One of the best coverage tracking tool.
What do you like best about the product?
This is one of the best content coverage tool. Besides monitoring coverage of one’s brand, one can simultaneously find and email influencers, keep a track of all trending keywords. The most UNIQUE feature of this tool is that it can detect duplicate brand mentions (sometimes there are duplicate repostings of the same content that you post). So this tool detect these duplicacies and instead of increasing brand mention exponentially, it regects this but increases the quality of monitoring.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its not so impressive print and broadcast coverage book is a big turn off otherwise the filtered and genuine media monitoring sets it apart.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is very easy to use and customize based on regular changing needs. You can also customize reports – for example, if you’re working on a particular topic, you can set it up so you receive an email every morning on the latest coverage, or an important keyword you are tracking.

Easy user interface which makes it easier to setup and get started.

Customisations of the software is not possible by creating dashboards and widgets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
If you don’t have a method or process to track brand mentions and to search news mentions relevant to industry then this software is the best to go forward.

I love how you can customize searches, tag articles, find media contacts and export reports. I also love the trackable email readership when pitching.

I wish you could find social media influencers too and not just news writers

If you have lots of time to talk to their constantly changing staff, it's an okay product

The software makes it easy for us to track when we're mentioned in press releases and on social media. It's cut out search time down to almost nothing.

No issues with the program, it's really helpful!

I like the ability of good insights you can gather and the quarterly reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is way too manual. Our team does not have the bandwidth to be researching and updating everything that needs to be accounted for in our daily reports. Even though we get emails daily, most of the articles that appear are our own social media and PR efforts. It's not giving enough insight into our competitors standings.

Trying to keep an eye out on when we get media exposure and when our competitors do as well.

Have one employee dedicated to analytics use the product to help with stats/reports/etc.

Very detailed analytics. I can see how long a journalist has looked at my email and things of that level of detail. Dashboard is customizable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lots of features and widgets, but this means it takes time to figure it all out.

PR outreach
Love using this for media monitoring and sending out newsletters.
What do you like best about the product?
This product is perfect for monitoring the engagement of social posts or editorials regarding stories on your company or university. It is such an incredible way to figure out what news is breaking about your "place or thing" of interest.
What do you dislike about the product?
I only really dislike how you need training to figure it out. It's a bit tough to do on your own. Once you learn, it's better but it's a bit confusing, especially if you aren't familiar with the terms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No business problems. Some benefits include easily making media lists from contact information of journalists in the area. Also, allowing us to compile all good news about our university and send out in a form of a newsletter to retirees.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely utilize if you're looking to brand your company through new and social postings. Good for taking control of the narrative. Also, good to see analytics and traffic. We love using it for pushing our positive stories to local media.

Meltwater software is adaptable and moving forward in the right direction, it has progressed positively from a customer standpoint in the last four years
