Meltwater is a powerful tool, but it's not easy to weed out irrelevant information sometimes.

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to adjust widgets and build dashboards, and fairly intuitive. It pulls in a lot of information quickly and helps compare across different metrics.
What do you dislike about the product?
It often pulls information that's irrelevant, despite working with reps to refine search terms. It also doesn't cover all social platforms that well, so we know the information isn't totally complete.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to get a pulse on conversations happening around our clients and their respective industries and competitors. It gives us a real look at how we're faring, as well as what's trending that we couldn't have found otherwise.

What do you like best about the product?
Access to every mention on Twitter, fast loading, and easy organization. These things make it very easy for ongoing crisis management. Also great support from the meltwater team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Other competitors provided more information about the audience making the mentions. Such as gender, age, and other things. A few competitors also were able to provide more Facebook and IG mentions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We do weekly social listening reports for brands to monitor negative comments. We use it to research users opinions of brands. We have been able to turn these into weekly reports for clients
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is excellent for monitoring and understanding the volume of mentions but not excellent at telling you who is making the mentions.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use. Very user friendly interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was more prominently shown when a post fails to post.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't have to post in real-time, I can plan out my social media calendar for multiple channels.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the customer service and the media tracking and reporting. The daily monitoring reports we set up were helpful in a crisis. I don't have experience with competitors.
What do you dislike about the product?
The positive and negative analyses in some reports weren't always accurate—more flexibility in the research. The interface needs to be more user-friendly. Somebody could improve the words by allowing more control by the user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we were in a crisis, Meltwater allowed us to monitor media attention and published reports quickly. We were more productive as a result. Business performance did not increase.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You will appreciate the staff; they are accommodating at all times.

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy being able to easily reach out to media outlets all over the country, as well as the ability to compile a daily comprehensive newsletter to distribute within my organization which gives our employees a better scope of the landscape affecting our organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, my biggest gripe is that it sometimes takes a while for an article to show up in the inbox. Fortunately, Meltwater has incorporated an easy way to add non-existing articles into the mix.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater allows us to monitor news trends and issues across multiple media platforms, which provides us with great insight into the full spectrum of issues affecting our organization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Meltwater is a force multiplier concerning outreach and insight. Highly recommend.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how user-friendly the Meltwater platform is! It's intuitive and it's easy to find the insights I'm looking for. I also love that I can sign up for daily update emails that get sent straight to my inbox.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing I dislike about the Meltwater platform or the service I've received from the Client Success team!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my role, it's important to stay up-to-date with conversations that are happening in the community so that I can report back to my clients or develop content based on what's interesting and relevant.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that there are different features, especially the social scheduling tool as this help me publish multiple pieces of content at once. I also enjoy the listening tool and the ability to customize the online listening portion and get granular in our results.
What do you dislike about the product?
The technical errors when scheduling social posts. For example, on Twitter I'm not able to schedule certain video files even if I can post them natively on the platform. I also receive errors when submitting posts that say "let's fix any outstanding errors" even though I don't have any actual error messages appearing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Online listening to gauge how our customers are receiving our service, as well as what customers of competitors are saying. This allows us to stay informed and help us make informed decisions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend Meltwater as I find it more useful than other online listening tools, but I would maybe recommend other social scheduling tools that are more refined and have a better UI and UX.

What do you like best about the product?
The contacts feature is very helpful for the work I do. Easy to navigate press releases, story pitches, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found any cons within the system thus far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking percentages of stories and engagement, along with locating journalists that I need to get in contact with.

What do you like best about the product?
the self-serve tool which can give me real time data anytime. It's good for agency to get data for pitching proposal and set up any crisis report. The wide coverage of countries and languages also serve multi-markets requirement.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of social channels in China, epscially two big ones - weibo and wechat
Limited posts on Facebook and no posts on Instagram being captured

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When doing pitching proposal, i use meltwater to search key messages of the brands and consumers' perspectives on the brands. The quick turnaround time and the buzz peak helps me easier define the key topics
