What do you like best about the product?
How easy is to categorize messages from customers, so after that it's easy for us to create specific reports and give our customers quick insights about customer communication.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not about the tool itself, but sometimes I think there could be more ways to make replies quicker. But so far, I'm very happy with the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The time it takes to answer quickly to customers, previous tools required as much as 4x the time we use now to answer all inquirys

Easy to use, good support from rep and covers all bases of social listening - i've used various social listening tools in the past and this is great

Sometimes have to click around a few times to find specific sections of dashboards despite using it for a long while

Insights of social conversations that are harder to find off platform. We have made our reporting a lot more indepth

Meltwater is a professional platform with a user-friendly interface, professional tools, and exceptional support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Meltwater is expensive, and the number of social media platforms that they support and integrate with are quite limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social media analytics scheduling, posting & reporting have become much more simple, as-well-as our media reports.

The most helpful thing about Meltwater is the ability to search about anything at any time.
What comes next is the zero limitation on how big and complex your search query can get!

The sentiment analysis especially with Arabic content.
The limited ability to use (*) when making a search query.
Sometimes there's a huge data loading time when doing a big date range.
The connection with Facebook is weird and lacks proper documentation (as far as I know).

Apart from the usual social metrics, there's the following:

Owned and gained media with any noticeable changes compared to previous periods.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a great software/tool with lots of potentials but be careful if you're a middle-eastern user. The quality of sentiment analysis for the Arabic language is below average! Other than that, It's one of the best social listening tools I've worked on.
I've also tried the API connections and it had really good documentation on step-by-step how to integrate. The technical team is really experienced and ready to help when needed.
Overall, It shall be on your top 3 list.

It is an effective search engine for the day to day, which allows me to be constantly updated with minimal effort.

A Great Media Monitoring Tool for Communications
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best features from Meltwater is the Explore functionality. The ability to perform highly specific boolean searches is an incredible tool to monitor brand mentions and perform news/insight searches.
What do you dislike about the product?
When organizing lists, the tag feature is useful, but it makes it difficult to easily edit a tag to organize searches by category. Also, the newsletters are a bit bland and it would be great to have the capability to customize them visually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem solved by using Meltwater is a gap in media monitoring. Meltwater makes it easy to track mentions, sentiment, and other metrics and report them out via email and/or Slack which has been incredibly useful to stay up to date.

It is a highly useful tool for media monitoring and the customer support is excellent.

How the information appears. It's pretty plain and not super eye-catching if I was going to take screenshots to share with others.
It shouldn't so difficult to build search queries. Searches depend on the boolean query being typed exactly correct. I feel like there's got to be a way to automate the process so that users should only have to type the word (or words) relevant to them - instead of having to know how precisely the parenthesis should appear.

Social listening and alerts on topics. I'm able to receive email alerts on certain topics that are of utmost importance to my organization and deliver these updates to senior leaders in a timely fashion.

Know what your organizational goals are before signing on to use the product. That will make the experience much more efficient and productive.

What do you like best about the product?
Explore is the best tool to make social listening researches and analysis. Even when some of it's filters can be improved, the quantity of data and the options to edit it (via csv files) are great.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Analysis feature needs to be improved to be the best option in the market because sometimes it doesn't show the correct data and suffers issues and date delays. A few times in 2020 the tool suffers breakdowns that delays more than 24 hours to be solved and that have several implications for my clients' reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social listening for my clients and their competitors. Analysis of their conversations to improve their service and to do better marketing strategies. A day-by-day understanding of their buyers and communities.

The best tool in the market for SL and media analysis but with a big scope of tools improvements.
