We rely on Meltwater to keep up with media alerts relevant to the organization and social reporting
What do you like best about the product?
The search function of Meltwater is helpful for us to stay aware of what people are saying and sharing about our organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to have more searches available to our team without paying for an upgrade. The system for uploading photos to social media posts via Engage could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater Engage is really helpful to have social media analytics all in one place.
Social Media Management with Meltwater
What do you like best about the product?
Excellent for monitoring keywords based on your organization/brand. Decent social media metrics/reporting. Fantastic training tools and support available (DIY training as well as support at the account level).
What do you dislike about the product?
Scheduling social media posts functionality needs improvement. Often when scheduling tweets, there are handle issues (@ handle does not pull up the user account). Do not have the ability to schedule multiple tweets at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saves time by being able to schedule social media posts, especially on days off and holidays. Keyword monitoring is very robust and detailed and saves significant time when monitoring sentiment and any customer service/brand concerns.
Impressive social media scheduling, and analytics tool
What do you like best about the product?
It's straightforward to understand and navigate. I like the competitive benchmarking, excellent feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside I noticed is that I can't tag other Facebook pages when scheduling social posts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to be able to schedule, manage and get reports. The most beneficial feature is competitive benchmarking. It's very comprehensive.

The versatility of the platform is highly appreciated.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't see any downside to the application. You just need to navigate regularly to find your way around and become comfortable with it.

Meltwater allows us to have constant visibility on what is being said and commented on about our organization.
User-friendly platform with response and reliable representatives
What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater is very user friendly. The database has an impressive amount of media contacts and makes pitching and reporting super easy. Plus, the staff at Meltwater are extremely response and go above and beyond to help answer any question or request.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that Meltwater was more easily integrated into other apps such as Jira, Outlook/Gmail, Slack, etc. Additionally, Meltwater isn't as good as other compeitiors such as Business Wire when it comes to media pitching.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater is helping us pitch our press release to national, targeted media companies. It's made us more productive, saved time when it comes to research and writing, and has helped us reach far more media agencies then we would've been able to on our own.

Intuitive dashboard, easy to find the information you need, great at-glance display

Helps us understand our position in the market versus competitors and strategize about the most common/best communications channels for our brand to use.

I think that Meltwater offers a unique service that could be overpriced for a lot of smaller organisations that could benefit from their insights

It helps us contextualize the media attention that some of my clients get
Once you're set up, it works fabulously
What do you like best about the product?
How well the program is able to let us manage our public relations and social listening efforts. I've been able to automate many tasks that used to be manual, time consuming, and arduous.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not really easy to set up the Explore searches. It's even more difficult when you have a company name that's a common term. The onboarding team were a GREAT help in making sure our search hits were mostly about us. Some others still slip through the cracks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We recently took all our public relations efforts in-house. While I've done some PR before, I certainly needed the help in learning which reporters and publications I should target and how I should reach out to them. The training from Meltwater and the actual software have helped immensely.
Easy platform to use
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is easy to navigate and visually appealing.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I think can be improved on the platform are the approval process of the social media aspect, Engage, and the notifications that come in the email.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently using the Meltwater platform for our social media scheduling and posting. We previously used it for PR and Media monitoring as well.
Staying one step ahead with media monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
What we at Boite à clés like best about Meltwater is the media monitoring option. We can stay on top of our clients' current affairs and are always the first to know. We also often use the newsletter option. Our clients are always satisfied with the content we send to them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not Meltwater's fault, but the lack of social media access makes media monitoring difficult. We would like to have access to what the public on social media is saying about articles. We know that Meta has many confidentiality parameters, so we know it cannot change for Meltwater.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater simplifies media monitoring because, with the Explore section, I don't have to research articles manually. Not only does it facilitate this task, but it also finds a more thorough search compared to manual research, where I could miss important news articles.
