Efficient Influencer Database and Reporting, Exceptionally Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
We love the influencer databses and reporting funtions on Meltwater the most. It is easy to use and efficent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating searches with the keywords can be confusing but the Meltwater team are very helpful at guiding us each time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Real-time monitoring and reporting. Influencer vetting and monitoring.
Effective Media Reporting with Some Coverage Gaps
What do you like best about the product?
I find the ability to create dashboards with Meltwater particularly useful, as it significantly simplifies the process of generating a media report each month. These dashboards help me by making it easier to measure the effectiveness of our political communication efforts. This feature is a key component of what I like about Meltwater because it enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of my workflow, particularly in counting media hits and assessing the media value for our spokespersons. The tool's functionality in this area is impressive, helping me gather, analyze, and report essential communication data smoothly each month.
What do you dislike about the product?
I still find some local media coverage, especially Afrikaans media, are not always picked up. Additionally, the initial setup of Meltwater was a bit of a struggle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater simplifies measuring the effectiveness of political communication and facilitates monthly media reporting through dashboard creation, enhancing the reporting process.
Staff Support Makes All the Difference
What do you like best about the product?
The support provided by Meltwater staff has been a great boon. Without them we would have struggled to get off the ground.
What do you dislike about the product?
The service is very overwhelming to beginners and the training on site is often unhelpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our ability to track hits across radio, newspapers and online. The service has been informative.
Outstanding Support and Powerful Features
What do you like best about the product?
The customer support for Meltwater is unmatched. Anna was such an amazing rep that helped me tackle any issues I had with the platform. The platform itself was full of amazing capabilities, but again Anna really wasn’t above and beyond when helping.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was less so about melt water, but more so about the constant having to reconnect social network accounts
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The accessibility of social media management, social listening. It’s made my job as social media manager way easier.

What do you like best about the product?
All of the representatives that we have worked with have been very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They ensured we had the tools we needed, offered helpful advice and recommendations, and ensured we knew how to use them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the tools are still in the early phase and have some minor inconveniences that require a bit of manual work on a monthly basis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For our small team, it is increasing our communication capabilities, helping us be more targeted and effective with our outreach, as well as providing insights into prospective audiences and our competitors.

I love Meltwater for its ability to keep our multiple brand CPG company organized under one roof, which allows me to view everything in one unified platform. This usability aspect significantly eases social monitoring and planning tasks. I appreciate the user-friendliness of the platform, which enhances my overall experience and efficiency. Additionally, having a dedicated customer success manager ready to assist at any point is a major advantage, providing reassurance and support whenever needed. I find the Engage and Explore features particularly valuable, as they enable me to anticipate upcoming content on our social platforms and keep track of circulated news and PR on a weekly basis. The initial setup of Meltwater was straightforward and smooth, making the transition seamless for our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Meltwater's Engage had a story function. I would like to be able to schedule stories ahead of time.

I love that Meltwater provides everything I need in one place for managing my company’s social media accounts, allowing us to post, engage, and analyze all aspects seamlessly. I find it very easy to work with, which is a huge plus for my daily tasks. I also enjoy the ease of posting to multiple channels at one time, which significantly enhances our efficiency. The Meltwater team is very supportive and hands-on when solving problems, ensuring any issues we encounter are addressed promptly.

I experience issues with connecting our accounts on Meltwater, which has been a persistent challenge. While the Meltwater team is very hands-on and tries to help solve our problems, the connection process remains complex, and I believe it could be simplified.

I use Meltwater to streamline managing all social media needs in one place, allowing posting, engaging, and analyzing efficiently, and find it easy to use. However, connecting accounts is sometimes challenging.

What do you like best about the product?
What we value most about Meltwater is its ability to give us a comprehensive, real-time view of our media presence. Their platform allows us to easily track earned media mentions, monitor key conversations through customized keyword searches and social listening, and distribute press releases directly to targeted journalists. The ability to export clear, usable data for campaign, event, and reporting purposes is a major asset for our communications work.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this time, we don’t have any significant dislikes. Meltwater meets our needs well, and any minor adjustments we’ve required have been easy to manage within the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater helps us solve the challenge of staying on top of a fast-moving media landscape. By centralizing our media monitoring, social listening, and journalist outreach in one platform, we can quickly identify mentions of Advocis, track key issues, and understand the conversations shaping our industry. This supports better decision-making, more effective communications, and stronger reporting for our campaigns and events.

What do you like best about the product?
Their continuous drive to develope their products but also to stay customer centric and always providing additional help.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their media database coverage is not fully global.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater easily gives you an overview of your media reach, also very good analytics of tonality etc.

What do you like best about the product?
I greatly appreciate the customer service provided by our account advisors at Meltwater, as they always help us with everything we need. This constant and effective assistance is invaluable for our use of the platform, as it ensures that we can resolve any problem or question that arises quickly and efficiently. Additionally, we decided to switch to Meltwater because of its wide range of services, which better suits our needs compared to the previous product we used.
What do you dislike about the product?
I experienced limitations with the Meltwater API, which restricts the efficient use of the platform. Additionally, the structure for expanding queries could be improved. It would be advantageous to be able to contract them individually, instead of being forced to acquire them in packages, which limits flexibility in adapting to specific needs.

I use Meltwater for social listening and media for our clients, better fitting our service coverage needs.
