Meltwater is the best solution i've found for real time push alerts of headlines mentioning key clie
What do you like best about the product?
The app experience is seamless. I like how the influencer data base refinement tools allow you to get very granular with who you are seeking to find.
What do you dislike about the product?
The duplicates feature was a bit hard to navigate and sometimes means missing an outlet that the client cares about because higher impression volume is shown as primary result.
Results in other languages are not translated via the app or within the dashboard, another click is required to understand the headline and its relevance.

What do you like best about the product?
The social media platform is incredible, it has worked for me with the reports. The measurement of work times for people in customer service is perfect sometimes. The tracking of tags through messages has helped to work on all the problems that have occurred with the application. Listening to users and the media has allowed us to save from several crises.

That I cannot go further in the forms of response like gifs, photographs, and others

Mostly-Satisfied Customer
What do you like best about the product?
I am a fan of Meltwater's media monitoring tools, as well as its list creation and segmentation tools, and its influencer targeting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some aspects of the platform's press release functionality are not intuitive. It's semi difficult to find the area of the site where one can find and compose a press release. It is also not clear whether or not the user will have to do all of the legwork in updating each and every media contact, or if Meltwater updates them automatically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Contact organization and segmentation. Disseminating releases to wide audiences. Gaining an understanding of how we are being mentioned by the media is also important.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Utilize the list building features. Harness its capacity to provide metrics for something like social media. Understand the size of your lists before purchasing, however. There are some limitations Meltwater places on the size of overall media lists.
Great content sources but expensive and difficult to use
What do you like best about the product?
The wide range of media sources and the convenient daily email reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard is complicated and difficult to customize. I shouldn't have to go through multiple training sessions just to learn how to use it. Meltwater is also very expensive for small non-profit agencies like ours. The thing I dislike the most is your accounts receivables department in Vancouver. They tried all sorts of sales gimmicks to get us to pay our account early, and they wouldn't give up even after we told them "no". It was really disrespectful and bad customer service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social media and content for our e-newsletter
Easy Boolean Setup and Useful Social Monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy the booleans are to set up and that they can be applied to social monitoring. You can harness these to monitor specific social accounts for certain terms or topics.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like most monitoring platforms, it won't catch everything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater is useful for social and media monitoring.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Meltwater is a useful tool, but would recommend augmenting with other tools as its not a catch all (most monitoring platforms aren't.)
Monitoring at all times
What do you like best about the product?
We have been using the system for several years, and although it serves as a complement to a local service we have contracted, in recent years it has been extremely useful for network monitoring, allowing us to have quick responses to real-time problems. The mobile application is also very useful as I receive alerts on my phone, especially when there are negative comments on specific topics, which helps us to provide a prompt response with information on our institutional media. It is important to monitor media at an international level to understand what the barriers to our content are.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are still difficulties with the mobile application's server, and sometimes the content doesn't load. We've also had issues with passwords not being recognized both on the web and in the mobile app, which wastes our time when we need to access information quickly. Other times, we've had problems because information from other universities with similar names to ours has appeared.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This year has been very important for us, especially network monitoring. Through networks, we were able to prevent a problem on campus, which resulted from the water restriction that occurred during the months of March and April, due to a climatic phenomenon that affected all of Peru. Thanks to the monitoring, we were able to identify and see the difficulties that arose over the weekend on campus regarding water usage, which allowed response actions to be taken. Then we were able to identify and establish a timeline of events related to the policy that the university recently approved, which also allowed us to provide pertinent information in our institutional media.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Especially in their network monitoring tools, they are very useful and we can segment only those linked to the brand.
Mostly good but there have been some challenges.
What do you like best about the product?
I'm able to receive notifications on the keywords that I'm most interested in from the outlets that I want to hear from.
What do you dislike about the product?
The change in the press release process wasn't clearly communicated to my team and there seem to be delays with product updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to track out competitor coverage much more easily than before.
