike the limit on PDFs because I often have stories that achieve more than 100 hits, which means multiple PDFs for one report. That is inconvenient and wasteful. I don't like that you can't add tags to some of the widgets, as a search will not necessarily exclude all clips that are not relevant, but tagging does that. And then it can't be used, for example for social echo.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like the analytics, and it's quick once you've established a template. It looks impressive.

I use it for social media reviews and to keep on top of mentions. We also use it to monitor news sites for mentions of our organization.

Meltwater offers simple, understandable and thorough courses that will help you gain new skills
What do you like best about the product?
There are engaging quizzes/questions that make you really think back on things you learned throughout the course and help the course material stick with you. I also like how there are a lot of course options to choose from, several options for each topic.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there could be more courses specific to reviewing analytics and what this means for your social accounts or press releases.I also think there could be more courses that are intertwined with Globe Newswire to help the user better understand their collaboration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Although I haven't started fully implementing this tactic yet, I believe the outreach section will help solve a lot of media relationship problems. It will help assist in sending out thoughtful information on the company while showing who is paying attention while making new/strong relationships with reporters.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For anyone using Meltwater for sending out press releases, some recommendations I have are listed below:
- They partner with Globe Newswire, it has been difficult viewing my analytics reports and there is no platform I can log in to view these (they are sent to my email and I have to dig for them in my inbox to review them) so there is not much collaboration/communication between the two platforms
- Make sure you are thoroughly looking at the options for purchase when agreeing to the distribution lists for press releases. They also do not have local or regional options for distributions on press releases.
- Take the courses! They help navigate the platform and help you get the best practices and uses out of it.

What do you like best about the product?
I find it really amazing that I am able to access so much information across so many platforms. This is my first experience with social listening, and it's impressive to be able to access so much discussion. Melissa helps us a lot with questions and suggestions.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some things about the platform that are pretty clunky. Dates don't stick in saved searches, the saving and "save as" don't let you label on the front end (so you have to go back and label later), and there's no option to look at last 12 months (there's only the last year, which is the calendar year and can mean 11 months or 6 days). I have a hard time trusting the sentiment as I'm not sure how that algorithm works.
Training is tough. I think the quizzes are very good, but without feedback following a question or quiz, it becomes a guessing/manipulation game instead of learning. I struggled with that.

Quester is using Meltwater right now for our newly-established Social Narratives Department. We are learning every day, and we're using Meltwater to listen on behalf of clients vs. monitor our own reach. It would help us a lot if we could do a more detailed comparison between brands and themes so that we can give better analysis of what's happening in a specific category.

Struggled to add anything here. The platform is extremely user friendly.

This is as easy as it gets for usability. Dashboards are great and clear. Exportable backend data is easily sent and fast downloads.
